Karina Eaglewood | Slytherin | Second Year

A Dream to Keep Dreaming
Karina Eaglewood, a girl with blonde hair lived in The Slytherin Dorm of Hogwarts. She had all those traits that usually characterized a Slytherin house member: smart, ambitious, and cunning. But even as this bright young woman sailed through her schoolwork and shone bright among the peers of her house, night times brought Karina dreams that seemed to transport her into other worlds. One night Karina slept and dreamed about things which she could hardly say were either familiar or strange. She was out of some dark forest, with big trees at either of her sides, and voices which seemed to whisper from the very night that surrounded her. As deeper she plunged into the forest, so the shadows started dancing along to scare and attract her at the same time. Karina had come to a clearing bathed by moonlight, in which stood a figure wrapped in dark, with eyes glowing from within. The closer she came to the figure, the more a wave of fear overtook her, yet she was unable to turn away. It spoke to her in a voice that seemed to reverberate deep in her soul, and as she listened, she almost recognized it. And on and on-visions of a strange and otherworldly past melting into one's involvement with the world of magic and with no apparent end. She saw flashes of mighty wizards and sorcerers of old when great spells fought running battles, their remnants hidden far inside deep in time over skies and spaces. By the time the dream was over, a feeling had been instilled in her-like some kind of purpose and determination, something in her soul woke up. Karina woke up disoriented, yet incredibly clear about the vividness of her dream. It would not leave her mind that there was more to the dream than a string of random images and sensations. It was almost as if the dream was trying to tell her something, guide her toward some destiny yet to be uncovered. These images and feelings of the dream stayed in the back of her mind as she went about her day. She found herself drawn to books and scrolls concerning ancient magic and lost secrets in search of answers that could explain who or what appeared in her dream. Deep in the Hogwarts library, she searched for answers about the mystery revealed in the dead of night. There, she had met influential people in her quest to know, individuals who literally gave their lives to study magic and secrets of the past. She took advice from wise professors, erudite witches and wizards who shared their wisdom and experience with her and guided her through this journey of discovery. With each unearthed piece of information, Karina felt herself closer to the truth revealed to her in her dream. While lost in the mystery of a fantastic world of magic, she began to realize more and more that all this was no dream, but another reality elsewhere, looking other than her awake, aware life. Indeed, the seeker of knowledge and keeper of ancient secrets was ready to face whatever lay ahead in the race against ignorance. With shining hair of gold to the light of the Hogwarts towers, Karina Eaglewood was about to show what lay hidden from the world for hundreds of years.

Karina's Ability

Perfectionist

Perfectionist
Karina, always trying to make new friends, trying to help everyone out, trying to make good 1st impressions. She tries to be perfect, even though most of the times, she has trouble.
During her years at London, before Hogwarts, she often found it easy to make friends because she had a plan to follow. She had to be perfect, otherwise what would people think of her? She knew she couldn't mess up, say anything wrong or disturbing, and she couldn't accuse anyone of doing anything.
The main reason why Karina is so picky about the way she makes a good impression is all because the time when she made herself look like a fool. She was only 6 years old, yet became so traumatized, that now, she has to be perfect. Being a perfectionist, is all part of Karina's way...
Back when Karina lived in America, Before she turned 8 , she had a very hard time at school. She recently had switched schools, because the other one had closed down. It was her first day, and she wanted to make some friends, otherwise she would struggle by living a lonely life (in her opinion). Coming to a new school wasn't easy, and she spent the entire day thinking, who she should be friends with.
It was lunch time, and Karina brought a chicken sandwich. Eating alone, a group of 4th graders walk up to Karina. "What'cha eating, loser?" Karina, still young and not smart, replied to them... "I'm eating a chicken sandwich." "Really? Is it...yummy? , Laughed the 'leader' boy. "Oh yes, very. I think you got my name wrong." "Oh? Did we?" "Yes, but it's okay. You said my name is Loser. It's a pretty name, but I'm not quite sure that's mine though." The boys kept laughing, and for the rest of the year, Karina was teased by the entire 4th grade!
Since that day, Karina had been traumatized, she needed to feel like she could do anything. She needed to be perfect. Bullying wasn't Karina's favorite experience and she doesn't want others to be bullied. So whenever she sees a student feeling down, she makes sure to comfort them, as long as she doesn't make herself look/feel like a fool.
To her brother, life was always seeming to be a competition. Who is better? Who is Mom's favorite? Who is Dad's favorite? Her brother and Karina had always been so competitive, and both of them tried to be perfect, so their 'competitions' were often a close call or tied since their parents hated choosing favorites.

Now, as Karina was a perfectionist, she tries to ace all of her exams and spell-casting.
One morning, in Charms class, there was a difficult assignment of casting a charm. Karina knew that this spell would effect her grades a ton if she didn't do it well enough. Not wanting to make a fool of herself in front of her classmates, she knew that she had to do well. What would others think of her if she didn't do the spell right? That would make her look so bad! Trying and focusing, Karina drew out her wand, and without looking into her spell book, she said the spell wonderfully, passing the class. What would others think of her now?
Even now, Karina tends to do well in her classes, and when she doesn't, she keeps trying until she gets it.
