It had been a particularly dark night. There was no moon in the sky. And Winter had only just ended. The young Prefect was just walking around the Grounds of Hogwarts. He had just finished a training session with the Ravenclaw’s Quidditch team and he was only cooling his body down. The boy would never have thought that he would catch two students running around trying to do a heinous crime. Well, to his eyes at least. They were trying to catch a cat. Whether the cat belonged to any of the two or it belonged to someone else, he did not know. But one thing for sure, the cat was not happy. "Meow," said the cat. The boy did not speak cat, but it sounded a lot like a cry for help. And Arc Perscivious had a soft spot with cats, as they were the only animal that was never afraid of him.
The charade seemed to have gone on for quite some time and the two boys were starting to lose patience. They started yelling and cursing and they finally pulled out their wand. Wait, what?! Arc immediately turned his brisk jog into a full-blown run, but it was already too late. The two kids had already started slinging spell upon spell towards the cat as they tried to stop it from running away. The cat was nimble enough to keep avoiding them. Or maybe they were just bad at spellcasting. But eventually, the cat ran out of place to go and it climbed up a tree.
“Hey, stop whatever you are…” Arc tried speaking. Unfortunately, one of the boys was already in motion and out of all the spells he could choose, he chose to use the fire-making spell. The spell missed the cat terribly and hit the tree instead. The tree instantly caught ablaze and the night was suddenly bright. The cat managed to climb further up where the flame couldn’t lick him, but it was only a matter of time before it ran out of space. While the young eagle was distracted, the two troublemakers slipped away as they were afraid of both his scary presence and badge. They really couldn't handle another detention.
Arc couldn't care less about them now, though. The cat and the flame fully occupied his attention. The shadow danced along with the fire as if taunting him and the boy had to act fast. And he would need some help. Well, probably a lot of help.

A stroll around Hogwarts in cat form was always fun. Free massages, chin scratches, and often times little treats. At night it was fun in a different way. Sebas could see who was sneaking out, what prefects were doing, and what the castle life was like when everyone was supposed to be getting to sleep. It made for great mischief opportunities. A rare occurrence though was somebody or something trying to eat the cat or harm it in some way. Sebastián found himself in such a situation this night, of course.
The grounds were dark, but he was lounging on some steps under a warm torch. Every so often a speck of flaming ash would land on his fur and feel like a hot stone therapy. Life as a cat was good. Two rascals came walking by, basically sneaking, and noticed the cat lounging with a content smile of sorts. They thought Sebas would not notice them or their giggling. Cats had good hearing. When he heard their plans to take action against him, he casually rolled over just in time to avoid an amateur fire spell. Flames licked the stone stairs and seared them in one spot near where the Spanish
had been sitting.
Many paths opened up before Sebas as he looked up towards the culprits. He could simply transform back into human form and scold them. That was boring. He could punish them by turning them into something ironic, like mice. Too overplayed. Perhaps he could lure them into a fun trap? Too complicated. Perhaps it would be most fun to see how far they'd take their prank on an innocent cat, then get revenge later. He recognized the students by house and year enough to find them later. Sneak into their dorms... pee on their pillows. Maybe tear up some robes. Whatever inspired his little cat whims at the time. That seemed best.
"Meow!" Sebas let out dramatically as he pretended to be afraid. "Meow meow!"
He hoped someone else might hear him and maybe he could watch a fight as someone defended the poor cat. At this point he was just looking for some entertainment. Dodging these spells were easy. A small cat with actual skill versus children who may as well have been drunk muggles with a party popper instead of a wand. Sebas let a few close calls come by to encourage them before he fled into a tree to look down upon his vanquished foes. They wouldn't dare keep this up after such a ruckus!
"Incendio!" He heard, surprised at the stupidity of the move.
"Meow?" He said almost questioningly as the tree erupted in flames below him.
Sebas climbed a bit higher and watched as the kids ran away from their scene. A prefect was approaching now. It was fine though. The cat knew just where to find them and their things later. He'd been looking for a place to sharpen his claws lately. The fire was not too concerning. He could probably just jump out of the tree. Or transform and douse the flames. But now there was a prefect here to rescue him. That seemed more fun than solving it himself.
