Costume Party... In April?
Mac followed along behind Dennis, looking every bit the colorful sidekick that he was. Dennis' enthusiasm was unrivaled, while Mac... well. Mac followed behind the other boy in his red and green onesie, idly fiddling with the cheap polyester cape tied around his neck. He looked nervous, and far less enthusiastic about this than Dennis was. Though they both looked ridiculous, he looked significantly more dorky than his partner in crime(-fighting). The Hufflepuff's hands were on his hips, his face brooding and serious despite his obvious urge to grin.Mac... was green with envy."I am vengeance, I am the night, I am Batman. And Batman- is very thirsty."
Nobody wants to show up to a costume party dressed up as someone's Robin, but Dennis had won the rock-paper-scissors match fair and square. The Hufflepuff skipped back to his common room with barely contained enthusiasm, while Mac did a walk of shame back to his own dormitory to change into his Robin onesie. Not even Nightwing, or the bad-ass sidekick Tim Drake, just... Robin, in all his 1960s Dick Grayson glory. Maybe that was fitting, because he definitely looked like a dick.
Still, it was only a costume party, he supposed. If Mac was stuck being the boy wonder, then so be it. He may as well make the most of it. There was always the Halloween party, of course, and Dennis could be 100% certain that he would be Mac's sidekick somehow for that one. Or maybe the butt of a two-person horse costume.
He smiled back at Dennis as he adjusted the black domino mask framing his face. It was threaded through his hair which, despite his efforts to tame it that morning, was just as wild and curly as always. "Holy Costume Party, Batman!" he exclaimed, though he couldn't help himself from laughing at the absurdity. "Maybe there's a bowl of punch around here somewhere?"
He looked around at the other partygoers. Their costumes were impressive, but they were certainly less... flashy than the crime-fighting duo. He'd half-expected to see a myriad of pop-culture references and homemade cardboard masks. Suddenly, poor Mac felt even more silly than he already did, but Dennis' sheer confidence was infectious. Dennis was certain that they were going to win, so Mac simply shrugged his shoulders and followed the other boy's lead as they were led into the bulk of the group.

Costume Party... In April?
Dennis let out a loud, booming belly laugh at Mac's response, breaking character enough to enjoy the moment properly. Being in character provided a better chance of winning, but Batman also wouldn't have proper fun at something like this as Dennis knew he could. As Maggie approached, Dennis raised a hand to wave at her, smiling wildly.
"Thanks for the invite!" He spoke through a toothy grin, cheeks growing sore now. "Oh, yeah! Carson! Soggy chip boy!" He only smiled wider, turning to give Mac's back a solid pat before spinning back around to follow Maggie to the others. Their costumes were- much different, to say the least. Dennis and Mac had very obviously taken the cheesy Halloween route whereas everyone else fit more into a... well, they looked more like the freshman of his hometown high school dressing up for Homecoming week. They all looked spectacular, less 12 year old chic and more mature than the duo by a long shot. It clicked in Dennis' mind that the group of brightly colored tourists were going to win tonight for sure, the extent of matching beyond Dennis' wildest imaginations. He couldn't match his own socks, let alone match completely with another person.
It didn't phase Dennis at all though, he wore his Batman costume with pride, as if the poorly made onesie was what put food on his table and his kids through school, plus some. He was thrilled to be participating in the costume party and contest, even more thrilled to be doing so with Mac. Though, he wasn't quite close to everyone here, so he let Mac do the talking for the most part. Dennis had always been an outgoing and talkative kid, but when surrounded by kids like these, ones he mostly looked up to and idolized even as his own peers, he got a bit shy.

Costume Party... In April?
Dale adjusted the lab coat he wore. His costume was a simple one, a white lab coat over a simple white shirt, and a blue and black tie hung upon his neck. He had never been to a party ever, much less a costume party. He knew there was a competition for who had the best costume, but he wasn't really going to win any awards with his costume. Exams were right around the corner, and he wanted to spend a bit of time just to relax, and he wasn't really in the mood to read and electronics didn't work at Hogwarts, so TV and video games were out, he assumed since it was a costume party it wouldn't be too crazy.Open to Interactions
As he entered the ballroom, he was in a bit of awe, it was pretty big, and the decorations were just amazing. And another thing he saw where other people's costumes.
He was a bit awkward, he didn't know anyone at the party, he assumed it would be a nice opportunity to meet people or make new friends. He decided to get some punch, he wasn't big into red sugar water, but it was better than having a parched mouth. He decided to just stand around, hoping someone would approach him.

