The train rumbled softly as it sped along the trail, It was not loud compared to the trains in the muggle station, and Eren thought it had to do with the magic surrounding the Hogwarts Express. Even the rhythmic clatter of wheels on the tracks is unnoticeable, Only a steady quietness fills the compartment. Erendriel is sitting near the window, Staring at the scenery flashing by. She was still upset about being away from her parents for the first time, but she is also has a mixed feelings of excitement as well as worry of going to Hogwarts that churning into her stomach. However it is not noticeable because of her calm demeanor, her hands resting on her knees as she gazes out the window.

This is it, I’m really leaving home, she thought. Her chest clenched as she recalled herself waving to her parents and hugging her mother for the last time on the platform, and she still saw her mother’s soft smile and her father’s encouraging nod as she walked along the train. She was already missing her parents, their home especially the garden, and everything seemed so far away that she simply wanted to run back into her parents loving embrace.

Hogwarts, as if the word itself felt so magical. The castle is full with remarkable professors, that she is gladly want to meet and learn from them. There is a book she remembered reading while snuggling her favorite furry doll the night before leaving for Hogwarts. It was the history of heroic witches and wizards on their adventures and incredible feats of achievements. Furthermore, there is also a book called "Hogwarts: A History", there is a part in the book with the information about the magical beast that lived in the Great Lake, It is about the playful Giant Squid who was constantly splashing water on the students, a total bane, though it is friendly and accepts food according to the book. A small smile crept onto her face as she thought about what might be her life, her heart lifting with so much joy at the idea.

It’s what I’ve dreamed about since I was little. Despite this she felt uncertain about herself as she looked at her reflection in the the window, She took a deep breath, hoping to settle and calm her racing thoughts, Maybe this is how everyone feels their first time going to Hogwarts. Perhaps they’re all nervous, too, just like me. I’m still a kid. We are still a kid. Her mother said it’s alright to get anxious. It’s going to be amazing. I’m really going to Hogwarts! she told herself, the excitement finally bubbling up past her nerves.

For the first time since she boarded the train, her little fingers lightly tapped against her knees. A sudden knock at the door made her startled, She swiftly turned around to see where the sound, and her heart skipping a beat. The door slid open, and a child stood there, slightly out of breath and disheveled.

Doey was often one to panic. Though she never intended to show it on her face, she would eventually learn that everyone could see her slight change in expression. So when she went from one booth to the other in the train car, noticing every seat was filled, or obviously taken by chummy groups… she began to worry, as she does. How could I interrupt someone else’s conversation? My mother taught me better than that.

“Maybe I’ll have to sit on the floor?” She softly mumbled to herself. Doey was running out of hope. That is, until she peeked through the window of the next compartment. Yes! Someone is sitting alone! Her heart raced as she knocked on the door — Wait, I should introduce myself first. Oh, maybe she wants to sit alone, actually? She shook her head. I really don't want to sit on the floor!

Abruptly opening the door, Doey regained her composure. “Ahem,” she cleared her throat, “Good morning! Can I sit here?” She mustered as bright a smile as she could on her face. She had a genuine smile, with crooked teeth that added a certain charm to her. Her cheeks began to burn. She never really enjoyed imposing on others, but she was running out of options.

She waited patiently for half a second, but decided to sit down anyway. Twiddling her thumbs, she sat straight, feeling an awkward sort of tension. Though likely, it was just her imagination. She needed to say something to break this deafening silence.

“So! Are you a first year? I mean. You look like a first year. You don’t have house robes…” She paused, then quickly added, “I’m also a first year!” She pointed to her own blank robes, as though her nervous demeanor didn’t automatically give it away.

There was barely a pause in the conversation (really, it was just her rambling), but it was a millisecond too long for Doey. She immediately straightened up and gathered her thoughts. Be concise! She told herself.

“Sorry. I’m a little nervous. I mean, I’m Doey!… is my name. My name isn’t Nervous. Blimey, that’d be an awful name—oh! Almost forgot. It’s wonderful to meet you! And you are…?”

Doey looked up at her train-mate expectantly, noting her silver-gold hair and soft face.

Erendriel barely regaining her composure, blinking startled by the sudden entrance, random words spilling from the girl, and suddenly sit in front of her. Rude. I haven’t even let her in. Suddenly come up to me and ask if she can sit with me. Oh this girl. She tilted her head slightly, she look at the girl noting her bright smile, crooked teeth, and flushed cheeks. This girl was a bundle of energy and soo... open, wasn’t she? It was endearing, though.

She watched as she fumble through her introduction, tumbling over each other in a rush. Erendriel wasn’t sure what to say because she’s not used to this, it was a little overwhelming but then she noticed the nervous edge in her voice, and the way her hands twitched slightly in her lap. The realization kicked in She’s just as nervous as I am. That thought made her slightly relax.

She tucked a soft curls behind her ear, her lips curving into a small smile and said softly “It’s nice to meet you, Doey. My name’s Erendriel.” Friendly gestures and soft voice can make someone relax while talking with you, that’s what mother said.

She had been sitting here fretting about how to make friends and what her life would be like at Hogwarts. The universe had already made my wish come true, and now here was someone feeling the exact same way and talking to me.

“I was thinking the same thing before you came in, i have this anxious thoughts, well I mean...” Her smile grew a little brighter “It’s nice to know I’m not the only one who’s feeling nervous”

Just as Doey was about to respond, a sudden knock halted her response, interrupted them and the door of their compartment swung open. A cheerful voice of the trolley lady “Anything from the trolley, dears?”

Eren glanced at her, noticing how Doey’s face brightened when she saw the sweet treats displayed on the trolley. Though it was a brief but it quickly faded into hesitation. Eren could almost hear the thoughts racing through her, she’s probably thinking if her money is enough. Erendriel turned to look at the witch and kindly said “I think we could both use sweets to eased up” Offering Doey a gentle smile. It wasn’t much but it felt like the right thing to say.
