AEIOUSAAs if getting tickled to death wasn't already bad enough, Prat could no longer cast spells either. His very slim chances of obtaining a victory over the older snake kept dwindling further with each passing second. Prat had no way of casting a spell now, his already flaky spell casting now rendered useless with Koko's Mimblewimble. Prat had somehow in all his time duelling, in all his infinite wisdom, never attempted to think of a possible strategy against said spell. He had half a mind to run behind Raizel and use her as his meat shield. However, that could be seen as very unsportsman like of him. This being one of his reasons to ignore that idea, instead opting to attempt and actively dodge Koko's spell.
He wasn't very sure in his ability to dodge it, considering his track record. Evasion was not his strong suit, much like most other avenues when it came to duelling. It was these thoughts that made him wonder if he was attempted to live a lie, wonder whether forcing his way to duelling was even going to be fruitful or did he simply lack the talent or luck needed for such accomplishment. With a sigh Prat readied himself, posture tensing up further as both Raizel and koko offered him words as a show of either confidence or sympathy. Prat couldn't speak, best he could do was reply to them both with a thumbs up through his comical suffering.

❂《 ⌜ December 22, 2024 ▎ Sunday ⌟▛▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔Perhaps she had spoken too soon for there are worse things to happen than being tickled and being unable to cast spells at the same time and that’s… well, vomiting slugs. As if feeling that tickling sensation all over your body and your tongue twisted in a knot wasn’t uncomfortable enough. Raizel would’ve looked away because this was a bit too much yet she had the duty to watch this until it was over, until Prat was unconscious and free from this suffering. “That’s nasty but you got this!” That was a lie, he doesn’t got this at all but giving him more encouragement should at least help in making him feel better? Maybe?
She would flinch, grimace but kept that unnerved grin on her face. Maybe she wasn’t just used to seeing that slug vomiting spell, not really that much used in duels when you moved past from your second year and learned more vicious spell like the Cracker Jinx and Wind Jinx. At times like this is when she realizes that those second year spells are just as devastating as those ones in the higher year although they probably lack the strength. Poor Prat had no choice but to try and dodge that, having no way to defend himself. It was more surprising he didn’t just go up to Koko with an attempted punch but surely, that’ll miss too. But hey, that was better than not doing things at all.
Raizel had this urge to reach for her wand and just prepare herself for the outcome of this duel specifically, healing Prat maybe or just enough for him to have enough energy to go to the hospital wing for treatment. Does she know any healing spells? There’s Episkey but that’s an advance spell that she learned so she doesn’t know if she’ll be able to pull it off even. Again, better than not doing anything.

· · ─────── · 𖢨 · ─────── · ·Every time Koko thought she was being kind, it turned out that perhaps kindness could really be cruelty in disguise. In hindsight, she supposed that vomiting slugs was not fun, ever, but surely it couldn't have been as bad as a Confringo? Not that she thought she would be able to successfully cast a Confringo; those were notably difficult, and she was, of course, not a good spell caster, even if she was proving herself wrong cast by cast.
She kind of wondered what it felt like to have one's tongue tied while one was vomiting slugs. It had to be horrible. Well, she wouldn't do anything to do with his mouth this time. She figured he'd had enough of that. Maybe he would even be able to talk! Koko wondered what he would say once he could talk again — maybe she didn't want to find out.
She glanced up at the storm cloud only to see... a storm cloud. She couldn't bring herself to do anything to get rid of it. Let it stay. That would be better.
As much as Koko usually craved victory, she couldn't bring herself to grin at success after success, not when it made her feel... not when it made swallowing difficult, not when it was easy. It wasn't supposed to be easy. And she didn't even think it was Prat's fault. She wasn't supposed to be this good at dodging, anyway, even though it was nice.

AEIOUSA“That’s nasty but you got this!” LIAR!! All those in involved knew he so did not got this. Prat was possibly in the worst possible shape he could've been in his life during a duel. The upper years were in a league of their own and Prat had now felt the experience. Not that is was going to hold him back from recklessly duelling another senior. This instance however might have him rethink before agreeing. Afterall this combination of spells were taking their toll on his mind and body. Not only was his tongue tied, but he was also forced to vomit slugs while being tickled all over. Quite a predicament he had landed himself in.
He was starting to lose the complete range of his vision. Eyes getting blurry with all he was going through. Following came the urge to forfeit, he wondered if all this and seeing it to it's end was worth it going to infirmary once again. Did it even matter staying in this duel for any longer when it's outcome seemed so apparent. With a short breath Prat checked himself, shrugging off these unnecessary thoughts that were beginning to plague his mind. What mattered was the current moment and his decision during it.

❂《 ⌜ December 22, 2024 ▎ Sunday ⌟▛▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔There’s nothing she can probably do to help make Prat feel better this time because really, he doesn’t get this, he is suffering. She has half the mind now to end this duel because of how much the Slytherin boy looked like he’s about to fall unconscious with just a flick of a finger.
Koko’s spells were all disablers and ones that withered your stamina as the duel went on. She thought that straight out knocking your opponents out was the most painful way of getting knocked out but after seeing this? She had changed her mind. She had taken away Prat’s only form of defending which was casting spells, weakening him overtime due to the tickling and slug vomiting. Prat’s only way of dealing with this is by avoiding whatever she throws at him and at the same time, relying on that storm cloud above Koko’s head that’s been doing nothing for the duration of the duel.
Both effects of Rictusempra and Mimblewimble would be ending by now but it looks like Koko had no plans of letting him cast anything until he faints. The tickling stopped, tongue loosening, only for Prat to find his arms binded by a perfectly casted Fulgari. Perhaps duelling wasn’t that a good idea. She too had dreamed of facing off against a 7th year but after this? Perhaps she can set that aside for now until she is a bit older so as to not suffer the same fate as Prat. At least he can speak now, scream even if he wants to. She won’t judge him for that.

