Shopping For Food For A Rabbit.
I entered the Magical Menagerie in search for rabbit food. It was slightly cold, but not extremely cold in the shop. I headed over to the shelf labeled food, looking for rabbit food. I remember very vividly the day we found her on the street… It was cold and me and my mom were walking back from the bakery. There was a slight chitter from a box with holes in it. I crouched down, lifting up the box, a rabbit shivering on the cold concrete. “Can we bring her home and try and help her?” I ask my mother. “Yes, we can, but I don’t know about keeping it.” My mom said. “Okay then.” I said, petting the rabbit softly as we made our way along the sidewalk, the neighborhood coming into view. We walked along until in front of the house, heading inside where it was warm. I set the rabbit down, taking my coat and gloves off before picking the rabbit back up, which was FREEZING, and quickly heading upstairs, turning the stronger heater on, trying to heat the room up and hopefully help the rabbit at least not be what felt like a block of ice. Once it wasn’t freezing, I went upstairs, turning on the warm water, setting the rabbit in and making some rabbit friendly soap, beginning to bathe it, hoping to get any dirt specs out. After that was done and the soap was out, I went and grabbed a towel, drying the now warm rabbit before bringing it back downstairs, the rabbit’s fur fluffed out. I set the rabbit down on a soft, fluffy pillow and went into the kitchen, opening the fridge and grabbing carrots, cabbage, celery and picking out small bits of kale, putting it in a bowl for some rabbit friendly food and went over to where the rabbit was, giving it a bit of food. It must have been starving since it was honestly eating a little fast. There was still some full carrots and celery pieces in the bowl, but they still got cleaned out with the bowl. The sun was close to setting, the sky darkening as the sun began to lower. "I've got to figure out where you''ll sleep tonight..." I murmured. "I'll figure it out, it's fine." I said. It wasn't the first time handling animals, at one point she had to take care of one of her parent's friend's cat since they were heading to America for a vacation. They found a makeshift bed for it, which was a pile of pillows, and it seemed to be fine with it. The light tan rabbit was snuggling into the pillows, I guess enjoying the warmth.
