So, I apply and then when I'm indexed I can go to the ency update form for spells, potion, coding and abilities?

As a first year, you cannot. You can see how much money you have in your Purse though!
You can send 'money' by sending objects though and then the player you give it to can sell that!

So the purse defines how much I have? Then what about the 9 galleons on my profile? What does that define?
