His eyes widened as he finally regained his focus. His grip on Wren tightened as he shot them a guilty look, muttering, “Blimey, I'm sorry about that, mate,” in a hushed whisper. “Alright, let's give this another go,” he says with a cheeky grin, muscles tensing up as he prepares for the next move.

• Allies gain a 10% chance to auto-hit on all actions needing an accuracy vs evasion roll. This does not stack.

"Awesome!" I was up on my feet on the last score.

Cheers all around as Gryffindor were back on their lead! With several KOB from Huff n puff side, all looks good for Gryffindor once more. Currently the chasers are all on their brooms, clearly all could still carry the game well. Thank heavens I am not gonna be up for quite a while at least. While I was a bit saddened for the fact I was still benched, I was glad I wasn't up yet as the match is quite neck-to-neck and I am still someone with the nerves that ain't ready to digest the tension in the air.

Anyway, I will keep cheering on from here! This match is still on!!!

Like an over-excited puppy being let off the leash, Finnegan returned to chasing the quaffle as soon as Pax permitted it. This was what he'd spent countless days, hour upon hour, training for and for the first time in a long while, it showed.
McLeod did her best, she really did, and he recognised the same zeal within her that he'd always had for the game. But, just like him, the small blonde would have to come to terms with the fact that there were bigger, meaner fish than her who wanted the quaffle just as badly.
"Sorry, McLeod," he said with an apologetic shrug after he'd scored for the fifth time and returned to his position on the Gryffindor side of the pitch. "Keep trying."

He turned his attention to @Elsian Cox next, quite possibly the only boy in all of Gryffindor with messier hair and worse sleeping habits. In stark contrast to his joy at his score streak, Elsian looked like a miserable, wet dog zooming around the pitch. Cold, rain and a large crowd of spectators were all quite antithetical to the teenager's favorite past-time: napping. He had to be suffering immensely up there.
And yet, Elsian had become a very stable factor on the team. Sometimes round objects did fit through square holes, it seemed, and Finnegan had queitly come to respect the teenager's begrudging dedication to their cause. Not that he would ever admit such a thing out loud, but it showed in other ways. Most notably, since he had returned to the Phoenix dormitory, not a single item in Elsian's personal inventory had gone missing, not even his sweaters. Maybe it was age, maybe it was war-fatigue, maybe both, but he hadn't even flung a pillow at the Sixth year for months.
Snarky comments however... well...
When he whizzed past Elsian on his return flight to his position, he remarked over shoulder.
"Any day now, Elsi!"

Was it the rain or the pain of being hit that had his vision swimming as he dived out of the way of being hit again? He wasn’t quite sure… What he did know was even one, just one more hit, would’ve surely knocked him out for the count and that had him all the more nervous and alert as he tried to ignore the horrible bruise that was sure to be annoying for the rest of the game. At least for as long as he could stay in…

No snitch yet. He couldn’t quite seem to catch it, that golden blue slipping through his fingers time and time again.

Distantly he wondered if the other seeker would have just as foul luck and immediately shook the thought away with a scowl and flutter of raindrops from his hair as Finnegan raced by, cheeky as ever.

“I’m trying!” For once he didn’t have a clever insult or nickname to go with the words. He really was trying for once, but all this rain- no, the rain wasn’t entirely the problem.

After the upset of the previous attempt, she was determined to get into the next swing of her bat even harder; launching it at Hufflepuff's girl beater in a way that would catch their other one straight in the cross-fire. Oonagh proved to be efficient despite her status as the team's newbie, she had overshadowed even their captains capabilities, though after their display that did not feel like much of an accomplishment to the little lionness. If anything she would never let Pax live that down, especially if there would be a repetition of such a display in the next official match. Not that she minded truly, however it did give her space to attack the captain in case she grew annoyed with them. For now all Oogie had to do was get her head into the game and wreak havoc. Her specialty.

Again it seemed like Atlas wasn't going to be dealing with significant pressure. Her team was staying aggressive on the Quaffle and points were starting to rain in. While she didn't like leaving her goalposts undefended, she knew there was more she could do to help out the team if she left. If Gryffindor wasn't going to press them for points, Atlas wanted to make sure she was staying in the game for her team.

Dashing after the Gryffindor seeker, Atlas wanted to add a bit of chaos. If they could take them out, it might allow their own seeker a better shot at getting to the snitch first. However, she couldn't quite get close enough to Cob the seeker. Altas growled to herself as her attack missed the elusive seeker. The quick flyers were never the easiest to hit but that didn't mean she was finished. Regaining control, Atlas darted forward to get herself back into the game.

Keepers Catch
10% chance to automatically block an attempt to score a goal as long as the Keeper is in the goal area. If an attempt to score has been blocked through this effect, the Keeper may as a free action hurl the quaffle at the opponent team in an attempt to injure a player of their choice (it would be recovered with a quaffle grab action) and treated like a bludger or pass the quaffle to a team mate. This must be declared by the Keeper if either of these free actions are to be utilized.

Evasive Maneuvers
Harder to hit on average, 10% on auto-dodge chance that anything that targets this wizard automatically misses. This is rolled separately from the attack roll.

The impact from the bludger connecting with her bat travels up her arm as she twists to strike with a backhand, a momentary tingle settling in place as she follows the ball's path through the air. Avery is only allowed a moment's satisfaction to see the opposing seeker take the hit. distracted enough to not anticipate the 2nd bludger redirecting towards her. She releases a pained grunt as it impacts her shoulder. There's a momentary scramble to ensure she doesn't tip off her broom or drop her bat, peeling away from the center of the field to get a better view of the state of the field as a whole.

Although she managed to do the maneuver that she'd in many of the practices before this game, the Starfish and Stick, which entailed grabbing with one arm and leg and splaying herself wide, it wasn't needed. Her teams chasers, or really just Finnegan, was mastering the ball. Hufflepuff had no chance of obtaining it, and thus no need for her mid-air splits.
