Karina wandered through the hall, making her way to the Rehearsal room, she was luck enough to find it empty. Karina wasn't going to get into trouble because she saw students waling in here all of the time, and besides, she was practicing her homework. This was one of her 1st assignments, she was very excited.
Karina took out her wand. She was going to work on some spells. She also brought many books, which she set down on the floor. She opened her 1st book; The Standard Book of Spells, Grade 1, and flipped to the spell she wanted to work on first.
wing-GAR-dee-um leh-vee-OH-sa. How on Earth do I say that?
That's right, Karina wanted to work on the Levitation Charm. She set a feather in front of her, and looked back to her Levitation Charm page. The wand movement wasn't difficult. Just a 'swish and a flick'.

She took a deep breath, and with all her wish and hope, she said; Wingardium Leviosa.
The feather didn't lift, Karina hadn't mastered the spell yet, and was quite upset about it. Well, she had never used this kind of magic before, and to be honest, this was one of her few times using her wand.
After that upsetting moment, she moved onto her next spell. It was another charm. Karina flipped to the. Karina snapped the feather, with her hands and decided to practice repairing it. Karina set her wand down and picked up the book, quickly looking for a repairing charm.
Ah! There it is. The Mending Charm. reh-PAH-roh. Okay, I'm ready now.
Karina read the wand movement, and repeating the word in her mind, she prepared for the charm.

Reparo! Karina shouted, and with that, the feather was good as new. She decided to look back into her book. Putting her wand away, she read a second-year charm; Diffindo.
The vase across the hall, split in two. Someone must have been running across the hallway, because there were loud stomps! Now there was a broken vase, and what if people thought she was the one who broke it? She ran to the vase, it was broken alright. She had to hurry before a professor came in.
Suddenly, Karina heard footsteps. She sprinted to the book, lifted her wand, and shouted; Reporo! . There was a moment of silence. Nothing happened. Karina looked back into the book, misreading it the first time, she corrected her mistake; Reparo!
Just then the doors flung open. It was a professor. He didn't look mad. He noticed that Karina was working on an assignment, and crept out of the room quietly, smiling.
Karina was relieved, she wasn't in trouble. I mean, why would she be? She fixed the vase, and she didn't cause any mischief. But before anything else broke, Karina collected all of her things, and left. Looking back at the vase, one last time.
