The First Encounter

Magical sports meant everything to Kyra because for generations their family joined every type of sport that Hogwarts had to offer. The first chance she got, Kyra signed up for every sport possible, hoping to one day join any of the teams. She knew that being on a team meant that she would have to interact with others, which was something Kyra was not looking forward to. The thought alone made her queasy, so she decided to get some fresh air outside the castle. She grabbed their Slytherin robe, tossed it on, and walked out of the dorm to make their way outside. Before leaving the dorm, Kyra grabbed the Nimbus 1700 and finally exited the room.
As the young Slytherin girl made it to the grounds, it was a short walk to the quidditch stadium and if she knew better, today the teams didn’t have any practice. This means it will be quiet and peaceful, leaving her time to think about not only the future but also the past that continues to haunt Kyra daily. The loss of her parents only brought the young girl into a long spiral through life. The constant pain and reminder that they were killed and the person who did it was still out there.
Before she knew it, Kyra’s little feet walked so fast that when she looked up for the first time in a while the stadium was right there. A warm smile stretched across her face and the thought of some time to think was much needed, so Kyra continued on until she made her way up to the stands, sat her broom down on the row of seats in front of her, and she finally sat down with a long sigh of relief. ”Finally.” She whispered. The view from where she was sitting had her smiling again. The trees, open grasslands, wild animals, and Hogwarts itself stood out with amazement. It was something she never really paid attention to until now.

Sports had never been much of an interest to Luka, even magical sports didn't have an appeal to him. But he disliked people more than sports so he decided to go out to the Quidditch stadium, away from the busy and loud Hogwarts castle. It was a rather chilly and windy day and the blond boy didn't see much reason to put effort into his outfit, my outfit should match the school, so it should be tasteless and boring. He threw on a black hoodie and grey ripped jeans and ran his hands through his hair a few times, "Good enough," he mutters as he looks in the mirror. He grabbed a random book out of his bag and began walking to the Quidditch stadium on the Hogwarts grounds.
As Luka walked to the stadium, he inspected the book he had grabbed. It was a worn out paperback copy of the novel by Nikolai Gogol, Dead Souls. He'd borrowed it from his grandfather's study before the beginning of the school year, it was one of his grandfather's favorite books so he obviously just had to read it. He grimaced when the wind hit him as he opened the cover of the book. There was a message written in his grandfather messy handwriting:
(note is in Russian)A faint smile grew on Luka's face as he read the note left for him. I suppose letters aren't his style, he thinks amusedly.Luka,
I’ve had this copy of Deal Souls for over fifty years, take good care of it and enjoy your first year at Durmstrang. I hope you make a few friends, my boy.

Luka walked up the stairs of the Hogwarts Quidditch stadium stands. The wind grew slightly stronger the higher he went. Close to the top of the stands, he saw a girl seemingly around his own age with a broom. Curious as to why she planned to go flying in the current weather, the young Russian boy decided to approach her.
He sighed softly to himself as he went up the rest of the steps to the girl at a leisurely pace. Finally reaching the level that the girl was at, Luka walked over to her until he was roughly four feet from her. He considered the girl for a moment, inspecting her appearance. She had light skin and piercing blue eyes, but what caught his attention the most was the rather large scar across her face. "Hm..." he hummed, not caring to pretend he's not staring.
After a few moments off silence he met the girl's gaze, his expression blank. "You plan to fly in this weather? Wind's a bit strong, don't you think?" Luka says, his Russian accent changing his "th's" into "z's" and his "w's" into "v's". He ran a hand through his blond hair, waiting for her response.

The First Encounter

Kyra was enjoying the view from the stands within the Quidditch Stadium and this would allow her to finally have some peace, or so that is what the young girl thought. A boy was spotted below, walking up through the stands and making their way towards Kyra. She was nervous as always since she wasn’t very social. The young girl grabbed a random book as fast as she could, then pretended to read it before the boy would make it to where Kyra was currently sitting.
With the wind picking up slightly, Kyra felt the pages begin to flap away with the pages swinging back and forth. ”Why does this always happen to me?!” She muttered quietly while fixing the pages so they wouldn’t whip around from the wind. It was annoying, to say the least, and Krya was trying so hard to have a good day, but the weather and every other natural thing is trying to plot against her.
As the boy finally approached Kyra, she peeked her head out from the book, then placed it on her lap gently, and couldn’t help but to smile at how attractive Luca was. Kyra didn’t really have a type, but she tended to enjoy someone who shared things in common with her. Whether or not they would, Kyra listened to what Luca said and she looked down at the broom for a second before returning their attention to the boy. ”Yeah, I really don’t know what I was thinking. I really came out here to enjoy the peace and quiet. Sometimes that is extremely hard to do here.” She let out a chuckle while tapping away at the book nervously.
