15th of July, 7 o'clock
London, Cadunt's House
Charlotte rubbed her eyes softly, woken up by the monotone ringing of her alarm. She got up on one elbow, pressing the 'Stop' button, finally stopping this infernal sound, soon standing up as she slipped her feet in her warm slippers. Her room was still dark, and she cautiously walked towards her window, reluctantly pulling the curtains. A bright ray if sun hit her right and the eye as she took a step back, groaning. She stood there a moment, staring blankly at the rather empty street, noticing only faint lights glimmering in the bakery opposite her house.

Today was quite an important day as she would finally see her very, very good friend, Holly. She had been waiting a long time for this day glancing towards her calendar where a pink circle was drawn around the number 15. She looked at her room as a smile spread across her face, happy to imagine Holly here in just a few hours. Biting her lip, she wondered if the girl would rather sleep in the guest room, one floor above. Best just wait for Holly I suppose...

She rapidly grabbed her clothes set on her desk and rushed to take a shower, impatient to get to the train station. Once she was dressed, she headed downstairs only to meet her mom and dad, already eating breakfast.

'Oh -- Bonjour maman, bonjour papa'
(Hi mom, hi dad)
she said as she kissed them both on the cheek.

They ate breakfast as they quietly spoke, not wanting to wake Alice nor Pénélope. At eight o'clock, they all rapidly cleaned the table and got ready to leave, as Holly would arrive at nine o'clock sharp. They hoped in the car that had already heated up and Ambérine (her mother) with a gesture of her hand, quickly setting the temperature a couple degrees lighter.

They arrived a few minutes later at the station, and walked inside, realising they could've easily woken up a few minutes later. Sitting on a bench, they had the perfect spot to see the train arriving as they started chatting. In only a few minutes, the blond girl, probably wearing her sunglasses, would get out.

The Train enters the station and everybody on it quickly walks out, making a lot of noise, Holly was in a compartment, with her sunglasses on and looking at the roof, a grey and lilac hoodie basically pulled over her headset and face. the other passengers brush her shoulders as they passed by. The sudden burst of sound of chatter coming from other passengers caused Holly to spring up in her stone still position and hit her head on the back of her seat, as she swiftly grabbed her backpack, loaded with clothes and her most important possession, her IPod, she puts one of the straps on her shoulder and rushes out just as the doors close, she sighs in relief and slows her pace, putting on the other strap and adjusting her headphones back to it's original position, putting her shades up onto her forehead to get a better view of the station, as upbeat music played in her ears...

When the morning sun promises another wonderful day
And good fortune is all along the way
When your heart is filled with gladness
'Cause true love has come to stay...

She squeezes her way through the crowd and climbs her way onto the base of a pillar, looking down the long station and spotting Charlotte, her face lights up and she jumps down, rushing towards her friend, screaming at the top of her lungs...

"Char! Ayyyeee... How are you?"

Being childish she jokingly snapped both hands and did two hand-guns pointing towards Charlotte, with a cringe-worthy grin, opening her mouth. then she spots her parents sitting right next to her and suddenly froze, her loud voice turning into that of a mouse's tiny squeak as she blushes from embarrassment.

"Oh... uhmm... hi there... hehehehe...."

She just awkwardly stood there looking to the side, with both her hands behind her back, her left hand holding her right elbow nervously.

Finally, Charlotte spotted Holly, standing on one of the pillars. Soon, her voice echoed in the train station as Charlotte chuckled, amused to see her parents confused faces.

"Char! Ayyyeee... How are you?"

Holly's expression changed drastically when her eyes came in contact with Ambérine and Marius, the girl seemed a little embarrassed.

"Oh... uhmm... hi there... hehehehe...."

Charlotte got up first, closely followed by her mother as she took Holly's suitcase.

'Holly! It's so good to see you again!'
she said as she hugged the girl.

It had been quite a while since the girls had seen each other and Charlotte couldn't help but feel ecstatic, although she didn't show it. They walked towards the car and Marius put the suitcase in the trunk before heading to his seat, his wife by his side, both the girls sitting in the back, chatting. The way home wasn't very long, and before they knew it, they were parked in front of the house.

