Soon after returning to Beauxbatons Célestine was thinking about sending owl to the headmaster of other school. It was unfortunate how their arrival at Hogsmead went and events following that tragedy were bond to lead to changes. However, this visit could also serve as an opportunity for new connections between newly appointed headmasters.
With these thoughts Célestine decided to send an owl to the Durmstrang Institute first. However, she was distracted by organizing everything in Beauxbatons, which delayed her sending owl significantly. When she finally got to writing her owl, she used a paper that looked quite elegant and upon finishing it, she put it in envelope with Beauxbatons stamp on it. Her handwriting looked as if it was drawing, elegant and beautiful despite her writing in English. If anyone would look at it, they would never expect that the letter and the writer were far from feeling happy at the moment of writing. She used an owl to deliver her letter to Mr Albrecht.
Now it was only the matter of time to see what will come out of this beginning. From Headmistress of Beauxbatons

Emery Albrecht
Dear Mr Albrecht,
I'm writing you to express my sincere condolences for those who lost their lives in this visit to Hogwarts. It's a tragedy that will hopefully help us to unite and help each other in the future.
It's also a time to congratulate you in regards of you taking a position of the new headmaster. It would be surely a happier occasion in any other time, but so we bear even more responsibility for our students. I'm looking forward to knowing you better and to witness all the changes you will bring to your school.
As you might know, I stepped in the position of Headmistress of Beauxbatons and events that followed our arrival at Hogsmead lead me to think that looking for strengthening connections between our schools would be the best way to go. Hopefully, we can protect ourselves and our students better and not let the tragedy repeat.
@Emery Albrecht

xxxxx Emery Albrecht had barely received the position of headmaster the day before and he was swamped with connecting students to healers to address the trauma the entire generation of students around the world had experienced. There was also the necessity of grieving well, and he was planning a memorial for the students who had tragically passed away and their former headmistress. During this moment, when the future lives of Durmstrang's students, professors, and himself were on the precipice of destiny. This was a time of great pain and Emery Albrecht's mind accused him of bringing the curse of death upon his school. His child had passed away while Emery had been abroad. Adelheid had been thirteen and she had been with her friends when they had snuck outside to explore the city at night. She was sadly left alone on accident according to her friends. Adelheid had experienced the worst of humanity that night, the worst of humanity that a young girl might experience.
xxxxxThe perpetrators had left her alone in the cold, and Emery’s partner had found out their daughter was missing when picking her up at the friends’ home after the sleepover. She had passed away in the cold on that street, unable to call for help because she did not have enough energy after how much damage her body had undergone to grab her wand. Emery and his partner had separated under the inability to work through their own guilt of feeling that it was both their faults that she passed away. His partner had soon passed away after that in a freak potions accident. Emery had not been living in the same country as his partner at the time. His partner had been experimenting on trying to create a cure for werewolf bites, a potion beyond wolfsbane, when the cauldron exploded onto his partner, and the corrosive nature of the potion was too severe for healers, causing his partner to soon pass away. Emery often felt guilty, incredibly guilty. This guilt was rooted in his identity at this point of his life, having spent years with the desperate realisation that death had come to quickly to both his lover and his child and that he could have done something to help them! It felt the same with Pyre as the press had begun to call it. These children and his headmistress were deceased and though it was not entirely his fault, he had been paranoid and he could have quickly investigated the surroundings. He had made the mistake of trusting that everything would be safe even though he did not feel it to be. However, it would not do for Emery to wallow in this guilt, for his job was to help these students not have survivor’s guilt, not be forever stuck in pain as teenagers and young adults.
xxxxxThis was the thought that was upon Albrecht’s mind when the owl came through his window. He beckoned it over and it dropped a letter from the newly appointed Célestine de la Croix-Valmer of Beauxbatons. He read through the letter with great focus, considering the words with squinted eyes.
xxxxxThere was indeed a unity in pain perhaps. A school tie would be beneficial in this new era. There was something afoot in the political machinations of the world around the academic. There was a possibility that this was an attack against the recent policy changes or general terrorism against the modern world. Emery would benefit from a tie with the very long established academic world of France, and even his students could benefit from knowing that there were students across in a completely different country who understood the same pain of losing a headmaster or headmistress and fellow classmates. The language of grief trespassed cultural and linguistic barriers. Perhaps indeed, this would be a great tie indeed.
xxxxxAfter having read the letter, Emery carefully pondered and prepared his own letter.𝘌𝘮𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘓𝘶𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘯 𝘈𝘭𝘣𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘩𝘵

Célestine was lost in her thoughts. So much had to be done, and the most important of them was the safety. Safety of students, staff, and hopefully even other schools. She didn't understand why in this world of harm, hate, and betrayal the ones who had to suffer were children. Why wouldn't it be someone else? Or better, why couldn't they achieve peace? She understood everyone had their own culture and even beliefs, but it didn't mean that children had to become a target.
And Abraxans, animals that suffered simply because someone decided it was the best way to express their hate. The only thing she was glad about, if she could even call this feeling as being glad, was that at least it didn't happen with more of them still inside the carriages. Whoever did it was merciful enough to let most of the children get away.
Grief. She'd be lying if she said it was the first time to face it. Despite being young, Célestine had already experienced the loss of the one she loved some years ago, and now this. It seemed to follow everywhere. The world itself immersed in it, greeting like the best friend. With these thoughts she was interrupted by an owl. Célestine took a letter from the owl and read the reply from Headmaster Albrecht. A rather fast reply she had to admit. She looked through it carefully and started to write her next reply.

Grief, unfortunately, is not a stranger to me, but I am saddened by the fact that children had to face it in such a cruel way and so early. Indeed, most of them were and still are in shock and have to go through therapy. Now most likely trying to not have survivor guilt. I hope that our unity can help them find peace and learn to live again. I hope you can not blame yourself for that tragedy, as it's impossible to be ready for this or to be in multiple places at the same time.
I also came to the position as a result of this tragedy and otherwise wouldn't even think about ever taking this position. But as we are now new headmasters let's do our best to give our students a better sense of safety. They need to learn how to protect themselves, and we need to learn how to be better prepared to protect or save them.
A tie between schools could be considered an easier target. Unless we make our connection so strong that we can't be used against each other. The world is already in enough chaos, and I am seeking some peace and sense of safety across our students. A unity in such time can also bring us closer and figure out a new way of protection. Let's honor lives and work on a better future for the children that are relying on us.
Best regards,
