Although she had turned away from Victoria to take other photos, she had not left the vicinity of the tent. No her attention and her camera had been trained on Hjørdis entering. *click* She snapped a photo of the woman entering noting a certain aura about her it was as if when she walked into a room she commanded it even if she was not trying. That was something that inspired Santario greatly, something that she herself aspired to have. Regardless of who this woman was she had a feeling it would be someone she would observe and look up too.

That however was when she heard a voice presumably coming from the girl behind her. Lowering the camera from her face she would turn and level her piercing sapphire eyes on the redhead at the table who had introduced herself as Victoria complimented her outfit and asked about her photos and declared not being good at it. “It is a pleasure to meet you Victoria, my name is Santario.” Such formality accompanied by a soft voice like a feather drifting on a breeze. “As far as my outfit, thank you. It is really just my normal clothes. I was not aware that this was going to be such an… extravagant event.” She was being polite she really wanted to say that she wasn’t aware that it was going to look like a birthday party for a child who didn’t know any color other than pink.

Though had she known it was going to be more extravagant she would have worn something different. Her grandmother would drop dead if she saw her here right now in this outfit and would probably drag her away by her hair and make her change. She was accustom to wearing muggle clothing because her and her parents lived in a muggle town, but her grandmother completely despised it with everything in her.

“As far as the photos this is not digital. Digital muggle cameras won’t work here so my mother bought me this one special. After I can convince a professor to help me set up a temporary dark room and maybe even donate some developing solution to me, I can make sure you see them.” She turned back to the party not being rude to Victoria just to take a couple of more photos. She had noticed another girl entering talking to the rather tall boy who had been so excited over the sweets. *click*

So far everything at Hogwart's Summer-camp had been rather overwhelming for Lark. From the cabin to being around so many others but mostly having spent a good deal of the summer alone. Something she was not accustomed to yet had almost started to look forward to quietly exploring and taking time to draw different locations on the grounds.

Last week however, Lark had received an invitation to a Bracelet Making event and overhearing talk of it being something of a birthday celebration for Professor Bercegeay. She had rushed to write an owl to her Gran explaining the situation. The lack of communication from her parents meant they would be far too busy for an errand but Lark knew her Gran might know what to do. Lark had spent an entire day asking around about a possible gift idea for the Professor. She knew enough from her family that she could NOT show up to the event empty handed. Thankfully her Gran had managed to get a package to her in time for today.

The walk across the grounds had been pleasant with the weather. Carrying the golden giftbox carefully as to not jostle the contents around, Lark finally came to what appeared to be the entryway. A wall of portraits! The same flowing brown hair and sparkling eyes in each one, many with the woman in wonderfully interesting outfits Lark had never seen before. Talk about pretty! Slowly Lark made her way past the pictures looking over each one with a smile. She had never been to a birthday party, other than her family... which usually ended in a tense argument and right before the cake could even be presented.

Leaving the forest of pictures, Lark noticed people were there already either chatting or participating in the event itself. Her eyes glanced around at the decorations.

"Wow.." Lark let out a breath. Whoever set this up did a fantastic job. To her right there was a gorgeous setup of food and snacks and.... this THIS was magical. Not the tricks and spells her father had shown her when she was young. She was thankful her mother had made her pack a couple more formal pieces of clothing... She had warned her to always be prepared even with Lark's protesting. Out of the three options Lark settled on a floral pattern dress that hadn't been wrinkled from the trip. Although she drew the line at some strappy sandles she noticed her mother had also shoehorned into her trunk... instead going with her favorite pair of leather boots.

Stepping further into the party area Lark noticed the decorations still hadn't even stopped with the table setup and picture entryway... a balloon arch? The cake. Goodness!! Hoping to spot a gift table she bit at the corner of her bottom lip. Not seeing any, her golden eyes scanned the tent where all the bead making supplies were gathered then noticed a group of others around the woman from the portraits. It had to be Professor Bercegeay.

