More and more people began to arrive to the game - including a familiar face they hadn't caught up with in some time. Pax and Tone's relationship had begun on a rocky foot, but they had since managed to find common ground. However, time apart had meant they had not really kept in touch, but at least there was no hostility remaining.

"Maria, it's great to see you," they smiled amicably. "I am doing well, thank you, and I hope the same for you. The hair colour suits you. Luca, and Sofia, it's great to see you as well."

As they engaged in polite conversation, they noticed their date arrive out of the corner of their eye, and, in all honestly, Pax lost focus on the conversation at hand. The monochromatic outfit really suited Della, and her silvery platinum hair complimented the style well, and Pax couldn't help but grin and admire how well she could pull off this decade's clothing.

"Giovanni. I could say the same to you," they humoured her, taking a sip of their drink. It helped them to stay in character, they were finding. "Here's to hoping tonight goes well."

As more entered the room, Vito (or as their character was known for the game) seemed to draw Pax's attention, especially with his openly pointed comment towards Luca. Was that suspicious, not necessarily - everyone could have various in-character opinions of each other, but the fact he had been so open out led to Pax quietly making a mental note of the comment. But he wasn't the only one - there were others seemingly being cautious. This game was going to be harder than Pax initially thought.

Soon enough, the lights went out, and Pax could only wait quietly, hoping they wouldn't be the target. Luckily for them, they weren't, but it had to be someone, and that someone would be Tone Maria. Thankfully, he'd lived to tell the tale.

When Noah revealed the suspect was none of us, Pax tried to conceal their confusion. "Well, it's good to see that nobody's dead," they commented. "Though a shame about your arm, Maria."

With a slight pause, they surveyed the room. Nothing appearing too out of place, but nobody had yet to speak up. "I suppose we ought to get the awkward part out of the way then. Is there anyone here that has anything against Maria? Or, Maria, can you think of any reason people would have to want to get rid of you? It's the logical place to start our investigation, right?"

The first round started, lights going off and a bullet being shot. Alessio looked around and noticed that Maria had been shot. Oh well, she probably deserved it for everything she had done in the past, but he knew he should be looking at her like he would look at Lorelai if she was injured. So, he managed to look slightly concerned.

When the lights went out again, Maria was healed, but apparently she did not know how to keep her mouth shut, and SHE had no problem with revealing her role. Alessio knew he would put himself at risk if he revealed his own role, but he was not a thief or a killer, and Maria had no right to accuse him of either.

"Yeah, right, I did glare at you. You want me to reveal to you why? It's because you're one hell of a liar and you don't even hesitate to lie to the police. If you did not spend so much time assuming that I, a person with a fairly good reputation and enough money to buy 100 of your stupid milk bottles stole one of them, then maybe you would find your real thief. But you can't ever not lie, can you? For all we know, you shot yourself and played the victim card so we would all believe someone else was the killer. And you didn't even stop there. You had the guts to say that I shot you. On what grounds? A glare?"

Even though the "speech" was kind of long, it was all true enough. Alessio knew how Maria actually was, and he knew that Maria knew his role well enough. She had lied to him, after all. Despite that, she seemed to be more than ready to blame him, wanting to take him out of the game so her secrets wouldn't come out. He wouldn't want her to die, but he was not going out this easily.

The lights went out and there was a terrible scream. When they turned back on, "Maria" was patched up and not dead. "Carlos" took the lead in the investigation and started questioning "Maria." Della thought this was a smart move, but it really wasn't in character to announce this to the group.

But the investigation quickly took a left turn—"Maria" was crying about stolen milk. She claimed "Alessio" had stolen some from her shop, and "Alessio" in turn was accusing "Maria" of shooting herself. Della as Giovanni attempted to calm down the situation.

"Well this seems to be escalating quickly. Even if Alessio stole the milk, would that make him a killer? The crimes seem far from each other in terms of severity. But Maria shooting herself also seems like a stretch. Maybe the real killer knew about the vendetta between you two and is trying to distract us."

