The two girls once again took off. They hadn't actually chosen a finish line, a point Avis only noticed once she was halfway to the shore, but at that point she really didn't care. The race was just an excuse to go as fast as possible back to the shore. The colder she got, the less and less her swim looked like a swim, and more and more it looked like a dying fish flopping about on land as she floundered her way back to land. Cloak. Warth. Fire. Happy. In general, Avis was a sophisticated thinker, not one to blunder around with words, but at this point, she was basically a kindergartener.
She launched herself out of the water, not even noticing the mud as she pushed off, and tumbled onto the land. At this point, she did not care if Sabrina's challenge wasn't over. Hypothermia was certainly soon to set it. She stood up on the shore, only for the bitter wind to take the droplets of water and almost freeze them.
If there was anything worse than swimming in a cold lake, it was standing in the bitter wind in sopping wet clothes. She bounced up and down, a motion that both helped and hurt, over to her satchel and pulled on her Cloak of Warmth, pulling up the hood and letting out a long sigh as the heat flooded her body. She was still shivering, and didn't actually know if she would ever be warm again, but magic cloaks certainly did help. It was like being in a sauna, and Avis stood there, slightly scared that moving would break the magic that was slowly warming her.
Once she could again form coherent thoughts she turned her attention back to Sabrina, who seemed to have gotten to the shore just moments after Avis. "I believe that's a win for me."

Sabrina had no idea how she got to the bank. The water was whooshing and splashing around her - definitely more than it should've - her fingers pressed together, her hands forming cups to better push against the water. Push, push push. Kicking her legs, trying to keep her knees straight for more strenght. At one point, she slightly scooped into the mud beneath her, losing her momentum for a bit. She got it back quickly, but her stumble definitely caused her victory, pushing herself up onto the muddy ground minutes later after Avis which - honestly, she couldn't care less about.
"Yeah, suppose so" she agreed, pushing her clothes aside, careful as to not shove them onto the ground, silently cursing her past-self for placing her robe of warmth at the bottom of her pile. Finally getting to it, she let out a shaky sigh of relief, immediately wrapping it around her shoulders, following Avis' example and pulling the hood over her damp braids.
Rubbing her hands together and breathing into them, she reached into her shoulder bag, pulling out two towels, tossing one to the other girl. "Here. For your hair, at least" she smiled, a distant memory of her mother's words ("wet hair in cold weather is a certified recipe for a stuffed snouts") passing through her mind as she untangled her braids, squeezing her hair, water dripping through her fingers.
Drying her hair using the towel, she then twisted her hair into a turban. Done with that, she rocked back on her feet, tapping her toes against the grass, pulling the sleeves of the robe over her hands, curling her fingers into it.
"I vote for getting a bit warmer, scurry to the nearest loo's, change there and head to the Great hall?" She proposed, wrapping her hands around her stomach. The robe was definitely working, but she'll need warming up from the inside, either from movement or hot tea.ReducioRoll for tossing the towl at Avis:
Strength [d20:16] + 5 = 21
Accuracy: [d20:18] + 4 = 22
Should be fine.

Well, Avis was happy she had won, and she would think of a nickname later tonight, but right now she was still cold. She snatched the offered towel, but after a quick tug at her hair ties confirmed that they were not planning on coming out, at least until she coaxed them with a hot shower, she simply wrapped the towel around her head and ponytail, trying to at least keep the water off of her cloak. Even though she - and the cloak - were already arguably soaked. Her tunic was absolutely sopping.
She copied Sabrina, rubbing her hands together, to no avail, before grabbing her satchel and throwing her school cloak and hat into it, with numb hands. Casting a glance towards the castle, she nodded her agreement. "Sounds good. I may need to run up to my dorm for a new tunic and leggings."
Dead grass cracked under her feet as she shifted her weight from one foot to another, almost hopping. The cloak was great, but her toes were starting to regain some feelings, and it felt like needles poking into her soles. The wet shoes were not exactly helping either. She turned on her heels and looked back at Sabrina, waiting for the girl to lead the way.

I don't think you need to roll to throw a towel. It's more things against Avis:)
You are welcome to make a new thread, Avis will follow.
