High noon had struck and although Lemmy had found his school work to be quite fascinating, the grumble in his belly was something that must be attended to. When the clock sounded his little legs scurried off to the Great Hall for a well deserved lunch. The sheer pleasure that was meal times at Hogwarts was something he still could not quite get over. Piles of his favorite foods laid out for him everyday? Fortunately his youthful metabolism was able to keep up with his almost unending appetite. Lemmy's grandmother would have tutted and scolded him for how he wolfed down his lunch, but it did leave him with another half hour to kill before classes resumed. What better way to kick off digestion than some fresh air!

"Pardon me. On your left. Hey! There's small folk down here!" Lemmy's body was tiny, but his presence was often undeniable as he made his was through the Small Hall and out the grand doors on his way to the courtyard. The waft of fresh air that hit his face only further energized him as he stood atop the steps that led down to the famous stone laden common area. However, just then a lovely white butterfly zipped just across his line of sight. Lemmy's eyes danced around as he followed its movement and oh what a joy it would be to hold onto it for a while. They would soon be gone with autumn just around the corner. With a bit of a hop he began to try and gently scoop it in his hands, but it alluded him. Down one step he went and then another as he tried. The scrape of his shoe against the edge of the last step was the last he heard before his world spun upside down.

Lemmy tried to gain his footing as he fell forward, but gravity was unforgiving and he threw his arms out as he fell down the last few steps. A moment of shock would overwhelm him as his body made harsh contact with the stones below. Scraped hands would flex open and closed, his elbow would surely be bruised, but it was his knee that had taken the brunt of the impact. As he tentatively rolled over his eyes would look down to see the fabric of his pants ripped and bloodied flesh revealed as his knee was cut. "Oww." Lemmy claimed through trembling lips as tear filled eyes looked around for aid.

Reyna was sitting on a bench writing in her notebook jotting ideas for a new book of hers. It was a romance, a new genre that she had found interesting to write about now that she was of the age to be romantically attracted to someone.
She already had her eyes on someone. Although she had not thought about this certain someone who she had not seen in ages for a while. She pushed pass those thoughts in her head. Now was not the time. Not when she was in a good mood. Looking up into the sea of people in front of her she leaned back trying to get in the way.
She remember how overwhelming it was to be in that crowd in her first year. It was something. She noticed a tiny first year trying to wade his way through the crowd. She felt it. She was empathetic with that young boy. After all, that had been her 2 years ago.
As the boy tried to get out he fell right in front of her. She winced. Okay well that had never happened for her. She got up and knelt down beside the boy. "Hey there! Are you okay!" she asked. She held out her hand. "Come on, let's sit on the bench and I can help you out! Crowd's are quite overwhelming and it can be a bit difficult to navigate!" she added.
A thought went thorough her head. Would it be a bad idea to perform the bandaging charm on him to help ease the pain? She had just learned it though. She was not sure. For now she needed to help him up though. And introduce herself. "Sorry, I forgot to introduce myself. I'm Reyna Evergreen, third year Hufflepuff and a broomracer. And you are?"

Lemmy did his best to breath through the pain and although he knew he was not seriously injured, the sight of blood made him panic a bit. With his uninjured leg he attempted to scoot himself out of the way of the remaining crowd as they still swarmed around him. The whole situation threatened to completely overwhelm the young boy as the tears in his eyes began to spill over. However, fortunately for little Lemmy a helping hand would soon arrive. He looked up at the girl who knelt down beside him and just having someone there that was looking out for him immediately made him feel better. "Hello." His voice was a bit shaky at first, but he cleared his throat and shook off some of the panic. "I think I'll be alright. Just banged my knee top pretty good."

Lemmy didn't hesitate in taking her hand and allowing her to direct him to a nearby bench. Putting weight on the injured knee hurt slightly, but not enough to indicate any serious damage. Just a skinned knee. "Hi Reyna. I'm Lemmy. That crowd was a bit much. I thought I could make it through on my own, but I think I'm just too little maybe." The boy had grown used to being shorter than his peers, but being around some of the older students really made him feel small. "Anyways. That's cool that you're a broom racer. I don't know how well I'll do on a broom, but can't wait to try." The boy tried bending his knee again and winced at the pain. "Yikes, that stings. Do you think I should go to the Hospital Wing. I think I need a bandage for my knee."

She smiled, glad that the boy was going to be okay. She learned that the his name was Lemmy. He was tiny, probably why he had fallen in the crowd. She remembered when she had had similar experiences to him. After all, she had been tiny only a few years ago. She was still tiny "That's relatable. I felt that way when I was younger. At least, you tried, that's all that matters!" she said with a smiled to Lemmy. Hopefully that would cheer him up.
She remembered being afraid of older students as well. That's why she was so proud when she made it through her first year.
"You'll get used to it! Being on a broom, I mean. I believe in you!" she replied.
"I think you'll be just find Lemmy. Hold up, this might hurt for a second." she said. She pulled out her wand. "I'm just going to bandage the knee, it'll also take away the pain." she added. She wanted to make sure this was okay with Lemmy. "Is this okay with you? If not, I can take you to the hospital wing. If it helps, I'm currently a healer intern." she added
She did want to practice her spell on him, but she needed to make sure it was okay if she did. She didn't want to hurt this boy. No matter how much she wanted to practice the spell. This was why she asked.

Though his knee still stung and the fright of the fall still lingered in his belly, Lemmy couldn't help but to match Reyna's smile as she comforted him. Sometimes knowing that someone else had shared in your experience was all one needed to feel understood. That the experiences of attending school away from home and being surrounded by often much larger strangers was overwhelming for everyone at one point or another. The truth was that the skinned knee had been experienced many time in the clumsy young boy's life, but the tears had come with a mix of embarrassment and feeling alone in a time of need. Though he could not call out for a member of his family as he would have done at home, the fact that he now had someone looking after him was all the comfort he needed.

"I suppose I did try. Gave it a good shot if I must say." The shaky emotion that had gripped his voice before faded with every word as a hint of pride slipped past the self-consciousness. "At least when I'm on a broom I can just fly over all these giants that attend school here." A little giggle followed his words as he surely thought them funnier than they were. "Yes, please! Go right ahead, but perhaps after I will go to the nurse just to be safe." It may be a little intimidating to have someone perform magic on you that wasn't an adult, but he was excited to see her attempt the bandaging spell. He squinted his eyes and grimaced prematurely at the thought of something making contact with his injury. "Ok, ready." Lemmy summoned the courage.

Reyna smiled, as Lemmy said that she could bandage his knee. She prayed that it would work, for his sake and my sake. She needed practice, and she wanted to actually help someone, do something for real.
She grabbed her wand and said, "Ferula!" putting an emphasis on the "rool" part. She tapped Lemmy's knee. And it worked. The bandage appeared on his leg. "How's the leg feeling?" she asked. She was glad that it had worked and was feeling good.
"And I'll take you to the nurse now!" she said smiling. She helped Lemmy up, and then they walked towards the nurses office. Reyna felt accomplished. As a healer in training, she felt good, she had healed maybe her first patient.
As she approached the door to the Hospital Wing, she said her goodbye's to Lemmy. "Hope you're feeling better Lemmy and hopefully I'll see you around!" she smiled at him. She hoped he would one day get strong enough to feel confident walking through huge crowds on his own. For now, a little help would have to do.
And Reyna was that little help. She felt so good, that she had done a good deed for someone. And more than that, her spell had worked! Reyna would never take that feeling for granted.
