Although summer, today was overcast with the possibility of a little rain this late afternoon. She was finished with her classes for the day and went back to her common room to change into her muggle clothes for the rest of the day. Although she has no issue with her school robes there was just something about wearing regular clothes when she was taking pictures and she had been waiting to go to this courtyard since she got here. The architecture was amazing, and she wanted to get some photos of it. This whole castle was just too impressive compared to what even she was used too at her grandmother’s Château.
As she walked in, she would set her camera bag down on the edge of the little fountain in the middle and pull her camera out of the bag attaching a lens to it. As she stood up straight, she would sweep her long black hair back over her shoulder and look around. Pulling the camera up to her face she would adjust the lens and then *click* *click* *click* moving around and looking at other objects getting close ups of some of the statues and pulling out wide for the tree. She seemed to be in her element as she flowed around the courtyard discovering it’s character with each *click*.

Amelia was everything but exhausted when she left her final class of the day. Although she hadn't slept well in the previous week, she still found herself bubbling over with more than enough energy to last her for the rest of the day. She, thankfully, didn't have any homework to go over, so with nothing else to do, she decided that a personal tour of the school was in order, after all, no one was expecting her for the rest of the day and she didn't have any responsibilities to attend to, so why not have a little fun?
After going to her dorms and changing into something more comfortable - a t-shirt and jeans - she quietly began making her way through the castle. Soon enough, her thoughts drifted to the weather brewing outside, and she found her gaze wandering through the courtyard. She caught glimpse of a girl taking pictures of the area and she couldn't help but be intrigued, so she wandered over and stood in one of the archways.
She opened her mouth to say something, but stopped when she found herself face to face with the lens. She smiled sheepishly at being caught watching the girl, and hurried to explain herself, but found a lack of words as she met the girl's gaze.

San continued to focus and refocus her lens as she seemed like she wanted to take a photo of every square inch of the place. Though it was not long before a face popped up into focus and with a *click* she captured the girl opened mouthed on film. She would lower her camera down leveling her piercing sapphire eyes onto the girl’s face. She analyzed as much of her as she could within that moment from the girl’s sheepish smile, her tousled brown hair, down to comfortable cloths. She noted the girl seemed like she wanted to start a conversation, but words were failing her.
“Hello.” Her voice was soft like a feather drifting on a breeze but at the same time it held an undertone of authority that matched the look in her eyes. It was not hostile, but intense. She would say nothing more as she watched the girl whom she caught watching her. Her slender porcelain fingers would wrap around the camera lens removing it before taking a step back towards her camera bag placing it inside and grabbing a different lens. Attaching the new lens to the camera while she walked over to the tree now observing the opposite side of the courtyard appreciating the architecture before brushing her hair over her shoulder and lifting the camera back up to her face and with a *click* she would snap another photo.

Amelia was curious, to say the least, as she watched the girl wander the courtyard,"Hi,"She chimed in response before she quietly stepped out of the shadows of the corridor. Normally, she would've spoken up sooner, but she knew better than to interrupt someone in their element. Though, she had to admit, the other girl intimidated her at first glance, but she chose to ignore it as she made her way towards her general direction,"Will your photos be enchanted? Or like muggle photos?" She pondered aloud, trying to keep her mouth from running too much.
Because, if she truly spoke up, she knew she would be spouting off her name, her house, and probably a million other bits of information the other girl wouldn't need to know. Although, she did figure names were quite important but she was more focused on what the girl was doing than formalities. Photography had been something she had always been interested in, there were certain moments you wanted to cherish forever after all, but she found she didn't have a stable hand nor the patience to even attempt finding something to take photos of, but watching the other girl reminded her of what it felt like to be truly absorbed in the moment.
It had been a while since she had done something like that. She shrugged the thought off and smiled warmly as she turned her gaze up to the tree. She wanted to know if it inspired her, or if it was just pretty to look at, or maybe if it was tied to a memory of some sort, but she didn't want to ask too many questions in fear of scaring the other girl off, so she opted to stand on the small stone wall built up around the garden, patiently awaiting her answer.