Marius explained briefly they were going to run errands, but would be back in a gist as the suitcase unloaded itself, arriving just by Holly's feet. Charlotte pushed the front door, walking in the entry hall, following Holly. The house was still rather quiet, Alice and Penelope still sound asleep in the floors above. They made there way to the garden after putting the suitcase on the staircase. The garden was rather big, and if you were to look at it from a Muggle's point of view, it would make absolutely no sense. See, it was a lot bigger than it should, thanks to magic, the tiny-looking garden was completely different once you stepped foot in it.

'Do you wanna go swim a bit?'
Charlotte asked, pointing towards the pool.

Ruby needed to get out. She needed to be away. She couldn't stand being in that house with her parents anymore. How could they hide something like that? Why? Her head was still spinning, even though she had found out days ago. The anger she felt, the jealousy, the confusion… it was all building up and she couldn't let it explode. So, she had taken to wandering London most days. She had to keep herself away, try to ignore it. Luckily for her, she had her three favorite cousins with her today. They never failed to cheer her up – and, for a while, she could forget about the issues she had with other family members.

“Where to, Rubes?” the younger of the Gryffindors asked her with a grin. These boys were all older than her, but they had such a close relationship with her that they were basically her best friends and older brothers. The oldest two were Gryffindors, and the youngest of the three was a Ravenclaw. Ruby shrugged as a response.

They were all wearing Muggle clothes, but in various dark shades as to blend in better. Ruby wore a dark gray hoodie that was pulled over her head and covered a good part of her face, with matching dark gray leggings and sneakers. Although she would not normally wear something like this, she did like the advantages of it. She was hardly noticeable against many of the plain gray buildings, and – luckily – it was cold enough that wearing a hoodie like this was not strange. She slouched slightly, matching the way that many teenagers did, which was extremely unlike her and felt a bit uncomfortable, but she had to make sure that she could pass unnoticed. She had made an extra effort to get rid of the air that she normally had, so now she just seemed… well, normal, and didn't attract attention. It was perfect for causing mischief.

“We could go… exploring, cut through someone's garden,” she suggested, although she felt guilty for saying it like that. She didn't want to accept it for what it was – trespassing. A glance at the others told her that they were up for it, as she was met with nods and shrugs.

They continued walking, this time searching for somewhere to go. “How about here?” the Ravenclaw asked, stopping to face a house, his analytical gaze sweeping over the walls and to what he could start to see beyond. Ruby considered it, then nodded.

With them all in agreement, Ruby began climbing the wall, then paused to sit at the top. She inhaled sharply as she gazed out at the beautiful garden. “Wow,” she breathed. She turned around to glance down at her cousins, then beckoned them. “Come on, guys. You have got to see this.” They followed shortly after, reacting with their own amazement, and the four of them jumped down together.

She walked around in awe, admiring every part of it, her gaze sweeping over it so that she could draw it later. Although Ruby had seen many beautiful gardens and estates, some even nicer than this, nature and its beauty never ceased to impress her. She had almost finished looking the entire thing over when the door opened and she saw two figures emerge, walking kind of in the direction of the pool. “Merde!” she swore quietly without thinking, darting behind a tree, pressing against its trunk. Maybe they hadn't seen her? She gestured frantically at her cousins, who then hid in their own places.

What was worse was that she thought she had recognized one of the girls. Surely it couldn't be Charlotte, a girl she had given detention to near the beginning of the year. What were the chances of that? Why did that have to happen to her? “On est dans la merde,” she mumbled to her cousins. Still, all hope wasn't entirely lost for her. She looked nothing like she normally did – both style-wise and for her normal appearance. She wasn't standing up straight, the clothes were unlike her, the movements weren't like her normal ones, she had her hair in a bun (which she never did), and she was wearing make up to hide who she really was. None of it looked the same. Besides, she was also a good liar – and if all other plans failed, she was still a fast runner.

There was another thing, too. She realized that she had only spoken in French since the girls had come out. If the girls had heard her (or even if not), she could trick them into thinking that she was French. After all, her French accent was impeccable and she was fluent in it… she just hadn't been thinking about it when she had spoken in a different language. She didn't really swear in English, so it was normal for her to do so in French. She didn't really know why, but that was beside the point.

She had been in situations much, much worse than this before. It would all be fine.

Charlotte had changed into her swimsuits rather rapidly and walked outdoors, sliding her sunglasses on her nose, her towel on her arm as she eagerly made her way towards the sunlit swimming pool. It had been such a long time she had been patiently waiting for the moment she could finally get to swim in this clear water. She hummed to herself as she set her towel on one of the long-chairs, pulling her hairtie before putting gently besides her towel. Putting her left foot in the water, she couldn't help but smile as she remembered all the good times she had spent here.