Carson shrugged in response to Maggie’s question about the music, he actually quite liked the music Maggie was already playing. Behind her, Carson saw Charlotte Cadunt walk through the door, dressed up as Belle from Beauty and the Beast.
He watched her walk over, stopping to compliment Margo on her costume and to thank Maggie for inviting her. She looked pretty— really pretty, in her costume, and Carson had to swallow his fear before approaching the girl.
“Uh, hey, Charlotte!” he greeted, somewhat awkwardly. “I love your costume, you look— you look great!” he stammered slightly, grinning at the girl to hide his blush.
“So, what’s your favorite costume so far?” he asked, glancing around the crowd of students that’d gathered so far. “Besides mine, of course.” he joked, in a duh tone, even though it’d only taken him a quick owl to put together his costume.
A Slytherin girl walked in after Charlotte, wearing an intricate Phoenix costume and bright makeup. He didn’t recognize her, she was the only person in the room Carson didn’t recognize really, so he made a mental note to talk to her later on. A Slytherin boy walked in after her, one Carson thought he recognized from Maggie’s Lake Party. He was dressed as a doctor, or maybe a scientist? He stood around awkwardly, as did the girl dressed as a Phoenix. Glancing down towards Charlotte, they shared a sympathetic look, and Carson waved the two over.
“Hey, I’m Carson.” he introduced himself, after the two had walked over. He glanced down towards Charlotte, who introduced herself after he had. “I think I recognize you from Maggie’s Lake Party,” he began, pointing towards the doctor, “but I’ve never seen you around before.” he finished, swiveling his gaze over towards the girl in a phoenix costume. “What’re your names?”

Costume Party... In April?
Dan walked inside, seeing people had arrived already. He was clearly excited, as he loved costume parties. Halloween was always his favorite holiday for more reasons than one.
He had decided to go as Joker, from Persona 5. One because he loved the game, and two, his dad had always commented on how he'd look just like him when he was older.
He was dressed in the awesome black jacket that had the collar flaring up nearly halfway up his face and had three tails down to his ankles, the long black pants, the cool shirt, red gloves, and of course, the white mask. For this party, he even wore shoes. Naturally, the same ones Joker wore. As a last touch, he even hand made the same calling cards the Phantom Thieves used in the game, and wrote up different text for each one.
He'd tried to find a spell that would let him conjure some still phantom image of Arsene, but he couldn't find one. To his disappointment. But, he would have just been an added bonus, so Dan didn't worry too much about it.
Once inside, he marveled at how incredible the place looked. He wondered how long it must have taken them to do all this, and decided on a while or with a LOT of effort, or both.
He spotted Mac from the lake party; or at least he thought it was Mac from the lake party, wearing-
Oh my god.
What in God's name was- Wait. Was he Robin? Like, legs exposed to the thighs in a speedo Robin?
Dan had to fight heavily with himself to keep from laughing. Joker was supposed to be calm and cool all the times, but GOD that was hysterical. While Dan did think he looked kind of cute, he also kinda looked like a knob.
Dan decided that he was going to start things off the right way this time. With some fun.
Using his silent thief walk, one that he'd practiced for countless months back home, and got back into the practice after getting the invite from Maggie, he silently strolled right up behind Mac, slowly reached out, and suddenly grabbed his shoulder while at the same time being right next to his ear.
"Hey there."

