Private to Luna Choi!
Only a week had gone by since she left. That meant a month remained until the entrance of her third year and it seemed like years. So much had already happened, and new obligations were being placed on her like an adult. Dog walking and dishwashing seemed to be the equivalent of paying bills and working a full-time job and maybe even more. Life had gotten somewhat monotonous ever since the eagle left Hogwarts to officially begin her summer break. She woke up, brushed her teeth, got dressed, and constantly wandered around her house, eager for something to do like practice spells in her cousins Hogwarts textbooks. She had substantially demanded to walk the golden retriever.

Today was not the most desirable day to accompany a dog. The sun was beaming and from the moment she stepped foot out the vehicle to begin the walk, she knew it was going to be a pretty lengthy day and she wasn't going to be carrying the canine back to the car. The humidity in the atmosphere caused her usually frizzy hair to loll back, but a few rebelling strands could be seen almost everywhere. A slight breeze was the only thing preventing her from calling it a day and returning to her family who waited apathetically at the veterinarian. Yes, they had traveled to London for a mere dog. Her mother had the audacity to travel hours to London, to see the best of the best while her father was away doing whatever he did to dragons in Indonesia or Russia. There were plenty of veterinarians in Cambridge, but there was only one that transcended all of them and that appeared to be in London.

The deal was rather manageable. While the mom plus her younger cousin waited for their names to be called, she accompanied the pooch to discharge him of any stress. There was a certain rumor that pets became frightened and uneasy when it came to their yearly medical examination and her mother just didn't want to take the heat when the two-year-old pup began to run wild inside the office. Perhaps she could visit a friend just to make the struggle all worthwhile.

Looking from left to right, the teen glanced at a few of the Muggles passing by in cars on the streets. London was a large city and downtown was not any better. Still, she continued to walk on the sidewalk, keeping her head down as she presented her complete attention to the pup. Wagging its tail gleefully, it pulled on the collar, almost threatening to speed up on the narrow sidewalk. Emma passed parks, shops, and narrow alleyways she did not want to venture down. Sights of gigantic chocolate bars and gold flaked pizza caught her eye, but the only thing that kept her on her path was the 'No Pets' sign that was even bigger than the neon open sign.

A honk from down the street could be heard, provoking Emma's gaze to saunter in its direction. Compared to downtown London, she could deal with one blare from an impatient driver. Gripping the leash tighter, she looked behind her, a bystander standing by a payphone not too far away from her and a businesswoman outfitted with a lavish leather handbag. At least that's what she assumed, leather was expensive, right?

In a matter of seconds, the brunette found herself speedwalking at Archer's pace. Then running. It was tempting to simply plant her feet in the ground and prevent him from running anymore, but she couldn't possibly stop at this point. If she stopped, it was either herself or the canine that had the chance of being injured.. mostly the dog. Emma wasn't an exceptional runner, she could last a few minutes at a trot before taking a break and catching her breath. Just when she thought her speed couldn't be increased, the cracks in the sidewalk began to blur. Oh, fun.

Without hesitation, Emma unwrapped the leash from around her palm and abandoned it to catch her breath. Pushing a strand of hair from her face, she watched the dog race after another stray and leaned her weight against a metal face. Catching her breath was going to take a minute, and she couldn't use magic to track the hound and her father was nowhere to assist her. Brushing the dog hair off her clothes, trees began to cover the position of the retriever the farther he chased after the pup. Only a few remained, but she wasn't too worried about it. Next time, she would be staying at Hogwarts.

"Can't believe I am doing this stupid thing..." Luna mumbled while walking down on the street, the street of Muggles. The plain black work robe she bought back then as the school's supply was a good coat to cover her whole body, and whole face. She knew how much her hair attracted attention.

Those Muggles had a high chance to think she looked suspicious when she didn't show anything but her black shoes and coat. To he fair, the purple-haired girl didn't care about people talking about her, in the Muggle world or the Wizard one. Poor those humans didn't have anything better to do.

She didn't discriminate anyone or anything. The Slytherin Prefect just basically didn't want to waste her time to think about those. She could do much more interesting things than thinking about how bad Muggles were. The Slytherin Prefect had more important things to do, like... reading books or playing with her cat.

Instead of walking around and did this useless thing, she could have read more books to improve her knowledge. However, Oliver Choi, her precious little brother, asked her to do it. He was sick, but he wanted to know how Muggle's world looked like. He wanted her to wander around London's streets and described him how they looked like. Oliver didn't ask her to take pictures, maybe because he didn't want to see the views through some moving pictures.