She glanced back at the house as she waited for her friend to join her at any moment but, just as she was about to take a step deeper in the cool water, she heard a sound. A thump to be exact, as if something had landed on the ground, not to far away from her. Rather intrigued, she jumped out as she scanned the seemingly empty garden to see where the sound could've emanated from. Just as she was about to head back to the pool, another sound caught her attention. She froze in place after hearing a subtle
'Merde!'
and gulped.

This was, without a doubt, the voice of a young girl and the swearing made her understand it couldn't have been either one of her sister. Who would sneak in their garden? Was it a friend of hers, for a silly joke? No, of course not, they had cursed in French. She turned on her heels only to see a figure dart behind a tree, before she was even able to see their face. Her heart started to beat very fast in her chest as she breathed in deeply, a worried look on her face. Taking one sharp breath, she walked towards the trees without making a sound, hoping it wasn't someone intimidated or even armed.

She couldn't help but frown at the fact they had been speaking French. Was it someone she knew? Surely not, they had talked in French.

“On est dans la merde,”
she heard the girl whisper.

Sure you are.
Wait. What? She wasn't alone? Oh no, this couldn't be good.
What was she doing in her garden? Should she warn Holly? Call her parents? No, it would be too late, the girl and her group would have escaped already. She took a step forward as silently as possible before gulping.

'Qui- Qui est là? Montrez-vous!'
she said loud enough for anyone around her to hear it.

What she didn't think about was if the girl were to get out and turn out to be much taller than her, or intimidating, or anything really. She couldn't even use her magic in case things didn't turn out okay. She bit her lip as she waited for the girl to show herself.

Holly comes into the garden actually, right after Charlotte spots the other girl, as she sneaks towards the tree, she hears faint noises that sound like french and it also sounded quite annoyed, maybe somebody fell into the garden? Holly didnt know at all, she just looked in that general direction, at first she thought uit might be some other french girl who fell over or something, maybe one o- charlotte's sisters? She had no idea. She moves her way to the side and stops to see the spot where Ruby and her cosins climbed over, with some logical thinking she realizes that nobody in their right minds would be able to make such a large area of pressed down grass in such a short time, so it wasnt only one girl who might have accidentally fell. She knew that whoever it was they did this on purpose.
'Qui- Qui est là? Montrez-vous!'
Charlotte sure did sound frustrated and afraid, well, she should be because a literal group of strangers just came into her garden without notice, which was hella creepy obviously. Judging by the tone charlotte was probably asking who she was and telling her to get out of cover, her directional hearing allows her to assume the girl was behind one of the trees in that general direction.

"What on earth are a bunch of french kids doing in Charlotte's backyard?"

She whispered to herself.
Holly was seriously confused, and afraid that Charlotte would get hurt or treated with harm. She sighed and called out to her

"Hey Char! Th-theres more then one of 'em! You might wanna back off a little..."

She then shook her head, not believing what she was about to say. She wanted to remain quiet about it but she had to say this. To make sure Charlotte's fine.

"Hey um... Bonjore. Whoever you are just get out from hiding. Theres no point. We know youre here and you have to come out and explain yourselves."

She knew that she pronounced the greeting in a weird way but she had to say it for the sake of Charlotte's safety. She jogged behind Charlotte, with one of those one piece swimsuits that made her look like a diver, staring into the direction in curiosity.

Charlotte cried out, asking who was there and telling Ruby to show herself. Shoot. Hopefully, Charlotte wouldn't recognize her… She shot a glance over at her cousins, then beckoned to them before stepping out into the open, the very image of fear, nervousness, and regret. “S'il vous plaît ne me faites pas de mal!” she cried desperately, her hands shaking slightly with "fear". She was actually acting, but it would seem to the others like it was all genuine. She took a few steps backwards, as if she was truly scared that they would hurt her, and her arms were held protectively in front of her. Her cousins followed the way she had behaved and came to stand next to her, the oldest one wrapping a comforting arm around her but remaining in an unthreatening stance. All of them looked apologetic and seemed to be surrendering.