Costume Party... In April?
Lallie adjusted her shawl as her heels were clicking down the hall to the ballroom. Maggie had invited her and a bunch of people to a costume party. Lallie was a bit confused when she got the invitation. Sure Lallie and Maggie knew each other but they kind of only met a few times. Lallie didn't mind but she assumed she didn't know Maggie well enough to come to the party.Open to Interactions
Lallie at first didn't really want to go, it was a party and parties haven't really been going well at Hogwarts. Then she decided she should go. Maggie was her partner in crime when it came to dragons, she didn't want to possibly disappoint her. It was also student hosted so maybe it would go different than the ones hosted by the school.
Lallie has always loved dressing up so if she was going to go to the party Lallie was going to go all out. She loves dressing up in costumes for Halloween and stuff but also getting a prize for doing so is even better. She knew she had to go all out. She had seen these students at parties with their outfits, who knows what they'll wear to a costume party.
Lallie would've done a group costume since it would've been super fun, but also less people would probably be doing group costumes than solo costumes. She didn't know anyone other than Millie and Maggie well enough to do a group costume but Maggie was already in a group and she thought it would be awkward to ask Millie to pair with her. So she decided to come up with a solo costume.
After putting some thought into it Lallie sent an owl home with some money and a letter, and her parents sent Lallie a package containing everything she needed to complete her outfit. Lallie has always loved dressing up in costumes that are from back in time. This time Lallie decided to go with a 1920s look. She got a flapper dress, a feather headpiece, a shawl, and even styled her hair to have a 1920s faux bob hairstyle. It wasn't that hard to do actually, just some hair ties, hairpins, and hairspray.
The look was good but it was missing something, some sort of flair. Then she had the thought to be a vampire as well. The "Roaring Twenties" had a very gothic-esque feel to it which just screams vampire. So adding on to her 1920s look she put white foundation on her face and body that wasn't covered by her costume which gave her a literal pasty white look. She may be a ginger but her skin wasn't pure white. To finish off the look she puts in faux fangs and a bit of lipstick running down her chin as if she had just sunk her teeth into a snack.
Stepping into the ballroom she was amazed at how simple and quaint they were able to make this ballroom so it felt like it was just a student party. This was amazing considering only a couple of students set this up. There were already quite a bit of people here and it was equally amazing how different everyone's costumes are.
The amount of people who were already here kind of put off Lallie. She wanted to get there early since she did better at parties if she wasn't immeaditely thrown into a big crowd. She would bear through it though. Lallie decided she would just chill by herself for a few minutes before approaching anyone. If anyone approached her that was fine but she wasn't going to do it herself for bit.

Costume Party... In April?

Phoenix spent a moment locating things around the room. The music playing in he background was upbeat and she recognised most of it too. She noticed the food table and made a note to spend some time over there later. She also noticed the various different interactions that were going on around the room and laughed as a boy dressed as a character she didn’t recognise made the kid dressed as Robin jump.
After pulling herself out of her awe inspired trance Phoenix noticed that a boy who had been stood with Maggie was waving at her and another boy who had entered soon after she had. He was wearing a similar costume to what Maggie, and the others she had been stood with that she didn’t recognise, were wearing but in yellow. She assumed that it was a group project and given Maggie’s was red and the other two were blue and green Phoenix guessed that the costumes were also house orientated.
As she came over the boy introduced himself as Carson before asking for their names. Phoenix giggled slightly before doing an extravagant twirl and saying “My name’s Phoenix!” She laughed slightly at the dumb irony of her own joke and just hoped that the others didn’t just think it was stupid. “Phoenix Donovan,” She clarified, still chuckling slightly before adding “I absolutely love your costumes!”

Costume Party... In April?
@Dennis Harris @Dan Palmer
Mac stuck close to Dennis, for the most part, because if poor Robin strayed too far away from Batman, he'd look even more like a dick than he already did. So he idled in the group, listening to the other kids talk as he thumbed at his cape.
Mac was, for the most part, lost in his own little world when he felt something grab him by the shoulders, eliciting a squeal that was far more high-pitched than he'd ever admit. He spun around to face who it was, only to be greeted by a stylish, black and white masquerade mask. He paused for a moment, looking over the other boy's costume, before the intent behind it finally clicked. "Oh!" he gasped, "You're Joker!" Before Dennis had a seizure over the idea of a Batman villain showing up to the party, he quickly added, "Not- not Batman Joker, I mean, you're Persona 5 Joker." He was grinning like an idiot; he loved the Persona games, and the boy's costume was spot on.
He pursed his lips, squinting as he tried to recall who the boy was; Mac was certain that he knew him, but the mask obscured just about every part of his face, save for his jaw and brown eyes. Then, Mac snapped his fingers, a look of realization crossing his face. "Dan, right?" He asked, his smile growing wider. "Yeah, I remember you. You're the Slytherin from the Lake Party, the one who, uh..." That's right. Dan had been one of the people who'd leapt to Mac's defense. The boy huffed out an embarrassed laugh, before pointing his gaze to the ballroom floor. He still hadn't fully lived that one down. "I'm, uh- 'fraid I didn't bring a casserole to this one."

