· · ─────── · 𖢨 · ─────── · ·Koko really disliked handing out detentions. It was, more than anything, a detriment to her – she valued her free time, valued sleep, valued training. This was an affront to her need to constantly be in the air, on the grounds, outside. She found herself holed up in the study room on 16 September because she had run into Minnie Duke while heading outside for, well, let's say, early morning patrolling.
She'd needed a walk, okay? It wasn't her fault that she sometimes had bad dreams and that being outside made her feel better. But no one said she couldn't do early morning patrolling. So she had done some, and she'd found a child outside, and it wasn't like she shouldn't save her own sorry self.
So... this wasn't going to be that long. It wasn't going to be that difficult for Minnie. Koko had written some bullet points on a small paper that she'd set on the desk that would be Minnie's:
ReducioShe'd hoped that Minnie would respond to the final bullet point on a larger paper on the desk, paired with a quill and ink for her to use, and that Minnie would write out her thoughts. It wasn't meant to be difficult; rather, Koko just wanted the girl to think about it a little bit. She also, well, wanted to see what Minnie thought herself. She couldn't help but be curious.- In the Forbidden Forest, there are dangerous creatures that come into the grounds
- Some of these have been cursed creatures like spiders that inject curses into your veins
- You can't ever be sure of anyone's intentions
- What's the best way to stay safe, then? If you have to fend for yourself, isn't it best to avoid such a situation in the first place? What do you think? Why or why not?
When Minnie arrived, she would wave politely. 'Hi, I hope you've had a decent day. This shouldn't take too long... I've got a paper here–' She pointed to the smaller paper. '–with some bullet points for you to look over, and a few questions for you to answer. It doesn't have to be long. I just want you to think about it all a bit. I'll be here if you have any questions, and you can leave whenever you're done; I won't keep you longer than you want to stay.'· · ─────── · 𖢨 · ─────── · ·

This is a detention for Minnie Duke. I'll be moderating this detention, and here are a few guidelines:
1. Please abide by the site's rule of a minimum of 200 words per post.
2. You must write a minimum of 400 words before you can create or join new threads.
3. If you would like, you can keep RPing in this thread after you've met this benchmark.
4. IC, you just have to read the notes on the small paper and write out your thoughts on them on the big paper–it can be brief!
5. You're not in trouble OOC, just IC.
6. Please review our Detention System, and feel free to owl me if you have any questions.

· · ─────── · 𖢨 · ─────── · ·Koko's smile wavered slightly when Minnie said she hoped the detention wouldn't make her day worse. She couldn't exactly guarantee that it wouldn't, but she liked to think she wasn't the type of person to punish for the sake of punishment — this wasn't meant to be boring, nor was it meant to be absolutely horrible, but she could understand why someone might feel that way.
'I really do hope it's not too bad,' she said almost sheepishly before deciding that it would probably be better for both of them if she shut her mouth — she was likely digging a deeper hole.
She awkwardly sat atop a different desk, crossing her legs at the ankles, moderately disappointed by how high her feet rested above the floor. It was almost embarrassing, but thankfully, Minnie at least had something else to focus on. Koko did not. Perhaps in the future, she would plan better when she was administering detentions; perhaps she would bring a book — but she hated reading — or perhaps she could draw — but she wasn't any good at that.
Resigned, she bit back a sigh and glanced furtively out of the window. It was dark. No fun.
Minnie finished her essay, and although she would try to hide it, Koko could not have been more relieved. 'Oh, lovely!' she said genuinely, hopping off of the desk to look at what Minnie had written. 'Well, you can head out whenever you'd like to. I hope you have a nice rest of your evening.'
If Minnie were to leave, Koko would not be too far after her. She would quickly clean up the room and then would head out, probably in search of a relaxing cup of tea.· · ─────── · 𖢨 · ─────── · ·