When the other girl with Charlotte had spoken, Ruby stared, looking confused. “Anglais?” she guessed questioningly, then turned back to Charlotte. “Nous ne parlons pas anglais…” She paused and then realized that they were probably waiting for an explanation. “Mes frères et moi pensons que ton jardin est très beau… désolé.” She would not give them one yet, merely a sheepish apology. She shuffled her feet anxiously, staring at the ground and no longer making any eye contact. The boys stared at Charlotte challengingly. Ruby had said most of what was necessary for now, but they would likely add stuff if Charlotte asked more questions.

Translations for those that don't speak French:
S'il vous plaît ne me faites pas de mal – essentially means "please don't hurt me"
Anglais? Nous ne parlons pas anglais – "English? We don't speak English"
Mes frères et moi pensons que ton jardin est très beau… désolé – "My brothers and I think that your garden is very beautiful… sorry" (she's actually lying here though, they're her cousins, not her brothers)

I didn't translate the text in my first post because it's basically just Ruby swearing.

Everything felt surreal. She was standing in her garden, surrounded by strangers, Holly by her side as the sun shone brightly on their faces. Her confusion was visible and she looked at the girl, trying to see if she had ever spotted her, perhaps that could be somewhat of a reason for her to jump into her garden. The more she looked, the more she realised she had never seen this girl in her life. Charlotte's face was so very still, her eyes barely moving now as she tried to think about what was happening around her.
The young girl had just trespassed, climbing over the small stone wall, with her brothers and was now asking for the girls not to harm them. It was quite ironic and Charlotte couldn't help but smile ironically as she stared at her. She walked backwards as the girl did the same, her head slightly tilted so she whisper into Holly's ear.

'She's asking for us not to harm them, and says she doesn't speak English.'
she whispered in a barely noticeable voice, still staring at the girl with a hint of confusion and anger in her eyes.

'She says her brothers and her find my garden very… pretty'
she whispered in a very light manner, holding her hand up as if the girl could decipher her every words.

There was something odd, about this girl, but Charlotte couldn't quite put her finger on it. She walked closer to her, in a slow and graceful manner, her steps muffled by the thick, green grass. Her brothers were staring at her, but she tried her best not to show her anxiousness, and the girl was now staring at the ground. Charlotte stopped in her tracks, not really knowing what to do. She walked closer to the girl, closer than she would've ever dared to be to a stranger. Crossing her arms, her eyes were now emotionless (which was a rather hard thing to do for her, as her empathy was very hard to hide).

Taking a deep breath, feeling her heart beating rapidly in her chest and in a confident voice said.
'C'est une excuse pour rentrer sans permission?'

Never, ever, would she have done that. But for some reason, she did right now. What she wanted to do was say it was alright, and just watch them as they left silently. After all, the girl had apologised. But the look on her brothers faces didn't seem to be translating the same expression and feeling. Once more, it felt odd, as if they were not feeling sorry, as if they were simply having fun at this moment. If they had had the same words or actions as the girl, she would have gladly let them go…

Holly nodded as Charlotte whispered into her ear, she looked over at the 3 strangers stand8 ng right in front of them, she looks at Ruby's innocent face and shows a smile. "Awwwwwwwwwwwww. They think that garden's nice... well... it is."

Her smile twitched a little as she saw Ruby's 'brothers' looking like they were serial killers in mugshots, not pretending well enough, the smiles were fake and the hostility could be seen in their brows and nosebridge. She kept her smile up.

"W-well, i dont really... own this place, and um... so yeah. F-feel free to ask... her."

She pointed at Charlotte as she slowly backed upp and began jogging backwards, winking at Chaelotte as she backed into the house and closed the transparent sliding door, she could be seen looking worried, and in a hurry.

Holly flicks her face over to them, flashes a quick smile and picks up the phone, swiftly pressing 3 digits on the phone and listening to it, she waited for the cops to pick up as her icy colored eyes shone shivering cold rays of hostility and fear towards the two boys and a hint of doubt towards Ruby. She keeps her eyes on them as her faked smile fades away as nobody bicked up, she looked at the phone and reentered the numbers, 3 digits as well, and listened for about 40 seconds again. She was then seen looking at the phone with a frown and the lip that looks like she was saying...

"What? I thought that line was supossed to pick up instantly..."

She swiftly flicked around and walled into the house, dissapearing from view, looking at the phone confused, as it displayed 911, Holly didnt know that it was 999 here in britan.
