Gryffindor V Hufflepuff: Match 6
Theodore was seeing red, his vision tunneled and his mind consumed by violence. He raised his wand and bellowed "Rictumsempra!" but his aim fell afoul. The jet of silver light darted passed Nico and collided with the wooden furniture of the arena. He had one moment to throw out an expletive before being jinxed by the dancing feet spell. He stumbled around for a brief moment, trying not to fall over. "Is that all you can conjure, Hufflepuff. A cheap party tri-" He was silenced mid sentence as a white jet of light impacted his chest. His entire body went stiff and he fell down on his front, his wand still clutched in his petrified hand.

Saturday 26 October, 2024..."IT'S TIME FOR THE SECOND ROUND, LESGOOOO!!!" Prat shouted as the next round began, hoping to see exhilarating plays from both sides as the game continued. The round however, much to his dismay was rather less active in comparison to it's predecessor. With one of the each team's duellist deciding to not even attempt a spell. Was this just battle nerves or conserving stamina. Perhaps a leap in their trains of thoughts which seemed to be infective as it spread to another hufflepuff, Violet who decided on the best course of action. To stand still and do nothing.
Things were much more productive on the Gryffindor side as Theo, the lad previously dancing salsa before being paralyzed broke free. Indeed an accomplishment his team shall enjoy the efforts of with time. Serenade on the other hand was still going strong as she cast a perfect Flipendo on the monumentally standing Violet by the puffs side. Sending her back flying as Prat went on to check on the poor badger while witnessing the game from his peripherals. Making sure she was still in the game before taking his attention towards Emily, perhaps the saving grace of badger for the round as she cast Incendio on sere, setting her aflame for the round.
This game seemed on track to be one for ages as Prat's first one moderating, one he may go on to tell tales about.

Siobhan blinked and watched as Theo regained his ability to move and Sere smack one of the Puffs with a nicely cast Flipendo. She looked at her wand and realized she’d been so out of it that the round had past. Well it was ok- She would be able to send something stronger now that she had saved her energy from the previous round.
She could see that with the three of them avaliable to duel now instead of Theo being frozen on the floor, they might have a great shot at taking the lead in the next round considering all of them were up and more or less unscathed.
She mulled over her spells in her head trying to find a good one in her brain, something strong, something she could do successfully- and quickly

Date : October 26th, 2024 Color code : Written|Thought|Said Sere's vision was still blurry because of the green light on the previous round so a spell with orange light could came and hit her without her being able to avoid it. Owh, Incendio this time. Who -exactly- was targeting me all the time?! I couldn't see that person at all!
Sere blinked her eyes to get her vision back and when she managed to get it she could see Theo had successfully freed himself from that petrified-thingy while Siobhan was stood still, seemed to confuse about how was everything going. "We're fine. Don't worry."
Sere then cast her spell, "Flipendo!" It went smoothly. The girl prepared herself for the next round.WC : 112/50

Theo took a few deep breaths as he lay face down on the arena floor. He concentrated with all his willpower as if attempting to stop imaginary hiccups. With a tremendous shout he rolled onto his back and jumped onto his feet with a bizarre burst of athleticism. The time for talking and taunts were over, he was quick to raise his wand again. His expression sharp and concentrated, he peered over at his allies, giving them communicative looks as they began to cast again in unison.

Probably not the safest spell for Emily's standards, but after that initial fire it appeared that anything goes when it came to duelling. She watched out of pride and surprise as it worked, and thankfully (for Emily's sanity) Sere wasn't alit in flames. Her rival could believe it or not but Emily would've felt bad if that happened.
Nevertheless, another "Sorry..." came quietly from Emily's mouth. She wasn't used to this. Though it became clear what she would have to do. The chipping game could only work so long before her opponents would catch on, and it was becoming clear that her teammates needed all the help they could get, no matter how pacifistic Emily actually was, so it was time for Emily to think quickly before her chances would be lost.

He couldn't afford to start spacing out, not here not now. Were the nerves from earlier back? He needed to take a breath and get his head back in the game, merlin only knows what would happen if he didn't. He joined the team to have fun and be an asset to his house, not some deadweight. Taking a breath and shaking his head Nico adjusted his grip on his wand. Readying himself to cast and doge out of the way if necessary.
