To Hogwarts
Nikki was boarding onto the train carrying her luggage. She heaved it along, immediately being self conscious about her display of weakness. She wondered if there was some magical solution to her predicament. No, that'd be stupid. If there was, everyone would be using magic. She thought. She looked around at her fellow First Years, and wondered what lay ahead.
She dragged her luggage more and more, and she swore she thought some snickering. Her face red, she used all her strength to move it a couple inches. She wanted some help, but she was a bit too nervous to ask. She stared around at the other First Years beginning to settle in their compartments with friends. I need to hurry! What if the train starts moving before I'm ready?
She continued to heave her bags to the back of the Express, and hopped into an empty compartment. She shut the door and collapsed on the comfy seat. "Alone at last..." She says out loud to herself. She decided she'd begin reading her novel. She pulled it out and began humming to herself, letting her body take up the entire seat. Suddenly the door to the compartment slid open. In shock, she fell out of the seat. Oh God!

To Hogwarts

Teiki watched as her father indicated to how to get to the Hogwarts Express. This was so exciting! She found herself shivering in anticipation as she edged her way towards Platform 9 3/4. After she and her father had made it through, she exploded.
"That was a magic passage! How many have I missed? That's so cool! Hidden doors in plain sight!" She exclaimed excitedly. She also thought about all the classes she would take and all the friends she (might) make and all the creatures she might be able to see. It was an overload of new ideas and possible realities.
Her father sighed before saying, "Teiki, I'll miss you. It's time for you to board the train, though."
She quickly said her goodbyes and entered the train. People were everywhere, scattering around, talking, finding seats. How many will be in the same house as me? She pondered this for a moment, before finding any open compartment. She opened one of the doors to find a large mass. Shaking her head, she looked at all the carriages before finding one that only had a girl that now lay on the floor.
"Oh my gosh! I'm sorry, did I startle you? I was just wondering if I could join you. I didn't mean to interrupt or anything.." She rambled on, before hesitating at the door of the compartment, unsure if she could join the girl.

After waiting a few minutes... Then some more... she finally gave up. Looking back at the girl, she smiled.
"Okay, well, I'll leave you in peace. If you want company, I'll probably be in a different compartment. Somewhere close by probably, not too far at all. So, yeah... Well, goodbye, I hope I see you soon!" She smiled again, and left, closing the compartment door again, so she could keep her privacy if she'd like.
She walked on, remembering to squeeze to the side when students came barging through and the trolley full of (mostly) candy filed by, asking if anyone would like anything. She looked at all the delicious treats, but barely refrained herself from getting anything. She looked around, seeing some moderately full to extremely full compartments, until she continued on. I wonder how many passages are like the passage to Platform 9 3/4.. Will it be as exciting as Lilac said it would be? How many friends will I have? I hope it doesn't turn out to be none... She looked around, until finally, she found a compartment that only had one person (so far) within the compartment.
"Hello, can I join you?" She asked the new girl.
