Totally an Accident, Honest!
Fumiko took her usual seat in the middle of the class and tried her best to pretend she was too busy setting up her needed supplies as Noah walked in. Despite this, Noah was all that she thought about the moment class started, until the end.
How could someone be so utterly boring that even Fumiko, a chatterbox inside and out, found it hard to even converse in topics that people would usually drawl on and on about, like their opinions on certain things and such.
It was like he didn't even want her to know more about him and this baffled her to no end. Sheused to believe that the quietest ones secretly crave for someone to know the real them.
Didn't all the shy ones have some sort of ' other ' personality they reserve for the trusted? He should be lucky Fumiko even tried getting to know him.
Is conversing with her really the reason he didn't seem to like her?
No, it couldn't be. No one preferred loneliness and no one had ever hated Fumiko other than her parents. So, she had full confidence that this good girl act she played daily left only positive thoughts on Noah.
Despite his....bland responses.
An air on confidence around her, she quickly packed her things after class ended and glanced around the class to find Noah. Once she located him at the back of the classroom, she contained her urge to run towards him.
" Yo, Noah ~ " she refused to admit her smile was genuine. He was just shy . She was wrong before about him disliking her.

Totally an Accident, Honest!
Noah still couldn't understand why she wouldn't leave him alone. It had been about a month in Hogwarts so far and not a single person had been so persistent. People usually got bored of him and left him to deal with his business. He simply didn't get what she wanted from him.
Though somewhere very very deep inside, so deep that even he couldn't see it over his other thoughts, he kind of liked it. Noah hadn't made any true friends in Hogwarts, no one liked him as a person either. Everyone thought he was boring and tossed him off. This didn't bother Noah (or so he thought) because he had a different goal in mind. But when he saw people- no, friends walking together in corridors and having fun, it did feel weird to look at them and know that he would never have those.
But he had better things to think about.
Besides, he didn't particularly like her in the first place. She was just creepy, he wasn't experienced with people obviously so maybe he was just overthinking it? He did that a lot so maybe it could be that. But it's not like he had to talk to her just because she wanted to or anything right?
And that's when Noah realised he was just thinking about things that didn't matter and kept conflicting himself and none of it really made a difference. For now, he had to escape before she got to him.
But he had spent too much time in his mind, she was already walking up to him, he couldn't possibly escape unless he ran... that would be a last resort.
"Hello." He said, packing everything up and not looking up at her. Please go away, will you?

Her excited face toned down into more of a confused look. Like a child, she tilted her head a his deep focus on packing his things. " Wow, you'rebquick~ " she mused, slightly impressed.
She was confident she could do quicker, but she wouldn't say that.
Still completely convinced Noah's lack of response was only because he was still shy, she continued to babble about class. " How was class? It must be hard seeing what Professor wrote on the board if you sit back here all the time. Don't your eyes hurt?"
She briefly took her eyes off Noah for a second an pretended to be in his shoes when class was in session. He must have brilliant eye sight if he could comfortably see from here. Fumiko had to slighted squint her eyes to get a good look at the board.
With this, she was certain she's going to need glasses at least on her 3rd year if her eyesight didn't improve.
" You're welcome to sit next to me in the next class. The views good and the Professor doesn't pay too much attention to it. Besides, no one really sits next to me " she shrugged, casually lying.
She planned her seat to be empty way back. After finding out Noah usual seat place, she quietly spread rumours about the seat next to her, saying it was haunted and the one who sits there will never have a chance at finding true love.
After twist and added spice as the rumour passed off, it became the seat that'll take away your soulmate if you sat on it.
That was a good move, use these childish love fantasies and making her classmates fear their future without their perfect princess or prince charming.

Noah nodded, it's not like I'm trying to as quick as I can or anything.
Noah always knew he had pretty good eyesight, his parents had said so when he was a kid, he didn't know if it was abnormally good or just slightly above average but it was surely not average. "It was the same as usual, and I can see the board clearly enough."
He was still trying to be as direct and quick as he could so he could escape, surely not even she could converse with him for long if he kept that up.
He got up and put his backpack on to his shoulders. She said something about her having no one sitting next to her, to which Noah would have laughed if it wasn't true. No one had sad next to her during the lecture. But she was so talkative and social, she should have a lot of friends by now, right? Don't all Hufflepuffs have a lot of friends? Don't judge someone by their house, Noah. Yeah, but still, how could she not have a lot of friends? It just made him feel even more weird about her.
"No, I am content on the last bench, I prefer being alone on the last bench so I don't get distracted." He said, giving her a good excuse so she wouldn't drag the topic any further.
He started walking out of the class, he had to go to the library to study a bit. It wasn't that important today, he didn't have a lot to do but he just wanted to be away from the girl.

" Ahhh well, I'll have you know I'm quite a nice desk partner " she subtly bragged, not aware of how he was already on his way out of class. " Despite how talkative I a- eh? " feeling some of her ego hurt from seeing Noah walk out of the classroom, he instinc;y almost ran to catch up with him.
Truly, he didn't do that on purpose right? It was just Fumiko's voice that was a bit too soft today. Right? He just didn't hear her so she should just say it again.
A bit out of breath when she finally caught up with Noah, she took a few seconds to steady her breathing before opening her mouth again : " Anyway~ " she clapped her hands once, as if she was trying to remember what she said. " I'm quite a nice desk partner . Hard to believe but really I am. It's easy to zip my mouth when in class. You won't even know I'm there and you get to see the board better. Now, doesn't that sound fun~ " she grinned.
Being quiet in class was merely just a cover up. In class, she allowed herself to rest and quietly imagine her previous desk partners death. It soon became her favourite pass time.