Feeling a little... alright terribly out of place, Lark picked at the hem on her dress. She didn't want to head over and interrupt the conversation as other students presented their gifts. Instead she thought to wait until she could make her way over and introduce herself to the Professor and wish her a happy birthday. For now, Lark decided to take a lap around the tent and inspect all the bracelet goodies. Her mother had tons of crafting supplies but never let her touch any of it. Not only was the atmosphere and decor something to drool over but the glass beads were gorgeous as they caught the girl's eye.

Looking back at the Professor's she thought maybe she could spare some time to sit and make a bracelet before having an opportunity to meet them. Finding a small container for some beads on the back table, Lark picked out various shades of blues with a couple tube looking metal beads as spacers. Taking a seat at one of the tables Lark set the gift box down next to her. Laying out her materials she let her mind wander as she strung different blues together in a pattern. Hopefully Professor Bercegeay would like the present her Gran had sent. She had managed to get her hands on a rather pretty quill even Lark had been keen on as well as an inkwell that she assumed her Gran had offered from her own collection. She always enjoyed collecting them and everyone in the family knew if it was their birthday most likely a present from Gran would be...an inkwell. Lark hadn't minded though, they were often pretty. One of the other students at camp had mentioned the Professor loving pink... and although skeptical at first that they had exaggerated the extent of the Professor's love, Lark was glad she noted that to her Gran for the gift.

Looking back out onto the party she noticed everyone else mingling. Okay.. just a couple breaths and she could stand up to walk over to the Professors.. for now though her feet felt like lead and legs like jelly.

A beautiful witch made her entrance, colourful robes flowing freely behind her in a graceful manner Angellica could only hope to achieve some day in the future. Though she hadn't had class from the tanned woman, she was certain she knew who she was. After so many days in the Great Hall studying the professors table, and doing her research into who taught what, she would wager the woman was the divination professor. Although she herself was skeptical on the subject, she still read tarot cards, which gave her a sense that perhaps she was holding double standards on the matter.

"Hi," she responded with a smile. "I'm Angellica," she introduced. "And this place does have a lot of positive energy doesn't it," she agreed more than asked. Normally the know it all, she would have introduced the woman instead of allowing her to, but there was too much going on for the Ravenclaw to be her annoying self she seemed to be inside the castle. If anything, she was anxious to sink her pearly white teeth in a macaron.

In the distance she could feel the flash of a camera, and she could only imagine she would find herself in photographs. Though she didn't mind, it did curb her desire to stuff her face with sweets and more so made her stand a little straighter, and display herself a little more gracefully as her mother had taught her. When the head of Slytherin made her appearance, Angellica beamed at the greeting. Honestly, she could have hyperventilated, but kept that for later.

"Good afternoon, Ms Jensen," she responded cooly to the acknowledgement she'd received. Two adults had acknowledged her. Angellica could die a happy student.

"Professor Bercegeay obviously outdid herself with the festivities," she spoke in that even tone her mother had taught her to make use of. Of course she also knew she probably wouldn't be welcome long, and her mother had made it clear that guests were like fish. "I uh, I should go make some bracelets," she said gently, taking her bow and allowing others to chat with the professors.

Before making her way to the tables however, she made a pit stop by the dessert table, placing a few macarons on a plate and bringing it with her. She sat near a girl with a gift box beside her. Perhaps in a different lifetime this would have been her, uncertain and scared to go up there. "Hi," she greeted the blonde (Lark). "I'm Angellica," she introduced herself, grabbing some beautiful beads to work with and yet not being quite sure how to start. Honestly, she'd never made a bracelet before. Jewelry was goblin work in her family's eyes.

@Santario Martin

As Santario turned to continue her picture taking, Victoria sat back down at the bracelet making area. She picked up her thin polyester string, methodically adding a pink glass bead after a white glass bead to the place where she had abruptly left off earlier to introduce herself. “It certainly is quite extravagant, isn’t it?” she agreed with the girl. Initially wanting to add more to this thought, she bit her tongue, not sure how Santario would take it. The last thing Victoria wanted was to come off as rude. It seemed to Victoria as though Santario also thought that the whole party was a little over-done, but she wasn’t sure enough to just blurt out every thought that popped in her head. After all, there were multiple people around, so even if Santario was on the same page as her, that didn’t necessarily mean that the other students were as well.

