History/Background Story:
Katerina is a muggleborn witch who looks upon the world with a never ending sense of awe and wonder. She can be timid at times, and tends to rely heavily on the one or two friends that she trusts the most, especially in social situations. Despite this, however, she is also a warm and caring person, and tries to be helpful in whatever ways she can. Unfortunately, because of her naivety, she can be an easy target for those with impure intentions.

Kat loves animals and plants, and can often be found out in nature, lost in her own thoughts. She has a habit of running her fingers across the surfaces around her, whether it be the velvety softness of a plants petals or the bite of a rough stone wall. It grounds her in a world that often seems so mystical.

Katerina Wren Lavelle is an only child to two muggle parents who have always doted on her. She had a very fulfilling childhood, full of museum visits and walks through the Hyde Park Rose Gardens. She went to an all-girls primary school where, though perhaps of only average intelligence, her teachers had only positive things to say about her gentle demeanor. She occasionally had problems with bullies, and thus spent most of her time with her best friend, Charlotte. Charlotte was a part of a well-to-do family that had a particular interest in keeping the peace for her daughter. Outside of school, she and Charlotte would spend time too with Charlotte's twin brother Everett.

First Instance of Magic:
Katerina's first instance of magic occurred one day when she was walking the short distance home from primary school at the age of six. She was following her usual path along a small, private stream, tucked away from the main path, when she noticed a small amount of litter floating alongside her. Kneeling by the edge of the stream, she stretched her little hand out as far as she could, trying to retrieve the trash, to no avail. Sighing, Katerina gave up on her mission and continued on her way, still worried that some innocent animal would be hurt because of someone's carelessness. But, as she turned to walk away, she saw the trash rise up out of the water, only an inch or so, and on to the bank of the stream. Pleased that she didn't have to abandon her quest after all, Katerina picked up the litter and deposited it in the nearest waste bin, content that no animals would be harmed because of it.