Her parents were against this at first. It was understandable, based on the fact that they disliked Muggles. There was a high chance that this happened because of the way grandparents raised them when they were young.

Not to mention, Kokonut was still having her necklace. Although she had asked that girl to give it back to her bunch of times, the blond hair girl still refused to give it back to her. That was all Water Tap's fault, if that girl didn't show up, she would have been able to. She couldn't teleport back to her house directly as usual. The necklace was also a portkey while teleported her back to her house after all. The only way she could go back was walking on foot.

After realizing that, her father agreed with letting her go out. He realized his daughter spent too much time at home, and he couldn't accept it. He couldn't understand what happened in her first year at school. The girl who liked sports and nature was gone, he couldn't find the familiar daughter he used to play with. The girl now was like a copy version of her mother, but Luna didn't like showing emotion on her face.

She yawned, wondering if this was the right time to come back or not. She knew she had just come here, but this place was just too boring. Maybe she should visit the library. Though, what Oliver wanted to know was the views, not the books. Not to mention, there were probably more interesting books at her manor.

When she was still looking around, the girl heard small footsteps behind her. Pretty light and fast, like from a little kid. That was strange, in the area that she was walking, there was no one around. This place seemed like abandoned, or a secret place. Maybe there was a kid who was curious and wanted to explore this place. Kids like that were just pains for parents and people around them.

Instead of turning around, the girl just decided to keep walking. And now, lying on the street with a dog kept licking from her chin to the cheek, she regretted it. If she turned around back then, wouldn't she be able to dodge it? "...Idiot dog, get off me..." She mumbled, trying to push this small thing off her. This one was a small dog, but Luna was not strong either. This idiot dog just didn't want to get off her for an unknown reason...

After a minute or two of catching her breath, Emma got to her feet and proceeded in the direction her hound trailed off. Her desire to find the pooch wasn't high. London was a broad place and it was only luck that she spotted the dog without using magic. Even if she could use magic, she was on her own, plus it was breaking the rules and she wasn't too fond about breaking Ministry rules. Not only did she not possess the proper spells, but all reliability was invested into her little cousin or her father who was countries away. The probabilities were not very great.

Being half-blood, the brunette didn't mind standing out in the Muggle world, but it would have been a lie to say that she preferred it more than Hogwarts. Every once in a while, it felt nice to escape magic and see the world for what it really was; filled with Muggles. Seeing how they interacted, performed, and swindled each other gave her a sense of pride. Everything could be countered by magic even lies which had no magical aspect whatsoever. Here it was different, and it was one of the things she respected.

It was simple to overlook her for a typical person alternatively than a witch. A loose turquoise tank top swayed in the light breeze and her denim jeans did its best to absorb any radiation it could, heating up both her skin and her wand. Her hair hung messily at her shoulders like it usually did, but one glimpse at her said something had unmistakably changed. Whether it was the augmentation in hair or the several inches she had grown, there was nothing different to her.

Emma wasn't the most responsible person, but she could prove herself when given the right opportunity. This, however, wasn't right. She had managed to lose a golden retriever in less than five minutes and she had no idea where in London it was. That is if it was still in London. There was no way he traveled far in a matter of two minutes, but negative thoughts continued to pester her mind until it was interrupted by the melody of a stringed trio with the addition of a bronze flute that caught her eye. Street performers were amazing and she wasn't the only one who had the same thought. A dozen individuals stood across the street with phones withdrawn. Muggles were wondrous, but still not enough to distract her for long.

Keeping her cynical thoughts, the teen continued to wander. If she was fortunate, perhaps the veterinarian office would be occupied or she'd find the doggo before they were summoned. IF she was lucky. There was always the slightest chance of being abducted or even worse, being grounded the entire summer for losing the dog. The 45-minute parent speech was something she couldn't also neglect to attach to the list. For her sake and sanity, she had to find it.

She crossed street after street and might have jaywalked without noticing, but she was too distraught to notice. Nothing escaped her eye. Vehicles, workshops, streets, and alleyways weren't to be unchecked. The only thing on her mind was getting to the canine before anything else could locate her. Turning her head in each and every direction, she mentally groaned and began to envision the conversation with her mother. I gave you one thing to do.

With her hands swinging wildly by her side, Emma turned the corner and peered down the abandoned street she didn't want to venture. However, for the sake of her mission, she sauntered down it, a fear of the unknown developing at an alarming rate. She was naturally ready for someone familiar to leap out and frighten her. This was no place for a Sunday stroll.

