Under the New Moons Guise
Time: 21:00

The new moon was high in the sky by the time the Hogwarts Express had stopped. And Azzure watched as one by one the once bustling train started to become empty as people started to trickle out of the train. Azzure however chose to stay. Night was one of the only time she could look up into the sky, and tonight, it seemed like the stars're shining a bit brighter than usual. 'A new moon...' Azzure noted in her mind, its face casting a soft shadow on the ground as it stood high in the sky. A new moon... A new beginning, a new chapter of her life. was this an omen to come, or a message in disguise?
It was about 10 minuets later that Azzure finally disembarked from the train. By then most of the first years like her had already taken to the sea, their boats casting light to the inky waters like a sliver of light in the darkest night. If Azzure had brought her canvas' with her she swore she could spend a thousand years capturing this moment alone. However, much like everything in life, we flow in a river of fate, and sometimes, all it takes to make a change is to row a boat.
In the end, being the last one to get out of the train Azzure decided to take a boat alone. Socializing can wait another day, right now she was entirely too lazy and sleep deprived to care. "Time to oneself is not a crime." She said, repeating the words her mother once said to her in response to some twat of a pure-blood's snide remarks about Azzure being 'too pale,' As if thats a significant argument to anything. Really, some people can be so irritable. Honestly, if there was one thing that Azzure had learned about the world in her 11 years of life is that every stuck up person, is a person sho flaunts themselves like they're some kind of animal so rare that you can't help but gawk. Yet when you tell them they look weirder than a seal with zebra stripes they get all mad as if you'd just killed their dog. But anyways, no matter how ignorant some children with money or power can be, living like a hermit and a loner for the whole year might not be the best idea either.
However, he was snapped out of his thoughts by the sound of a bell ringing on the other side of the lake. 'They've already reached the shore.' Azzure thought to herself, a small smile appearing on her face as she faintly heard the exited murmurs and squeals of the first years, people like her who will probably make or break her entire year. All of a sudden a rush of positivity and motivation shot through Azzure's whole body at the prospect of having this new life, this new beginning, to be able to live among people her age. It was exilirating. With a little more pep in her step, Azzure managed to catch up with the last of the boats as she docked on the bay of Hogwarts.
The castle loomed over her, its shadow casting a mean look at the new first years that walked towards the front door, but under the guise of this moonless night, everything suddenly felt a little bit more dooable. And even if she were to fail at first impressions, or lead with the wrong foot; a star doesn't stop shining because the sun is brighter than it during the day, for the real work happens when no one is looking, and true growth takes place under the gaze of the night sky.
