I'd prefer roses
Theodora Parlow
Bored. That was how Theodora felt in this class. Herbology, it was simply unnecessary for her, if she ever grew plants it would be more mundane ones, not ones that could kill or maim you by the sound it makes or the unnecessary teeth amongst it's leaves, thorns of roses were enough. Roses that's what she'd prefer over mandrakes, deep red ones, or even white ones.
Her thoughts turned back to the garden at home, she wondered how her and her mother's flowers were doing. The times in the gardens were about the only bonding they truly had, it was one of very few fond memories of home. Eventually she leaned over to the girl next to her, a fellow Slytherin. She was a girl of pale complexion like Theodora, though she had black hair to Theodora's blonde. "This class is so boring," she whispered, "Why do we need it? It really should be an elective." She had hope her neighbor was a kindred spirit that she could complain too, but it was a bit late to reconsider her actions. She propped her head up on her hands as she tried to keep up with what the professor was saying.

Another day had begun and Nabi found herself making her way to the Herbology Classroom. Birds chirped and the sun had risen. The air of the fresh dew engulfed her sense of smell, and not long after the chatter of students inside the classroom filled her ears. Why must they be so loud...they are more pestering than pesticides themselves.
Nabi said nothing as she went to her seat, no hellos or smiles to anyone. They were not her friends and there was no reason to act like any of those rowdy children were. She sat beside a girl she did not pay any mind to before waiting for the class to begin.
Of course, she could never seem to have a calm day.
The girl beside her suddenly spoke and Nabi did not find her amusing. With a curt hum, she ignored the girl, it would be a waste of her own time and energy to deal with people so...ignorant. She was only enrolled in Hogwarts to learn nothing more nothing less. Suddenly it seems as though plants are no longer needed to make potions, my mother would have a field day with me if I ever said something remotely close to what you just said, Miss.
