Fulfilling Dreams
Avery approached Magical Menagerie slowly. She was afraid. She was also excited. Today was finally the day that she would fulfill a dream that she had since she was little. Getting a pet of her very own. She wasn't sure at first what she was going to get, but she hoped they had cats. She loved cats, and would give anything to finally have a cat of her own. Today she had finally saved up enough money to buy the pet of her dreams.
Her dad told her that she needed to get the money herself if she wanted her own pet. So for the past month she has worked as hard as she could to get enough money. She had her eye on a pet, but didn't know if she had enough yet, so she decided to take the chance and go for it. Hoping she would find the right pet that suited her personality.
Avery was looking for a pet that was lovable and enjoyed playing. She grew up with her parents' cat that didn't want to play a lot, so she wanted a more energetic pet to be able to play with. She also wanted a pet that would snuggle up to her whenever something happened. Good or bad. She felt that bonding over experience was better than bonding through force. She wanted their relationship to be easy and fun. Not forced in any way.
Finally Avery mustered up the courage to walk through the doors of Magical Menagerie and finally find out if she could get the pet of her dreams. She saw a kind couple standing at the counter smiling at her. Immediately she felt less nervous and ready to finally find her dream pet. She walked up to the counter and said, "Hello, I'm Avery Gray. I'm looking for a pet."
The man smiled and said, "Hello, Avery. Welcome to Magical Menagerie. What kind of pet are you looking for?"
Avery thought hard for a moment. She was thinking about getting a cat or rabbit, but wasn't entirely sure yet. So she said, "I'm thinking about getting a cat, but I want one that is energetic and loves attention. My parents' cat at home is the exact opposite, so that's why I want my cat like this."
The old man smiled again and nodded in understanding. He probably knew the perfect animal for her since he had been doing this for so many years. Avery was excited for what pet she would finally get!