· · ─────── · 𖢨 · ─────── · ·As a seventh year, Koko had access to quite a few spells that other students simply couldn't touch yet. That wasn't to say she was particularly capable or particularly confident with any of them. However, given the state that Prat was in, her trying and failing at a spell would certainly work in his favour.
So here she was.
'Fulgari,' she said softly, and by Merlin's bloody knickers, it had to have been the best spell she'd ever cast. Her amber eyes widened, mouth opening in a surprised little O, and immediately after the cast, her hands hung limply at her side.
If Prat had thrown a spell at her, she wasn't sure she would have even attempted to dodge.
The thing was, she hadn't actually expected it to work. She'd never used the spell before, and she'd heard it was notoriously difficult to cast. So the fact that it hadn't backfired, hadn't just fizzled out... damn.
Despite her slight discomfort at Prat's situation, a self-satisfied smile crossed her face. Maybe she wasn't quite incapable of witchcraft after all!
On the bright side for Prat, at least he would likely be able to talk by now. To voice his frustration, perhaps, but that had to be worth something.
It was difficult to make eye contact with the younger boy when she said, almost sheepishly, 'I would apologise, except...' She trailed off with a tiny shrug. 'You know, duelling and stuff.' And if it weren't a fluke, maybe she would have apologised. But couldn't she at least have this, even if it came at Prat's expense?· · ─────── · 𖢨 · ─────── · ·

AEIOUSAFrom the very beginning of the duel, Prat had felt the relentless attack from Koko's spells. The Rictusempra had left him trembling with uncontrollable laughter, then came Mimblewimble leaving him tounge tied, after which came a torrent of slug vomit that. Not not only had he been robbed of his dignity but also his ability to cast anything substantial in defense.
The storm cloud still loomed ominously above Koko's head, another spectator in this misery of his. Each tickle had been a knife to his already reducing time in this duel, and now, as the Fulgari held his arms together, it was ironical how he finally knew that he was reaching the end of his own rope.
The once-thrilling idea of dueling a seventh year now felt like a foolish idea, not necessarily a regretful one, but only a stupid one. One that had left him vulnerable and weak.
His body was almost screaming for him to yield, yet his pride demanded him to stand firm. To not give in to the humiliation Koko had so expertly crafted for him, intentionally or unintentionally. With a deep, trembling breath, he steeled himself, searching within him, last we ounces of strength for a spark, that might just save him from the brink of defeat.
'I would apologise, except...' She trailed off with a tiny shrug. 'You know, duelling and stuff.'
"It's fine, i know what i was getting into", he replied, almost feeling dejected.

❂《 ⌜ December 22, 2024 ▎ Sunday ⌟▛▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔The duel was coming to an end, this is gonna be the last round and Prat will be free from all the sufferings that he’s going through this whole time. Raizel pulled out her wand this time, thinking that maybe she should do something later to ensure that Prat could reach the hospital wing for she can’t trust her own strength in taking him there or at least for him to be conscious for she doesn’t know how she’ll explain it to the nurse carrying someone who was knocked out.
‘It’s just because of Duelling Practice’. Yeah, it’s more than a duelling practice, it was a duelling slaughter with how one-sided it was and she had let it happen. Surely the nurse will understand and besides, this probably happens all the time for there are other people trying to do the same thing although they might not be just as crazy as Prat who was willing to duke it out against a 7th year. Lucky for him, his misery is finally over. Those binds, as strong as they might look, were no match with the Slytherin boy’s newfound strength. They snapped like a bunch of rubber bands.
That was impressive, Raizel will admit, the best thing that could happen to him but Koko was already steps ahead of him. One moment he was free, finally able to fight back and the next, he was on the ground, unconscious, hit by another powerful and perfectly casted spell from the 7th year. That was when instincts kicked in. Raizel rushed to see how he was, wand at the ready. “Episkey!” Raizel Wis [d20 : 19] + 10 = 29 | Success, Prat is healed enough to go to the hospital wing. She was expecting it to go bad. That was a spell that she was supposed to learn in her fourth year but she figured it would be beneficial to learn it now. Surprisingly enough, the universe was kind enough to let her succeed, enough to bring Prat back into the world of the conscious. “I think that’s enough.”

· · ─────── · 𖢨 · ─────── · ·Koko watched, intrigued, as Prat seemed to gain all the strength of every second year ever, easily escaping from the Fulgari. She raised her eyebrows, impressed, a small smile coming across her lips.
His strength would not be enough to save him.
Koko had intended to end it quickly, given how poorly it had been going for Prat. However, she had not expected for her Flipendo to be that good. She stared at Prat, dumbfounded, as he crumpled to the ground. 'Shit.'
She stood there awkwardly, not wanting to make anything worse. Almost immediately, her mind started coming up with excuses and rationalisations. People would believe her if she said this hadn't been her idea, after all; she was a responsible seventh year with an upstanding reputation, and these were just kids. And then it struck her: these were just kids. Oh, Merlin, what had she done?
Koko watched, wide-eyed, as Raizel cast an Episkey at Prat, and she decided that, given her recent luck with spells, she might as well attempt to rectify some of the damage. She refused to get closer for fear of startling either of them, instead waving her wand and muttering 'Episkey,' half-expecting it not to work. dc 12 + 2 + 2 (LC) = 16. [d20: 10] + 7 = 17; success. Healing: 50 + (2 * 15) = 80 HP. Once the spell did in fact occur, Koko was at least glad to have been able to fix some of her mess.
She nodded when Raizel suggested that she had done enough damage. 'Yeah, um. Definitely enough. Would you like help getting him to the hospital wing?'· · ─────── · 𖢨 · ─────── · ·
