I personally chose part-Veela because I liked all of the interesting things that you can do with the spells and the fact that we can use smth like imperio in the fifth year. I'm totally not psyched. I already have most of my abilities picked out as well. It honestly depends on what you as the player want, and how you can tailor it to your character.

I like the story elements more to it honestly. Yes, The abilities are a drawback, but still, I like the more opportunities for character development and story arc

I normally go full human but opted to be different for once. So I picked goblin mostly for the RP challenge, trying to see how she would find out or feel about it etc. 

The abilities are there to give every player a piece of the 'special' pie. Stories and having good times are always the main goal.

Not yet. I have 3ish more weeks filled with absolutely nothing. I have to go to new student orientation though because I'm in leadership so I have something to do right before school starts.
