The Journey

After saying bye to her mum and sister, Lily walked towards the train. She was shaking with nerves but was really excited. She cautiously stepped onto the train and looked around. There were lots of full compartments. Lily explored the train and found a compartment with another first year . "Can I sit here?" Lily asked timidly. " Of course. My name's Isabel by the way. What's yours?" "Lily." Lily smiled gratefully and sat down. She had already made a new friend.

Soon, the train set off for Hogwarts. Lily had never been so happy. She couldn't believe that she was a witch and was going to Hogwarts. She was so excited to learn magic but she was worried. What if she messed up? What if she got expelled? What if she couldn't do magic at all? Maybe this was a bad idea to come here, she thought. Isabel walked up to her and squeezed her hand. "You'll be fine" she said as if she could read Lily's mind. Lily found this comforting and cheered up a little bit. Just then the witch with the trolley walked up. " Would you like anything girls?" Lily didn't know they had a food trolley on the train. She also had a very little amount of wizard money so she couldn't buy anything. Thankfully, Isabel did have money and she bought Lily some chocolate frogs. " Thanks" Lily said. She felt a lot better now. Maybe Hogwarts would be a great experience.
