Wait, someone looks up to me?
@Tracey Bailey
Backdated to 23rd of October right after Match 7
Silva was in awe. She'd just watched the duel of Slytherin versus Ravenclaw. She was sad that Ravenclaw had lost, but she still thought it was awesome. Yolanda had been amazing! The first Ravenclaw to go out, Tracey she thought, had also been great! The last one, Iris, didn't do much of anything. She wondered if there was something going on with her. She hoped not.
She was heading down to the Great Hall thinking about how it went. Yolanda had dodged so many spells and done so much damage. Tracy had made sure to help her teammates out. She'd felt so bad when both of them had been knocked out.
She looked in front of her and grinned as she saw the girl from duelling, Tracey. Already out of the hospital wing. She rushed forwards, they were walking at a very slow pace, and smiled at her. Her usual shyness completely forgotten she burst out "Are you ok! That duel was sooo cool! You did really well." She wrapped her arms around her back and with a little bit of her shyness returning asked "Could you teach me.. how to duel?"
It was now, after enthusiastically talking, that her shyness fully came back, and she looked down at the ground awkwardly. What if she thinks I'm weird....

She frowned at Tracey saying something about avoiding lightheadedness. That didn't sound fun. She wanted to duel but she didn't want to get hurt.... sadly that seemed unavoidable. She'd seen multiple members of the duel on fire and she was pretty sure 3 had been knocked out. Including the duellist now in front of her.
At Tracey saying she'd love to teach how to duel Silva regained her excitement. "Really! Can we start now? How do you do it? Are there any spells you need to know? Could I join now? Are there any slots open on the team? Can you teach me one of the spells you used? Can you......" She stopped suddenly, realizing she'd been barraging the older girl with questions. "Sorry....." Man. She must be really excited about this to keep talking this easily.
"Um... Yeah... I want to join the team.... it seems really cool...." It did seem cool. She wondered, do they do group practices or are they just told the dates to show up?
She turned down a hallway towards the Great Hall. Or at least she was pretty sure it was towards the Great Hall. Then again, if it wasn't she had a second year with her who could tell her it was wrong. It definitely seemed louder down here. If they were approaching the Great Hall it would tend to get louder.

Silva winced at Tracey's response. Understandable. Besides. She didn't actually want to duel right now, she was just really excited. REALLY excited. Who wouldn't be? Duelling seemed awesome, although it also seemed painful.... eh...
She grinned after Tracey said they could duel before her next match. "Uh.. yeah! That would... that would be great!" Her enthusiasm and natural shyness mixed to make her sound quite strange as she varied from excitement to awkwardness. Maybe I should get speaking lessons.
She listened reverently to the duelling spells. She'd already learned Tarantallegra and she was getting pretty close to figuring out the sparks charms. She just needed to learn the levitation charm then. "So... I'm close then! I know 1 of those spells and am close to sparks.... It's really hard to learn them though..." She'd been having a little bit of trouble. The classes were just really hard!
She thought about her earlier thoughts. About the practices they did. She decided to ask the duellist. "Umm... do you do practices.... in the duelling team?" She really was curious. It might determine whether she decided to join one of those duelling clubs she'd been seeing. She was pretty sure she'd seen a couple. They seemed cool but if there were already going to be practices and she was joining two clubs and starting another, she might not want to join a fourth club.
As she continued walking the noises got louder. Given that and the fact that Tracey hadn't told her she was going the wrong way she was pretty sure she was close to the Great Hall. Her stomach growled at the thought.

Silva grinned VERY wide when Tracey said she'd send an owl. She was going to learn how to duel! Just a few months ago she hadn't even known about this entire world of magic and now she was about to learn how to duel.
"Great! Um... I'm really excited!..." She really was! This was someone who was good enough to be on the duelling team! Sure, she'd lost the last round, but that wasn't for lack of trying!
She really wanted to duel. She'd always been a nerd. She probably would always be a nerd. She was never the kind of nerd who had any idea what to do in a sport. Generally she didn't mind much, but.... Sometimes she just wanted to play a game and actually be good at it. She always felt bad when teams were picked at school and she was on one of them, because she always failed. But this, duelling, it was something she might actually be able to do. The idea of that excited her beyond what anyone would probably realize. She might actually be able to succeed at a sport. Then again, she wasn't doing super good with her spells so far so... even in duelling she might fail.
That thought depressed her. What if, even in a game that was about skill instead of strength, she failed. What if she couldn't do it. It almost made her want to just leave Tracey and curl up in her bed. No. She was not going to cower away at the thought of failure. She was going to practice with Tracey and get good enough that she didn't feel bad signing up for duelling.
She snapped back into reality at Tracey's offer. A small smile returned to her face. "That would be... great!" Tracey appeared to believe in her. She couldn't believe this girl was so nice to not only suffer a random 1st year that started barraging her with questions, but also to offer to help her duel and learn spells.
She tilted her head at the older girl's response to her last question. "Um... are those games official or just kind of side things.... also how long have you... been on the team..."

Silva was getting excited again. After thinking about- NO. She was not going to think it again. But... after thinking about that... she'd been kind of sad. Now she was happy again.
She listened thoughtfully to Tracey's next words. She would guess that most people did what Tracey had done and never even thought to ask someone for help. Normally that would be what she would do, but this time she'd seen Tracey and decided to talk to her. Then this had happened.
"Yeah... I was going to do that too... but then I saw you and figured....." Figured I might actually succeed and not embarrass myself if I asked for help. Figured I might be able to do well on the duelling team.
"Cool! Do you just kind of find partners or... do you have like a club you do it in" She questioned about the 1v1 duels. She stayed quiet and listened to the rest of what Tracey was saying. "7 months!" That's a long time. She must have done a bunch of duels by now.
She thought over everything Tracey had said. She felt bad about how Tracey said she kept getting targeted with the same spell. That must be so annoying. "How many 3v3 duels have you done so far? And how many have you won?" She further queiried.
They had continued walking and were now at the Great Hall. She looked over awkwardly at Tracey wondering if she'd want to sit with friends. "Um.... do you want to... go......"