A moment later, Victoria stopped adding beads again and turned her attention back to Santario. Rather, she really turned her attention back to Santario’s camera. “Now that you mention it,” she thought aloud, “I should have realized that that wasn’t a digital camera. I have grown up with a lot of muggle things. I had no idea though that those didn’t work here.”

“I would quite like it if you were to make sure that I saw the pictures afterwards,” she began again, tying her bracelet together as she finished it. It hadn’t taken her very long to create, but she planned on making a second one so that she and her sister could have matching bracelets. The only difference would be that hers would have purple and white beads rather than her sisters pink and white beads. “I’m sure they will be fantastic. You look like you know what you are doing.”

Lark had been busy wrestling with her wrist and the cord for her bracelet making an attempt to tie it. She was about to give up when she heard steps behind her. Turning her head and looking up she saw a girl behind her, a gorgeous floral dress on and silvery blonde hair flowing past her shoulders. Lark tried not to stare but she was taken aback at how wonderful the girl looked!

"Hi, I'm Angellica." Even her voice was something to admire. She seemed quite at home among everyone here and so sure of herself. Lark hoped to be confident like her one day. Giving a warm smile Lark nodded to the girl.

"Nice to meet you, I'm Lark!" She watched Angellica picking out different beads.

"I love your dress. You look amazing." Lark hoped that hadn't been too forward but she felt the girl deserved the compliment. She could only imagine the thought that must have been put into the outfit. Looking to the plate of sweets, Lark felt her stomach stir at the idea of eating. She had skipped breakfast, or rather missed out on since she had been too busy trying to get ready. The dessert table would be her next stop.

"This really is a well decorated party." She commented looking out towards the rest of the party. "Is this pretty typical here? My parents sent me here early this summer, I haven't even been sorted yet." The girl gave a half smile and peered down at her bracelet giving up trying to tie it off. "This is actually the first event I even brought myself to attend. I feel a bit awful for it." She admitted with a soft laugh feeling a bit embarrassed. Angellica looked to Lark like she was well versed in everything at Hogwarts.

It hadn't been for lack of trying or not wanting to go, Lark just let herself give in to her nerves far too often. She had gone from being completely home bound and around family to tossed into a magical school with tons of others around her.

Santario stopped taking photos she felt like she had enough besides all of this pink was hard to take photos of. Though the only person there dressed in mostly black probably would think that. Realistically it was just wasn’t her kind of thing she was not a huge fan of pink or sweets and the only jewelry she wore was her locket and the two studs worn in each earlobe. She would detach the lens that she was using from her camera and place both of them carefully into her camera bag that rested against her left hip. She was listening to the girl speak as she did this and would in fact, if not surprisingly, sit down across from, her at the bead table.

“Muggle tech doesn’t really work here from what my parents told me not unless it is all mechanical in the way that it works or as long as it works with our physics or something. I’m not really sure how it does or doesn’t work to be honest.” How it did or didn’t work was not of interest to her. It held no bearing on the things she wished to do here. Her eyes drifted to the opening of the tent as the other two girls came in and sat down at the table, but they would eventually find themselves back onto the girl she was speaking with. “I’ve been doing it for 4 years now. I wouldn’t say I am a professional or anything but it is one of my favorite hobbies.”

Not many people questioned you when you had a camera and most people left you alone when you were taking photographs not wanting to interrupt the creative flow or mess up a shot that may have been included in something important. It was also a great way to people watch which helped her learn how people interacted with each other. “So… Who’s the bracelet for?” She asked in an attempt to carry on conversation something she did not fully possess skills for in this kind of setting or with people her own age. She could talk a professors ear off all day long but put her in front of another eleven year old and she felt lost.

