Shouldn't Shop Alone Pet

Esme sighed as she walked through Diagon Alley. It had not been long since she was last in the UK and honestly she would have preferred for it to have been a lot longer. Her brother had wanted something specific for the upcoming holidays though and she had not been able to find what he wanted. That is how she managed to find herself wandering through Diagon Alley on the other side of the world in an attempt to find the specific items her brother was looking for on Christmas Eve.

At this point she had already been wandering for most of the day and was finally about ready to make the long trip back to Chile. She really did need to head back as it was a rather long trip, but the sight of the Magical Menagerie caught her attention. It reminded her of the days when she was searching for a pet with her family in her youth. She knew she should not have gone in, it was going to be a bad idea, but the next thing she knew she was walking through the doors of the store and experiencing the sights, sounds, and smells of the pet shop.

It had been years since Esme had owned a pet, her last one being a little parakeet she owned in her early twenties. The little bird had since passed but the woman was now realizing how quiet and lonely her home actually was. She really didn't need a pet and the Chilean woman was not planning to get anything while here, only look, but a movement in the corner of her eyes caught her attention.

Sitting there was a pen of puppies, looking quite similar to Crups but a bit different at the same time. What had attracted her to the pen was one little puppy that seemed to be attempting to climb out of the little enclosure, even with no one around at that moment. It was a scraggly little fella, but Esme found him to be absolutely adorable.

"Don't do it, don't do it ," she muttered to herself as she turned away from the enclosure and made her way back through the aisles of the store. Her resolve broke rather quickly though as she heard the cutest little bark from behind her, forcing her to close her eyes and take a deep breath. "Oh I should not be doing this" the woman muttered to herself as she went to find an employee so she could bring her new little buddy back to Chile with her. Her family was definitely going to have a lot of questions but she hoped the students would at least enjoy the little guy.

Esmeralda starred at the little pup held tightly in her arms with a huff as he attempted to lick her face. "What am I going to name you?" She muttered with a slight huff as she continued to look down at the little pup. She didn't have any idea, but she had the long trip home to make that decision. At least her niece and nephew would love the new addition to their family.
