Emily had witnessed many a time over and relearnt again and again how blessed she was to have someone as loyal and supportive as Scout, as well as many other words to describe her best bud in the world. Seeing her sprout out of her spot and bounded over to her with a face that just beamed optimism only chalked another one up on the tally chart.

A wayward smile dawned her lips as she watched aforementioned best buddy scramble across the tent, bounding towards her before huffing out a gust of air from her lungs when she started pushing her near the front entrance.

"Scout! Wait--!"

""Come on, go go! He's going to get away if you don't run!"

"That's--!"

"Run! Run! Sprint! I don't know any other words for running- so run! Let the icy wind guide you to your fate or whatever they say in movies!"

"Okay! Okay! I'm going! Jeezums, Scout...!"

Emily was practically skidding across the floor as Scout continued to usher her out. Any faster and she would be pushing Emily's face along the ground. Not five minutes ago, Scout could barely stand the guy, but she had no issue with Emily trying (and probably fail?) to talk to him?

"S-Scout, this can't be a good idea. You've seen what he's like-- You even said yourself that he's a--"

"You've totally got this!"

Good lord, just what exactly changed her tune all of a sudden?? Still, it's not like Emily could really argue with her reasoning; how long had Emily been trying to get along with that boy? Too long. And if Scout was giving her the shove she needed - pun more than likely intended - then that must mean Emily was on to something. So much so that Scout was able to see it, and she already had a keen eye at the best of times.

If dominoes really did have an effect, then maybe Emily could give the push needed to get Casey to talk to her? Or tolerate her for five minutes to get something out of him...

Emily turned back to face the cheesy grin plastered on Scout's face and immediately responded with one of her own. Seriously, Scout could probably cure the world's most dangerous viruses with her infectious energy.

"Thanks Scoutie. This time, I'll really try...!" She climbed back out of the tent, where she could hear her call out after her.

"And if Casey says one more mean thing to you, I'm gonna smack him right up his American head!"

Emily chuckled and responded quickly before she closed the tent door back over. "Heh... Noted!"

She wrapped up tightly as the cold hit her skin once more. She could recognise Casey's grumpy footsteps in the snow, a trail leading away from the tents and back over towards the far side of the stadium. If Emily had knew any better, he was most likely going back to where she last found him, which felt quite out of place for him; if you don't want to be found then don't you try looking for another spot to seclude yourself?

Emily wasn't going to complain though since finding him was part one of the goal. At the same time, she could kind of sense it... He was losing his touch. The wall he had tried to keep up was slowly breaking down. So maybe him retreating to where he was earlier made sense...?

Emily hastened and followed the footprints.