Maggie was really going all-out with this costume party idea- which was a shocker. Or- perhaps not, this was Maggie in the conversation. Millie had known her friend for far too long to think she wouldn't do it.
Any costume idea would've been cute, but Millie knew exactly what to wear. It was not at all conventional but damn, the girl rocked the flowers. Adorned her head was a fluffy white and gold flower crown, which topped off the white dress she wore. Instead of bringing a basket or a bouquet with petals, Millie stuffed her pockets with light purple petals and anytime she spoke to someone and wanted a little laugh, she'd throw them.
Clicking her shoes against the ground as she walked towards the Ballroom, she quickly took notice of them time- she would be very fashionably late. Though, she didn't pick up the pace. You really couldn't rush perfection. And she had a sickening fear that she would drop and lose her flower crown.
Finally getting to the ballroom, Millie walked up to Maggie and smiled brightly. "You really did it Mags, huh?" After looking around the ballroom, she turned back to Maggie. "I'm actually kind of glad you did, everyone looks so beautiful!" There was a certain red-head that Millie spotted not too far from here, and quickly, she walked over.
"Hey Lallie! Long time no see! You look absolutely stunning!" After speaking, Millie took the stupid brave step and wrapped her arms around the red-head, hugging her softly. If there was anything Millie was good at, it was hugging.

OOC : So, since we're back dating this, I'm not entirely sure about the timeline, so I think the only people I really know IC are Maggie, Charlotte, and now Carson, since we set this up. Not sure if Maggie's lake party occurred before or after this.
If the timeline is clarified, and I need to make some changes, I can edit this post later.

Tatiana was standing in the Hogwarts ballroom, hands on her hips, as she looked around the vast space at the setup they had just finished. Her closest friend Maggie, a spunky young Gryffindor, had decided to throw another one of her infamous parties- this time, a costume party, in April. With the help of another one of Maggie's friends, a very kind Hufflepuff named Carson, they had managed to get all the decorations set up just in time to change before guests were set to begin arriving.
The two girls rushed to the nearest girl's restroom to get ready. Maggie had proposed a group costume, tourists, and planned matching costumes for Tatiana, Carson, and Sylvie- who would be arriving later. Each of them was to wear khaki shorts with oversized floral button ups, in their respective house colors, and various accessories. Tatiana, being the Ravenclaw representative of the group, had a loose fitting, collared, blue floral button up with large cream colored flowers that was tucked into her waist high shorts. She paired it with high rise white socks, plain white sneakers, and sunglasses on her head that were holding her hair back. Both looking their best, the two girls quickly returned to the ballroom, where Carson was already waiting, and the first of the guests was making their way through the doors.
Maggie was very much a socialite, but Tatiana, not so much. She knew her vibrant young friend was always busy doing one thing or another, and it felt like she met someone new every day. Tatiana was ready to make new friends, she thought about it frequently, but she already felt a little overwhelmed thinking about how many people were supposed to be coming. She followed Maggie over to the tables as she pressed play to start the music, but as she waltzed back towards the center of the room, Tatiana stayed behind. She was sure Maggie would be the perfect welcoming party for the guests as they arrived, but she felt more comfortable hanging out on the fringe of the party and waiting until she felt up for mingling.
Grabbing a drink from one of the tables, she leaned against the wall and watched as everyone arrived. The first was a blonde haired Slytherin girl, who she assumed probably had to be Sylvie, as she was donning the group's tourist attire. Then, a short haired girl in a fun, retro 80s chic style outfit. A uniquely dressed cat girl. Batman, and his trusty sidekick, Robin. A classy and adorable steampunk girl, complete with a parasol. A phoenix, a mad scientist, the joker, a flapper right out of the Roaring 20's. And finally, after waiting what felt like an hour, she noticed someone she recognized. Charlotte, a sweet Hufflepuff girl she'd met on her first night at school, walked in dressed as a beautiful Belle, with a blue dress, ribbon in her hair, and an armful of books.
She watched on, both impressed and a little jealous, as Maggie eagerly greeted and introduced each guest as they walked in. Maggie had a level of confidence Tatiana aspired to and it was always an adventure having her around. She didn't want to come off as rude, or hide in the corner like a wallflower, so she quickly finished her drink and disposed of her cup before making her way over to the small crowd of people that had gathered around their bubbly party host. As she approached, everyone was excitedly discussing their costumes and trying to figure out if they knew one another. Still a little too nervous to bother introducing herself to the whole group, she walked up beside someone she knew. "Charlotte, I love your costume, you make a lovely Belle."