She knew she was being watched by this odd girl, but she wasn’t going to let that stop her from doing what she came here to do. When the girl asked her a question, she would glance at her before focusing her attention back to her camera. *click* “I don’t know how to make Developing solution yet, which is the potion that makes them move, so I can either develop them the muggle way, after finding a professor to allow me to use a space as a dark room, or I can develop them our way if a professor is willing to give me developing solution and again a space for a temporary dark room. If none of those things happen then I will owl my film back home and my parents will do it when they have time.” That was already many more words than she had intended on speaking to the girl.
Her eyes caught a small, vibrant blue butterfly flying through the courtyard before eventually landing on one of the leaves from tree behind her. Slowly in one graceful motion she would turn around to face the tree moving her camera again up to her face and adjust the lens before taking a few rapid-fire photos *click ckick ckick* “Either way they will eventually get developed.” She turned to look at the girl once more. “So, are you going to tell me the name of the girl who just stands there and stares at me?” She stopped herself from finishing that sentence the way she wanted to. It wouldn’t due to be rude and although her grandmother would have approved her mother surely would not have.

Amelia couldn't help but flinch at the harshness of her tone. She knew not to take it to heart, but it struck a chord with her anyway. She looked away and nervously fiddled with the wane in her pocket, "I um.. Sorry, m-my name's Amelia, Amelia Boux." She cast a nervous smile to the other girl, "I'm sorry if I'm bothering you I.. I was just wandering the castle grounds and I saw you and, I truly admire what you do so.." she started rambling and looked away once more,"I've always loved photography I just... I'm not really talented enough for it, or patient at that matter. Again, I um... I'm sorry, I could leave if you want..?"
She truly hoped the girl wouldn't kick her from the courtyard that quickly. She wanted time to explore the area, but she didn't want to bother the girl anymore than she already had. She was so insanely bored at this point though that she wouldn't know what to do if she did decide she didn't want the girl's company. She had already thoroughly combed the library, and though she could go explore the castle itself for a bit, she wasn't entirely sure where was off limits to her.

Sorry for the late reply and the short one. Work has been pretty busy.
Santario watched her as she apologized and stumbled a little over her words. “A pleasure, I’m sure, to meet you Amelia. My name is Santario Martin.” She would then move back to her camera bag and carefully detach the lens from her camera and put them both back into her bag. She was not leaving but she was done taking photos for now having all the photos she thought she wanted for now. It was a gloomy day and she wanted to come back here when the sun was shining to really highlight the architecture. “Thank you for the admiration for the art and you do not have to leave. Photography realistically just takes patience and the want to capture what you find beautiful. It is more about opportunity and luck than anything else.”
Santario had spent a good long deal exploring the castle and making sure that she knew as much about it as possible. She refused to find herself helpless and lost or late to a class. She would sit at the edge of the little fountain next to her bag and brush her hair back over her shoulder. “Besides this is an open area I would have no right to ask you to leave here than you would me.”

Amelia blinked in gentle surprise before she nodded, smiling softly as she sat down in front of the fountain. She gently rested her arms on the edge of the fountain, her eyes studying the water with a gentle gaze as she focused in and out. She was having problems speaking properly today, it seemed. She sighed and smiled kindly as she looked at the girl,"I'm impressed that you have such good luck,"She chimed as she recounted her own ventures.
She had been much younger than she was now, maybe seven or eight, when she had her photography kick. She had tried for days to get a perfect picture of a deer that had followed her home one day, but try as she might, she couldn't get a photo that wasn't blurry. She couldn't help it though, the deer was far more intrigued with following the girl around than it was with sitting still for a few minutes.
She reiterated the story to the girl before she smiled to herself, dipping her hand in the fountain,"I mean, I gave up by the end, obviously. It took too much of my patience. However, I did end up getting a few cute pictures of the cats that had snuck up to my rooms." She lifted her gaze and grinned softly,"If you ever want to see them, let me know. I love my strays a lot."

Santario would sit down next to her camera bag while looking at the girl offering a half shrug. “Some things just come naturally to some people. I find potion ingredients a lot too just lying around or in places other people wouldn’t normally find them.” The girl spoke about her strays and she could seem to relate to that a little she herself had a feline companion back home that she cared deeply about. “Sure I would not mind seeing your photos of them.” This was where San stalled, she was not good at conversations with no purpose. Small talk was the bane of her existence unless it served a greater purpose.
This was a conversation of small talk for the sake of small talk and that was just not a skill she possessed. It was easy enough for her to answer questions or comment on things other people said but leading this conversation was not something she was equipped to do. “So since you aren’t great at photography what are you great at?” It dawned on her that Amelia had only focused on what she was not good at so San probed to find out what she was good at. If there was something she enjoyed doing it was getting information on people as you never knew when it would come in handy.