While the hustle and bustle of the streets behind her sounded, it made the lane look like a ghost town or at least one of those Walking Dead scenes. She was ready to turn away until she heard the struggling voice of a female. Inching her way towards the girl, she heard a faint panting noise and revealed herself from the shadows. In the streets, a purple-haired girl fought off a small golden retriever pup that belonged to Emma herself. Quickly, she jogged to the scene and hauled the pooch off her body, holding it in one arm. Another arm was busy scratching its ears.

"You've got a little..." The Ravenclaw pointed to the dog and then to her clothes. "Uhm, are you alright?" While she didn't have much time for chitchat, it was at least her responsibility to ensure the girl was alright no matter how out of place she seemed.

"Do you think I am fine?" Luna looked at the girl who had just arrived, asked with a cold tone. To be fair, her tone had always been like this, so saying that it was cold wasn't true with Luna. It should be 'asked with her normal tone'. Yes, she felt pretty annoyed about the dog. Well, would you or would you not feel annoyed when you were already in a bad mood and something suddenly showed up and annoyed you more?

However, that did not mean that she had to show how she felt to others. She was not sure why people like showing their emotions. First of all, it was tiresome. Smiling and crying, just a waste of time. Not to mention, after crying, you would only feel tired. Second, letting people knew how you felt was... not good. Just not good at all. They might get you, at being got was not fun.

The girl who had just come had to be this dog's owner. It seemed like she tried to chase the dog, but failed. When this girl came, she was not glad or felt happiness. What she felt was only more annoyed, because it seemed like the owner of this dog was not young at all. How irresponsible of her.

The lavender haired girl pulled the dog off her. When she held it in her hand, she tried her best not to throw it into the other girl. Or actually, nevermind. When the thought of throwing the dog passed her head, Luna immediately did it. The thing was, she couldn't find a reason not to do that. That also meant there was no reason for her to hesitate.

"How does that feel? I am sure you are 'fine'. Maybe you even like that? After all, this was your dog, wasn't it?" Although she was using her normal voice, her eyes were saying that she was mocking the other girl. She knew that she lacked strength, so there was no reason for her to try not to put too much strength on it.

Although this girl was the first Muggle, or that's what she thought, she talked with. However, she had no interested in having a good relationship with Muggles. Not that she wanted to have a good relationship with any wizards anyway. There was no reason for her to try to a good relationship with people who didn't belong to her family.

Just because I said you were bad does not mean that I am mean. It shows that I am honest.

"Calm down, crybaby. He likes you. Where are your parents?" Emma scoffed, allowing the dog to skip around her. Scanning up and down the abandoned alleyway for a couple with typical colored hair and her eyes settled upon her outfit. Never in a million years would she be discovered wearing a coat during the summertime. She could hardly breathe with her loose tank top on, but she was still calming down from the quarter of a mile run.

She didn't understand the problem. Her problem. Was it possible to use reparo on a person? Not a flash of guilt or compassion appeared on the impolite girl and she was beginning to believe she ran away from home. Whether it was some social personality disorder or the disturbance provoked by Archer, she couldn't wait to never see her again.

Watching as the golden retriever bobbed up and down on the ground barking happily, a small simper caressed her features, but it was immediately lost at the sight of the canine in the girl's arms. Suspended in her spot, there was certainly nothing she could do. It was impracticable to pull the hound from her grip without harming him. Something told her she was a headstrong girl, well, she knew judging by her personality. It just seemed to fit her. Without warning the pup became airborne, but it didn't last long. Extending her arms to catch him before he hit the ground, she clenched her jaw and fur came into contact with her hands.

"Soft, thanks for asking. Not mine; family's pet." The Ravenclaw snapped back, intertwining the leash around her hand once more. Looking down at the puppy in her arms, she checked for any signs of injury, but all she could find was a cracked nail and a few scratches trapped in his coat. Nothing more than the ordinary.

The teen scoffed, her words adding poison to her situation. She was already in big trouble, the last thing she wanted to hear was some lecturer in a child's body. Biting back her words, she exhaled deeply and narrowed her eyes at the abnormal girl as if a nametag were hidden somewhere on her body. There were tons of people that died their hair, but she looked no older than the brunette with locks filled with the purple hue.

"Mental," Emma said out loud, in fact, a bit louder than usual. She repeated herself, setting the canine down on the ground. "Where are your parents? Actually, want to start off by explaining your problem?"
