Taking everything in
After everything that happened yesterday with the sorting hat ceremony and going to our dorms, everything seems a little overwhelming. It’s nice just to walk around the castle grounds with the fresh air blowing against my face, the birds flying high in the sky and the distant chatter of other students walking by.
As I take everything in around me, the beautiful sites the lakes the trees in the woods everything here is just so relaxing and calm.
* pulls out a book to read *
As the courtyard becomes less busy what a great time to catch up with my favourite book character Newt, from fantastic beasts, I don’t know how many times I have read this book but I could read it again and again.
*reads a couple chapters and closes book*
As I look up from my book and look around the courtyard, there were no more birds flying high in the sky was beginning to get dim and there was only the odd one or two students still sat in the courtyard. maybe I should go in and grab something to eat before it gets too late.
* walks into the great hall and find a seat by herself so she can grease upon her food whilst reading her book peacefully*
I always struggled socialising, but once that awkward first meeting is over it comes naturally to me. For now, I’m quite happy exploring the castle and catching up on my reading. I’ve got plenty of time to make new friends.