Noah heard her talking about being a good bench mate, honestly didn't he just say he liked it fine without her? Some people were just deaf, he presumed. Maybe he would pretend that he didn't hear her either if she asked him why he wasn't staying to listen.
But no, she started following him, of course she did. She wasn't going to leave him so easily, was she? She kept talking about what a good little bench mate she was, then why don't you have more bench mates hm?
Noah shook his head, "I really don't want to sit with anyone. Thanks for the offer." He said, could there be a chance she could still keep pressing the subject further? No, he didn't think so, but then he had been wrong about everything he thought about her, she wasn't even human, probably.
He had to find a way to shut her up, maybe he just tell her to shut up or something, if she didn't stop after what he just said, and if she didn't get the hints he had given her so far, it was obviously his only choice left, he didn't have the patience left to deal with her anymore, he was just wanted to be alone again.

She wasn't going to lie and say she wasn't disappointed at his rejection to her offer. Although, a rejectio,n in her opinion was always a better response than just silence. Perhaps she was still a bit salty he ignored her before.
But hey, she's the type to forgive and forget unless it came to her parents.
" Ah, what a pity " she didn't bother hiding her disappointment. " Oh well~ " she said, her tone turning slightly more cheerful.
She would've enjoyed him as a desk mate. At least she knows he would focus on the class instead of trying to talk to her.
" That class was pretty confusing " she lied, letting out soft sigh " I don't think it was the Professor, the topic just a bit hard for me I guess.." she pretended to look disappointed.
She didn't pay attention in class since she was too busy contemplating if Noah truly disliked her or not, but she knew whatever the Professor taught, she already studied beforehand.
" I'm sure you understood more than me. If you're not busy, wanna go to the library? It would be nice to fix any misunderstandings I have with the lesson today " she suggested, a sweet smile on her face.
This was the plan, act lost and meek so she'll get to spend more time with Noah. Of course, to show everyone how kind she is, even too students with a slightly bad reputation. She.. is doing this for that right?

Noah couldn't help but feel a tinge of pity at her voice when she replied to him. But he didn't have time for that, this very well might have been that chance he wanted to escape from her all along and he was going to take it without hesitation.
They kept walking and Noah decided it was over. But when was life so fair to anyone? No, she had to keep talking. Come to think of it, why else was she still walking with him? And the topic hadn't been that difficult, he had understood most of it without paying attention all the time. Oh, but she probably was rather dumb, that explained things a bit, "It was good enough for me, I understood most of it."
His face lost some of it's colour (though it was rather hard to notice because of how pale he naturally was), the library? Of all the places she wanted to go, it had to be the one place he was headed to? And since when was Noah a teacher... though he would love to be one... not to her though, right? Yes, he didn't want to teach her.
But what was he going to do? He couldn't possibly escape this one, right? He had to think of something and fast... he was busy in his thoughts and forgot to actually say something to Fumiko.

" Eh, Noah? " she tried to call out when she realised he didn't give a response but he looked way too deep in his thoughts to hear her. For a split second, her mask slipped and she gave him a slightly annoyed, confused look. "あほ ..." she muttered under her breath.
Was he really hesitating on her offer? The bench partner thing, it's fine she understands. But a short study session? He looked the type to study a lot so why was he overthinking this. Did he prefer to study alone? Is that what he's going to say ? The excuse he's going to use?
Ah...she's getting slightly agitated, maybe overthinking about it too. The dude had done nothing but go against everything she planned out to happen in her head since their tiny collision. She just felt powerless in this situation, like she couldn't predict his moves and it was giving her mixed feelings.
" Hey, you alright there Page? " she asked as gentle as she could, careful she wouldn't scare him. She even added a few quick taps on his shoulder.
Was she really genuine about this? She didn't know at this point. She just wanted him to teach her stuff she knew already. Right?
あほ : Aho ( idiot )

Should he just tell her the truth? That he really didn't like her at all? Or should he ask her what she really wants from him? Or should he just deny going to the library with her? But he couldn't come up with a good enough excuse. Christ, she was confusing him too mu-
Noah had been dragged back into the real world, he had ironically forgotten about the girl walking next to him while thinking about her. "Huh?" He said, dazed for a bit. A few seconds later when he was back to his senses, he replied to her "Yeah, I'm alright."
He was getting distracted. He had to figure something out quickly. He spent the next few seconds trying as hard as he could to think of some way to escape but he couldn't, he had no other choice, he had to be straight to her about it without being too rude. But how was he going to add it into a normal conversation anyway?
"If you don't mind me asking, what do you want from me anyway?" He said, wondering whether he should have added more. But maybe that did emphasize his point right? Besides, it also didn't sound as rude because it sounded more like he was just asking her if she needed something from him and that's why she was following him around, not like he was having an outburst, he wasn't that angry after his daydream.