Victoria smiled as the girl sat down across from her. She was pleased that she had started (so far) lasting conversation. Having been at the school for over two weeks, she had yet to really find anyone to talk to, so finally finding someone was a breath of fresh air. It was obvious the two girls had a lot of differences, but she sensed they must have many similarities as well, and this excited her. Santario seemed very smart and like someone that Victoria could look up to, even though she was the same age as her. To Victoria, this girl seemed wise beyond her years. Listening intently to the words being spoken to her, she realized the girl must have been very young when she began her photography hobby. She wasn’t quite sure how old the other girl was, but she wouldn’t guess she was more than a year older than her.

When Santario asked her about the bracelet, Victoria’s eyes lit up, thinking fondly of and missing her young best friend. “It’s for my sister, Adelaine,” she told her. “She is my best friend, but she’s only nine, so she won’t be here for a couple of years. Her favorite color is pink, so she would love this party. I instantly thought of her when I came in and thought I should make something for her since she can’t be here. I’m thinking about making a matching one in purple for myself as well.”

She had only been here for about a half hour, but she was already getting thirsty and saw that there were refreshments across the party at an appropriately pink table. Nothing from this distance looked good to her, but perhaps if she went over to the table, she would find something that she couldn’t see from here. She made a mental note to check it out after she was done with her second and final bracelet.

Olphie was elated, though not surprised, to see that a small crowd of adoring fans had infiltrated the area, as if her party was as important as unveiling the secrets of aliens. She was no alien, of course. She was Olphie Bercegeay, not a resident of Area 51, but probably a resident of Paradise Ranch. Having been recently introduced to the strange concept that was the Area 51 fascination, the thought was on her mind as she watched each fan trickle in through the waterfall of pictures. If she had not planned this party months in advance, she would have made this party alien-themed, she reckoned, as that was the "hip" topic with the youths nowadays. Instead, Olphie was just left wondering if any of the students would Naruto run into her party. There might be no aliens at the party, but Olphie deserved a good laugh.

If someone did, she would certainly play the official music and apparate to go get whatever "Arby's" was. But for now, the party was business as usual, and the Flying professor would greet her guests with a genial smile. "Miss Riding, a pleasure!" She gasped as she eyed the gift. To think - the students had known that deep down, she had secretly wanted gifts for her birthday! Olphie truly had accepted a dream job on that fateful June day. "Yes of course, do put it on the gift table. I'm sure it will be crowded later, but for now you should be able to find a spot."

She wanted to focus more on the lovely girl and get a chance to compliment her outfit, when a loud and girlish scream interrupted her thoughts. Olphie was about to usher Miss Rowboat to help guide the new boy - Quaker Heeleys, was it? - to the gift table, as he had also brought one, when her eyes flickered in excitement upon recognizing her ever-elusive coworker.

No-edge Bonnenuit was a beautiful woman, with impeccable skin and a style, it seemed, that was able to match whatever party she was attending. Olphie reached to grab the beautifully-flowing cape, eyeing the small, wrapped present that was in the woman's hand. She craved that gift more than the others, as Beanknot certainly had better present-choosing abilities than children. Smile widening, she raised her gaze to the professor as she bellowed in her always-loud voice, "Foulest Couples and Toast to you too, dear!" - it was a greeting that she was unfamiliar with, but if the fashionable woman was saying it, it certainly must be as trendy as Area 51 - "Why yes dear, I did. I couldn't have a party without a little Olphie Bercegeay flair, you know! My fans have high expectations. Now tell me, where did you get this beautiful cape?"

The red-haired Healer boy had expressed his excitement once more, but before Olphie could get a word in, he walked away to meet up with a troll-looking girl, whose name was escaping her. They looked content; she'd have to socialize with them later, though. A good host never leaves a guest unattended.

Come to think of it, there were another few students that had entered without Olphie noticing, but currently her main concentration was the entrance of the always-impressive Normal Jenieson. Olphie's heart fluttered as Harmless told her that her party was energetic; she was always looking to impress her mentor, especially after their first meeting. It was safe to say that Olphie had a bit of a crush on the woman. That style...and that booty. Running had certainly done her some good; for a brief moment after their first meeting, Olphie had been inspired to take up the hobby of jogging. It was after about five minutes when she abandoned the idea, however, as her fair had fallen out and her makeup had been washed away by sweat.

