Logan nodded in agreement. "That's a good reason to play an instrument. I took a few piano lessons when I was young but didn't get too far with those, to be honest. I didn't do much practice, mostly because I just wanted to read instead. I prefer listening to music over actually playing it myself, if I'm being completely honest."

"That's ok. At least you're not hurting people by doing that. But yeah, you probably might need to steadily work on that, but there's no rush for you to need to work on that." Logan smiled reassuringly.

"Yeah, I'm working on it as best as I can." Logan smiled. "And you don't sound cold or unsympathetic to me."

"Yeah, it actually is quite nice. I mostly do it whenever I either really need to calm down, or when I want to go to sleep. It's actually quite useful in helping me get to sleep, since classical music tends to be so calming." Logan smiled. He could remember many nights where he couldn't sleep, but ever since he started listening to classical music at night, he'd had far less nights where he was unable to sleep, which was great.

"Oh yeah, I've heard some of his stuff. His stuff is better for cheering people up than calming them down, though. But that's still a useful thing."

Severus looked at the clock. It was getting a bit late. He decided that he should probably leave now, or else they’d be talking all night.
Well, it’s been very nice talking to you, but I have to go now. So... I hope to see you soon!” He picked his book up and got up from his chair. He waved towards Logan as he walked towards the exit. It was nice to meet someone who shared many of his interests. Even though Severus had been to Hogwarts for some time, he didn’t really have many friends, and he had barely met anyone whom he shared several interests with.

Severus had just come to the library to do some reading to pass the time, but it seemed like he had ended up making a friend. A friend with whom he could talk about many of his hobbies.

But now as he had said, he had to go. He wanted to look more around Hogwarts. Even though he had been to Hogwarts for quite some time he still barely knew the place. And he wanted to make sure he wouldn’t get lost trying to get to a class when the school year began, as he knew it was certainly possible.

"Ah, that's fair." Logan nodded. He figured that it made sense, I mean, not many people do tend to work on their flaws with others. Probably because it can be a source of vulnerability, he supposed. He noticed Severus glance at the nice wooden clock on the wall, and so also looked and noticed how late it was.

Darn.

He wouldn't be able to read all the books he had wanted to read.

"It's been nice talking to you too." Logan smiled. "I also hope to see you again soon."

When he saw Severus wave at him, he waved back. He had managed to make a friend, that's good. And they shared several interests too! Logan definitely wanted to talk to him again soon, and hoped that they would share a few classes.

Having a friend was nice. Logan didn't exactly make too many when he was young, what with him mostly being quiet, but also having a bad temper a lot of the time.. So making a friend here early on was nice. Logan just hoped he wouldn't end up ruining it in the future.

Logan carefully picked up the three books he had taken from the shelves, making a mental note of the page he was on in Obsidian Abyss, and carefully put them back where he had taken them from. He then carefully decided to leave the library and return to the Ravenclaw dorms.