"Meow!" He cried with a dramatic flair to the kid below.

It was not a beautiful night, also an absolutely bad day for astronomy class. But then what? It didn't have anything to do with Luna. Astronomy might be her most favorite class, but it did not mean she would always think about it when she was bored and even when she was not. Especially when she didn't have any class with him today. Who was he? Obvious the professor of Astronomy.
Luna was not the girl who loved sitting on a tree to watch the sky anymore. That might be fun for the princess Luna or we should say, the past Luna, but not this one. She only went to check if the Quidditch players were injured or not, because of her lovely prefect job. She also realized that she would look like a spy if she stayed there for too long, so the Slytherin Prefect just stood there for a few minutes and left immediately.
After leaving the Quidditch Training Pitch, the lavender-haired girl decided to walk around the grounds. She was actually lazy and did not want to bring troubles to herself. However, with the fact that she was a prefect, not bringing herself into troubles was basically impossible. She had already accepted her fate.
However, it was time to go back to her dorm. She had no interested in having detention for herself. Having detention was bad, and a prefect who had detention would be super bad.
While Luna was walking through the grounds, she suddenly saw something lighted up, from a place which was not too far away from where she was standing. In addition, the snake was sure she saw some smocked from up there.
"By any chance, was there at least an idiot who cast the Fire-Making Spell?" She mumbled, decided to walk to the suspicious light. Lumos couldn't be this bright. Sometimes, she just could not understand these people. Did the professor not explaining to them how to use it? She was pretty sure they did, even if they did not, that student was pretty much an idiot since they couldn't guess it.
Luna started to think of the rules that they break? She wondered if they cast the dangerous spell on another person or on a tree? Probably a tree. She had never seen another person burned, but she doubted that the fire would be this big. If it was on a tree, that also meant damage to school property.
Right when she was still thinking about it, someone suddenly bumped into her. Luna, she knew her strength. She knew how horrible she was at it, which was also why she usually tried to avoid to be in a fight with someone. Although everyone thought that she was picking a fight because she acted like herself. Hm.
Anyway, with the fact that Luna was not trying to stand to still, she fell down as soon as that person bumped into her. The other person, however, didn't fell down. The guy was a bit shocked because Luna was there, but then instead of saying sorry to her, he ran away immediately. The girl stood up slowly. If a look in the eyes could kill someone, then that guy would definitely fall into a deep sleep and, never wake up again. Just like "Sleeping Beautician" or something, but without the kissing part.
Though, she wondered what could make that guy ran away as if there was a scary creature near him. When she turned around and realized what was happening, her face was still calm as usual. First of all, she had already guessed that this would happen. Second, even if she didn't, she wouldn't show that she was surprised. Doing that was tiresome.
What the problem was, there was a Ravenclaw guy standing near a burning tree and the black thing on the tree, was that a cat? "Idiots," Luna mumbled, and she was also sure her voice was low enough so that the guy couldn't hear. She had heard that cats were good at hearing, but she doubted that it could understand what she had just said. Cats could not understand humans, even her own cat, he sometimes couldn't understand what she said. It would be weird if a cat could just understand everything a human said without training.
About the reason why she called them idiots, that was so obvious. The cat could jump down to get out of the tree. However, it seemed like the cat too scared to use its brain. Sad story. And the other student, hadn't that guy learned the Extinguishing Spell? He could just cast it on the tree, what made him just standing there and not doing anything? He might enjoy looking at the cat trying to run away. Kids were insane these days. A Hufflepuff called the filthy toilet "porcelain palace". A Slytherin trying to jump out of the window whenever they saw a prefect. Both of them were first-year students and both of them were insane just like this guy.
"You over there," She looked at the Ravenclaw, "If you bring your wand with, take it out and cast the Extinguishing Spell at the tree unless you want it to keep burning." While she was still saying it, she had a dilemma on her head. Should she just keep talking to this guy to avoid doing the "Saving the little poor cat" mission or should she help it?
