	As Alyssea took her lap, she listened out for Dan's commentary and kept an eye on any attacks. Just because she was temporarily out of the game, doesn't mean people wouldn't take their chance with her. Luckily, she lived to see yet another round. 50 points? 50 points! They were in the lead! "Nice going, Jess!" Sage called.

She tightened her grip on her broom and bat. Hopefully no bludgers would hit her this round, like one had brutally hit Roxette. "You good, Roxette?" she called to her teammate. On the other hand, no one had fallen off their broom that round, which was both a positive for her team, and a negative that Gryffindor still had a lot of their players. No offense to the lions, of course; Sage just really wanted to get out of the rain and back into the common room where it was warm.

A quick glance down towards the opposite end of the field yielded the pleasant sight of Jess scoring uncontested point after uncontested point. Redirecting her attention back towards more immediate issues, Avery sidles up alongside Sage to team up with a fellow beater once more. She offers her accomplice a quick smile before they combine forces to send another bludger towards the opposing team. Though their target sensed the impending danger and diverted out of the way, the captain was at least pleased to see everyone kept to their broom despite Roxette taking a heavy hit herself.

It could have been because of the rain, perhaps even the fact he’d been a little too focused on diving out of the way from a rather vicious attempt on Hufflepuff's side at knocking him outta the sky, or maybe, just maybe, it was because he was a little dizzy from being spun around and flung at high speeds towards the snitch by Erlea-

Who might he add, had done an amazing job despite all this magic forsaken rain…

But that was besides the point! The point was, whatever the reason, Elsian was doing a spectacular job at failing to catch the snitch. Diving down he tried his damnedest to reach and snatch the golden blur out of the air between gloved fingers but it effortlessly stayed just out of reach, twisting left and right and almost vanishing out of the corner of his eye as it darted away and forced him to swing his broom around with enough force and speed to make the rainy surroundings practically swim in his vision as he gave chase less he lose sight of the bloody thing for even a second!

It was likely the rain, he concluded, as he swept a flustered hand through his soaked hair to push away the strands plastered to his face. Probably messing with his depth perception or something because for all his usual troubles as a Seeker, this display wasn’t the usual.

I shouldn't have listened, Finnegan thought angrily. A pre-determined sign had indicated to him to switch tasks and watch the sky for teammates threatening to plummet toward the ground instead of chasing the quaffle. He supposed he should be thankful that no one was knocked off their broom, but was it worth the price? Hufflepuff's small spitfire, Jess, was given free reign to score, and score she did. Every one of her attempts found its mark whilst he circled around the pitch usually, guarding against a calamity that never happened.

Gritting his teeth, he jerked his broom handle to the right and pitched back into the fray.

Oogie was ready to prove herself and even though her first ever official attack on another team was a swing and a miss, it only made her more angry and more determined to cause a very bad concussion. A sport like that was not played right, if less than half the people ended up in the hospital wing. So her eyes narrowed and she was more ready than ever to prove herself right.

In the role of Beater, if an ALLY dodges a bludger during the round, there is a 20% chance that you catch that bludger with your bat and you send it at a RANDOM enemy target.

She knew in the long run that Hufflepuff scoring would be fine. If they could find and capture the snitch. Alley-ooping Elsian was a better play for that. It just grated on her a little that her first round as a keeper and she was to let the quaffle ball fly through the hoop and allow the other team to rack up even more points. She sighed. Get your head in the game Erlea. She would do whatever was necessary to win for her team and House.