Della turned to survey the quieter members of the group. It would be easy to think those causing a scene would be the prime suspects, and maybe that easy thinking was what the killer was counting on. Her eyes narrowed on one person, @Elizabeth Stonewall, a girl who hadn't introduced herself and was sitting in the corner reading.

With an acknowledgement from his classmate who went straight to reading, Kaito swirled the drink in his hand. He planned on not taking any more sips, but occupying himself was probably the only thing he could do. After the last entrant, the lights died down and he heard shuffling, but his hearing wasn’t good enough to pick up more than that. When everything was over, one of the older students was the target and it sounded like the group didn’t come to a consensus on voting. Someone from his house took the lead on questioning the victim, and Kaito found this suspicious. Controlling the investigation sounded like the perfect way to throw the scent off you.

But things took a turn as the victim, Maria accused Alessio. This started an in-real-life exposition dump and Kaito watched on, dumbfounded. These people got into their roles really well. But another member of his house spoke sense.

“Yes, being targeted because someone stole milk from you is a stretch, though I’d like to hear more about Maria lying to the police,” he added. He did believe in his words that Alessio was not to blame, but when an accusation was so cut and dry, it made it hard to look anywhere else. The grudge seemed strong between them, so it was even possible that Maria could have shot herself to cast blame on Alessio. Luca and his reading classmate were silent on the matter and Kaito wondered if that was their nature or on purpose to avoid being sussed out.

Reuben looked at Maria, an incredulous look on his face. Gods, she was good at making stuff up. Reuben decided that it was time to reveal who he was. He held up his Detective badge for Maria to see. "Maria, please calm down", he said in the way an annoyed detective would. Is using his calming presence

"You cannot possibly accuse me both of stealing a MILK bottle and buying PEOPLE while continuing to be rational. If I really had to buy people, do you really think I would trouble myself to steal your milk? Why not just buy it? Ever thought about that? NO. All you want to do is lie and keep me from revealing what you've done."

"Fine, maybe you didn't shoot yourself. Then the question arises, who did? Who wanted to make sure you were either dead or badly hurt?" He still thought that Maria might have shot herself, but he was going to look at other suspects too. After all, no investigation had only one suspect.

That was the time when two others interrupted, Giovanni and Vito. They seemed to think the real murderer wanted to turn Maria and Alessio against each other to conceal their own identity. That seemed to be a pretty logical move, but it did nothing to explain why Maria was getting so defensive.

Finally, the question about Maria lying to the police came up, and Alessio had to smile at how the girl tried to cover it up. "Maria, you and me both know that you're lying yet again. But, maybe you've had a memory loss and forgot how you had lied to me during a very important investigation when you were the only one I really trusted. Would you like to educate our fellow companions on that incident, or would you like me to do it, then accuse me of lying like you always do?", he asked calmly.

As Reuben, getting into this role was not as hard as he had thought it would be. It was actually quite fun. Maria then went ahead and said that she wanted to be good at convincing others, just like Alessio. "You need to learn that to convince others, you must convince them of the truth, and not the many lies you weave. Convincing people of true things is much easier because they actually have proof that you're right. Maybe you should learn to do that."

Sure, there was an attempted murder last round and no one eliminated but that wouldn't stop Noah from failing to continue playing the game. He brought up his hands and slammed it onto the cold wall as hard as he possibly could several times. Lights out. Several minutes would pass but Noah wouldn't hear a single shot out of the gun. Drats.

Well, he would turn on the lights regardless. He looked around, no bullet to be found. He walked around each person, trying to see if they had attempted to hide a bullet in their pocket, but he couldn't see one.

Well, guess there were no murders this round.

But there was a death coming. And it was an unfortunate one. "So guys, you were supposed to have 8 votes that would count to start off with but two did not show up so the count for the votes went down to six. I got three votes for Reuben and that is half of the current Voting Pool. Unfortunately, this means you are eliminating your sole detective, your possible chance of winning."

