Fly Skye High Pet

Silva was excited. She was getting a pet today! She'd thought for a long time about what she wanted to get. She hadn't been sure whether she'd want to get a Morepork Owl or an Eastern Screech Owl. Her parents hadn't wanted her to get any owl originally, but once they realized how annoying it was going to be to send her owls with the school ones they'd told her she could get it if she saved up.

By now she was pretty sure she wanted an Eastern Screech Owl. They seemed so cute. Then again, they weren't very practical. They were quite small. Even now after over a month of debating she was still wondering whether she'd made the right choice.

Well, it was time to get it now. If she couldn't find any Screech Owls she liked maybe she'd see if there were any Moreporks.

She stepped into the shop and looked around, amazed. There was a ton of animals in here. How could you ever pick! The shopkeepers were an older couple of very different heights. They both smiled at her as she came in and offered to help her find a pet. She accepted their help and asked for the owl type she wanted. As she looked at those owls she felt.... dissatisfied. They were really cute and nice, but none of them felt right.

The shopkeepers finally showed her one last Screech Owl. She was on the older side. 3 years old. The shopkeepers told her that her name was Skye. She was perfect. Beautiful. Adorable. Calm. Loveable. She pointed at Skye. That one. The shopkeepers smiled and got her ready quickly.

While she was waiting she looked around the rest of the shop. The amount of animals in a quaint little shop such as this was incredible.

Then she saw it. An adorable dog with two tails. She had no idea what it was called, but it was so cute. So very cute. Focus. She shook her head. She was here to get an owl. She was already pushing her parents limits with that. No point in wishing for more. Besides, Skye was the one for her, not this dog. Speaking of which, was Skye ready?

She turned around and saw that her new owl was nice and comfortable in her cage. SO ADORABLE. She quickly paid and left the shop. Once out of the shop she grinned at her new owl "Hello Skye"