Luna sighed. She actually had no interested in doing this thing, but life was a life. Even if it was just a cat. She took out her wand, and mumbled, "Extinguo." It might fail, it might not, she had no idea and she did not really care. She had already 'attempting to save the cat'.
Just because I said you were bad does not mean that I am mean. It shows that I am honest.

There was something weird about the cat. The young boy could not really pin what, but there was certainly something off. It was…not scared enough? Arc did know that cats had fewer heat receptors and did not feel pain until it reached over fifty degrees Celsius. And he knew that they tend to stay put instead of running away when there was fire. But the cat was too…chill? And the way it meow-ed, it felt like it was directly speaking to him.Interacting with: @Luna Choi & @Sebastián Cazarez
Ugh. What the heck was he thinking about. It was not the time to think of such useless thought. He had got to save him. And fast. Cats had small airways and lung capacity. And even cats who survived the fire might still succumb to inhalation injury later on.
"You over there," a sound suddenly heard from behind him. "If you bring your wand with, take it out and cast the Extinguishing Spell at the tree unless you want it to keep burning."
A cute lavender-haired girl appeared! But man was she rude. He was actually already halfway of taking his wand out from his pocket. And he certainly did not need to be reminded. But it would not do him well to antagonize the girl. She might just be what he needed to save the cat. Hopefully.
Apparently, his judgment was spot on. The girl quickly took out his wand and tried to use the extinguishing spell. Without saying anymore word, Arc followed suit. There was no time for chit-chat. “Extinguo,” he cast calmly. The young girl’s wand would light up a little before fizzing out as her spell failed. Thankfully, the boy succeeded at casting the extinguishing spell and a spray of gray glittery mist spewed forth from the tip of his wand, blanketing the fiery tree in front of him. The mist smothered the fire and cut its access from its fuel, starving it from oxygen.
Unfortunately, the fire had gotten a little too big. And the boy didn’t have enough magical power to stop it quickly enough. Before it died, the fire managed to lick the two closest trees next to it a few times and set the branches and leaves on fire. It refused to die without a fight.
“By the gods…” Arc said out of breath as he released his spell.
He had stopped the initial fire and the cat was now relatively safe. It would not burn anytime soon. But now there were two more trees burning. Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu!!!

Tsk, how annoying. Luna frowned for a few seconds when she "succeeded" with casting the spell. That was not what she expected. She should consider going to the dueling club instead of sitting in the library and read books about these. She had read that reading without practicing wouldn't help. However, she had never listened to it. She had heard that there would be some duels going on soon. She wouldn't apply to a duel but... Well, maybe she would go and watch in the future, who knew?
Now was not the time for her to think of this. Although the other guy managed to cast the spell, things did not go better than she thought. The two close trees... God, she wished that the guys who cast the Fire-Making Spell were not this stupid. But wishing now would not change anything.
Luna sighed. To be fair, it was not like she went to this place because she wanted to. Once again, she wanted to ask her past self. Why did she apply to be a prefect? Well actually... she only disliked the part solving troubles in this job. The other things were all acceptable.
The cat was still there. Instead of jumping down because there wasn't any fire, it decided to stay there. Who knew what was in that cat's mind? Maybe it was thinking about how to catch fishes in the Great Lake. She doubted that there were any fishes in the Great Lake though, no one had mentioned her about it. She should try searching for some books about it in the future.
Looking at the two burning trees, Luna let out a sigh. Now she had two options. One was calling the professors for help, and second, would be trying to put the flames out. She hated asking others for favors. Which was why well, she would go for the second choice instead of the first one.
She was not sure if she should continue trying to keep casting this spell though. She failed once, and if she also failed this time, that would be annoying.
Luna was not sure what the guy near her was thinking, But well, what he was going to do depended on him. She had no interested in attempting to tell him what was in her mind. He could do whatsoever he wanted, she did not care. Choosing the tree near her, Luna mumbled. "Extinguo."