Flushing at the compliment, Olphie nodded and said, "Why thank you, Professor Jermany. And might I say, many happy returns of the day to you too! I love your outfit." It wasn't true to theme, like Nodding's cape, but it still was très chic.

Olphie took in the scene before her; she really had quite a nice turnout. With all of these entrants so quickly, she was projected to end up with the same number of attendees as the population of Rachel. But unlike rural Nevada, Olphie was prepared. She had made sure the invitations were not removed from the campgrounds, so that all students had been able to get one. She had attempted to contact Belize, so no professors would be tempted by the allure of exotic travels instead of her party. Shockingly, Belize did not respond to her requests. But all these people had shown up, already, and Olphie was thrilled with her event's success. It may not have been Area 51 themed, the hippest party theme yet, but Olphie's party was already a hit.

A smile lit the blonde's dainty features as she took in the girl before her. Silver blue hair, golden flecked eyes, she was pretty and unique in appearance. Truthfully, she tried to tie the name to something bird like, but other than thinking of a little bird, she couldn't quite find what it was she was looking for to remember her name properly by mnemonic means.

"It's nice to meet you Lark," she responded easily enough. Smiling graciously at the compliment she received. "Thanks, mother sent it," she said gently. It was hard to gauge how she felt about it, having mastered that ambiguity early in life to avoid discipline.

"I like your dress too, it's cute," she returned. It was true, and though she wasn't sure how she felt about the boots, she knew it was more from what her mother would have said than her own feelings about it, so she kept quiet about it, though not without having notes of her own in her mind.

Angellica lined up her beads, and looked around the table unsure what to really do. Everyone seemed to know how to do most of these things. Making bracelets, pranking people, honestly, she never knew what to expect anymore.

"Are you starting Hogwarts in September then?" she asked, though she tried not so seem judgy. She knew sometimes it was harder than it felt. "I mean some professors tend to go all out, and honestly, most parties seem to end in chaos. Our end of year ball I helped organize ended up a disco ball disaster," she recalled the moment with a shrug. Honestly, she had been attacked more times than she felt comfortable while at school.

Angellica smiled warmly at the girl. "Studying is much safer than coming to events, but this one shouldn't be too bad," she offered in a manner she hoped was encouraging. "I avoided most events my first year, but I missed out on making friends, so this is a good thing you came," she offered before taking a dainty bite from a lavender macaron. "Would you like one?" she asked once she'd swallowed the bite, pushing the plate between them. "Maybe you can help me with this I uh...I never made jewellery before." It was hard to admit such a thing. Especially to someone younger than her. She should have been the example, yet there she was, feeling somewhat dumb for lacking a basic skill. She hadn't even read about this sort of thing, though it was added to the list of topics in her mind.

San continued to look around at all the different interactions going on about the party. The more and more she stayed the more and more she didn’t really want too. This kind of a thing just was not for her; not only did she stick out like a complete sore thumb wearing all black at this pink over elaborate party that seemed to be a disguise for the professor celebrating her birthday, but she also didn’t even know the professor in question. On top of all of that she disliked most sweets, so she was not even interested in eating anything there.

She noticed Victoria’s eyes lighting up and the she spoke about her sister something she couldn’t relate too at all. She was not only an only child but did not have a best friend and had never had a best friend unless you included a cat and a toad. “That was a very nice thought of you to make your sister a bracelet. I would also agree that making one for you as well would make her happy.” She had once worn a ribbon on her wrist that match the color of the cat for months so she kind of understood the meaning behind something like that. Although in her case the cat definitely did not care if she worn that silly ribbon or not.

“Well I certainly do not wish to appear rude however I think I am going to take my leave. This kind of soiree just is not something that I normally attend unless forced by my grandmother. It was a great pleasure to meet you Victoria and I am sure we will see each other again.” With that Santario would stand up and sling her camera bag over her shoulder and unless stopped she would discretely make her way out of the party hopefully not drawing any more attention to herself.
