Questioning Summer PV Closed

"Yes! He does sing "Three Little Birds"! It's one of my favorite songs." She smiled fondly at the memory of her and her grandmother singing the song. She loved older music, and Millie loved all kinds of music. The same way she liked to play the ukulele, or violin. Or, even such, dance.

Her smile dropped, however, when Lallie mentioned Summer camp. Her parents were visiting North America for the Summer, and Millie had to either, go home with the first train, or not go. Even then, her parents said they weren't sure if she would get back to England in time for the Hogwarts Express. So, she just said she was fine with staying, and toughened her attitude.

In reality, she was most upset. She wanted to see her parents and hang out with her friends over at her house, or go visit America and see her extended family. But honestly, she just wanted to go home. Instead, she was stuck at Hogwarts for the next year. Hell, maybe she won't go home for until she was seventeen.

"I'll uh, be here for the entire Summer. What about you?" She inquired, petting Honey. She looked over to the lake, wondering how Honey would feel about going swimming in it. Not that she would, she was brave- not a monster.

Lallie smiled at how happy Millie seemed when she mentioned "Three Little Birds". Lallie wasn't really that fond of the song herself, she only had heard it in the soundtrack and background of certain movies and tv shows. She did understand Millie's attachment to the song though. She was very familiar with that kind of connection to music, she is a complete music and theater nerd, and knew how certain songs make you happy or kindle fond memories.

"Oh really, that's cool. It's nice to see how fond you are of music. I'm a huge fan of music too." Lallie said smiling. Lallie has always liked most kinds of music but she's always preferred musical theatre and pop-rock. Her favorite band would probably be Coldplay, the only Muggle band she actually knew the name of. She heard one of their songs playing in a movie she was watching and she was instantly hooked.

"Well, I'll be taking the train back home in August. My family is going to go to visit our mother in London since she's currently working there. It's been years since we've been to London so I'm really excited." Lallie said enthusiastically. It was a bit curious that they were taking this trip since they hadn't thought of going since Lallie was like eight.

Lallie looked down at Honey who was currently enjoying Millie petting her. "So how long have you had Honey? It seems like you two have had a strong connection for a while." Lallie asked looking back up at Millie.

Millie remembered the day she got Honey. It felt like love at first sight, when the cat jumped from her cage, and circled her ankles, mewing quietly. She had instantly fallen in love with her, and without looking at the other cats, adopted her baby. And that was how Millie met her best friend.

"Got her in the beginning of first year," She shrugged and picked up Honey. The cat meowed and crawled up Millie's shoulders, before curling around her neck cutely. This would've been even more adorable if Honey wasn't the size of a small tiger, and wasn't crushing Millie's neck.

She laughed anyway. It was always good to laugh, because laughter seemed to make the anger and fear go away. Even if for just  a minute or two. It was how happiness worked, right? A feeling stronger than hate, but smaller in dosage.

Of course Millie always felt that happiness around Lallie, even if it was just for a moment. She couldn't help but feel a tad bit bad. If she messed up just a little bit, she could make Lallie uncomfortable. Or worst, she could lose her as a friend. Millie just had to calm down, it wasn't the end of the world. Not yet, anyway.
