Hey guys, so we (Prat and I) are allowing you guys an extra week to post your entrances into the Whispers event as well as send in who you think the murderer is AND send in your victim (if you are a murderer.) Please send in all of these by next Friday. Rolls and moderation will be done that Saturday.

This note is meant to try and explain why you're voting at the start in addition to add our recently determined change to how we're going to treat suspect votes.
Why are you all voting, especially at the start? You're voting for the person you find the most suspicious, be it the way they act or speak. Generally speaking from an out of character standpoint, each mod post has three stages in one mod post. More on that in a later part of this post. The voting stage is the final stage.

The majority vote (half or more people in the group voting for one singular person) will result in that voted person to be eliminated/executed. They are thought to be the murderer by half their group and therefore are removed from the game.

Hey! What if there is a tie? Both suspects will remain in the game because there is not a clear top suspect that round.

What if I voted, for my suspect, someone who didn't post this round? The vote against them still counts. BUT, if you're voting for someone who hasn't posted their entrance, then we will not count that vote.

What if there's two people left? It's pretty obvious who the murderer is, and the Murderer will end up killing the last person left so there will not be a voting stage on the final mod post.

--> This is saying that there are more than half of the voting group (4/7) that picked Baker as their suspect. Therefore, because more than half the voting group picked them, the baker is eliminated.

--> Mechanics have 3/7 votes of the voting group, but this is not the majority. This is less than half. (42.8% to be exact) This means the mechanic is still in the game.

Explanation Post
This is intended on explaining why the mod post consists of THREE sections.
The first section starts off with a blackout so that the murderer is able to kill their victim and hide the weapon. Then there is the lights on stage, which is only brief, so that the doctor can see who the victim was and see if they can save them. The second blackout is so that the doctor can try to heal the victim in secrecy. Lastly, there is another lights on stage. The final part of the mod post is the suspect elimination/voting stage. Following the above patch note, a suspect is only eliminated if the majority of the vote was half the group or more towards them.

And that's all.

Otherwise, I'd need to post quite a bit of mod posts quite frequently, likely much more than 20 per group. Combining all three parts into one mod post a round saves us the effort and overwhelm.

Whispers of the Dark Reminder

Howdy, mod posts are coming Saturday, which means that posts, targets and suspects are all due in tomorrow by Midnight UTC-12.

For future reference, if a person has posted in the thread (even if only once), you can kill or vote them as a suspect, but if they haven't posted at all, they are not a valid suspect or victim and therefore another person needs to be selected that has posted.

Whispers of the Dark Reminder

Hi friends! Today is Friday, meaning deadline to submit your suspects and targets/victims via owl and to post in your threads is TODAY.

Tomorrow morning at 9:00am EST, I will begin mod rolls and write the mod posts.

But why am I telling you this now? Well, on December 28th, we are effectively ending Whispers of the Dark with a final mod post, and those who kept the murderer in the game will find out who the murderer is. Maybe it'll be a shock. Maybe not.