Noah gestured for Reuben to come up as he pulled a retractable prop dagger out from his back pocket and he stabbed them in the chest.

"Alright. You don't have a detective now."

Notice
Every mod post, you will notice that the light goes out every time there is a murder. The light stays out for 1 minute to allow the murderer to conceal the weapon in some way and to avoid suspicion. When the light goes out, you'll hear a bang from the nerf gun and if you feel yourself getting shot with a foam bullet, you have been killed. You may lay down on the ground and play dead. You may find a funny pose to be in, whatever. When the light goes back on, a vote will be held to accuse someone of the murder.

I've been accused of a murder! What do I do?
Well dearie, you would've been considered "executed" if the majority votes you as murderer. This means that you are out. The game is over when all of the players are dead except for the detective and murderer, or when the murderer has been accused and executed.

How do I vote?
Every round, you need to send me an owl of who you're voting or accusing. Additionally you MUST post otherwise your vote will be seen as invalid.

I did not post for a round or more, what happens? (if you don't send me your vote but post, it's okay, don't worry about it.)
The murderer will likely kill you the next round.

I'm the murderer! What happens now?
Post each round. Send me your target via owl. In Character, when the lights go out, you can pull out your nerf gun and shoot your target. You will have the rest of the minute to hide the gun or conceal it.

I'm the detective! What happens now?
Post each round. Send me your accused victim via owl. You cannot be killed.

I'm a doctor! What happens now?
Post each round. Send me your accused victim via owl. There will be a second blackout in the mod post in where you will have a CHANCE of healing the shot victim.

I was a shot victim! I was healed!
Good for you, you may continue in the game. However, one of your limbs have been ic AMPUTATED so in roleplay, you would not have that limb because the doctor amputated the shot limb.

What if I have to leave Out of Character and I'm the Murderer or a Doctor or a Detective?
That's fine, just please notify us at some point. We will owl another person and give them an additional "title" for their character that they are already playing. For example: Baker is now Murderer but still the same character, you don't gain another. When it comes to a detective and a doctor, unfortunately, we won't pass it on. The game continues until its over.

Please note: We are taking actions via owl so that actions and votes are anonymous to keep the mystery. What you choose to say or do in your post whether ooc or ic can be used against you so do your best to keep your "secret" role anonymous. If you are a detective or a murderer it can be used against you if you say it out loud. We suggest coming up with an undercover job to conceal the fact. Not required, you could be vague, but what you say and do whether oc or ic can be used against you.

It didn't take long for Pax's suggestion to quickly blow up in their face, with Maria and Alessio's conflict quickly escalating into what seemed essentially like a full blown shouting match. Despite that, Pax had to hold back a slight smile (though if anyone looked carefully, a glimpse would peek through) at all of the ruckus and chaos they had caused. It had been so long since they had revelled in chaos.

But back to business. There was a role to play, a character to uphold. Giovanni and Vito had done their best to quiet the conflict, but tensions were still flared, and there were still others yet to speak. However, darkness would soon fall, and there was little else that could be done aside from sit with the newfound chaos and potential truths that had emerged.

Once Noah had revealed the severity of the decision that had been mode, Pax pursed their lips in frustration. Finally, Sofia would step forwards and speak up, posing an idea.

"I'm sorry, vote better?" Pax raised an eyebrow. They meant no aggression or anger towards the poor girl, but the game was getting to them. "I think we're doing our best, are we not? At least, I am. And whilst I have nothing against sharing, how do we know that people won't lie?"

Narrowing their eyes slightly towards Sofia, Pax decided to humour them. "For someone so concerned about secrets, yours doesn't seem to be so surprising. But if you must know, I have been doing some writings for the local paper. Does that satisfy your need for secrets, Sofia?"

Composing themself, they took a breath and took another sip of their drink. "I apologise for my outburst," they nodded towards the young girl. "Perhaps... I was quick to dismiss your ideas."

Scanning the rest of the room, their eyes landed back on Giovanni, Luca Vito, whose secrets they still had yet to share. "Would any of you care to share?"
