As Tracey waited for a reply from Meiyu, she saw another girl, possibly first year, walk up to them and ask Meiyu if she knew what the homework was. Now, Tracey did take Herbology last year, but she forgot what the homework was, but she also has to do second year homework, but she had already finished that.

Tracey just simply listened to what Meiyu was saying to the girl while Tracey was wondering what she should say herself. Tracey looked at the girl again and noticed that she's seen her in the common room before.

"Hello, Avis! I've seen you in the common room before! How are you liking Ravenclaw and Hogwarts so far? Ah, Herbology homework, I finished mine first thing, but I'm a second year, a lot different, well, not really. I honestly forgot what the homework was last year, sorry! Avis, I was just telling Meiyu about my kitten Tiger, would you like to meet him too? He's really friendly," Tracey says smiling at her fellow Ravenclaw.

Tracey wanted to help the two first years and study with them, and sorta be like their rolemodel, but she wasn't sure if the other girls would like that, so she didn't say anything about it and waited for one of them to reply.

Avis' eyebrows raised in surprised when Meiyu said her name. She'd noticed the girl's worried expression as Avis had walked up, almost as if she'd forgotten something, but relief flooded the girl's face as soon as she'd gotten the name right. The Ravenclaw wondered what the girl had been so stressed about for a moment before clearing her throat, slightly embarrassed she didn't know the older girl's name.

"Yes, that's me." she said with a smile," And no worries about the homework. It's my own fault for missing the assignment anyways. But what's this about a cat?" she asked, glancing between the two girls. Avis had had a few cats at home, always strays and always the coming-and-going sort, but she loved them all the same.

The older girl smiled. Avis narrowed her eyes trying to figure out where she'd seen her before as the second year spoke about her Herbology homework. She mentioned something about the common room and it clicked. Avis must have seen her there before. I really need to start getting better at names and faces, she thought to herself and then snapped back to attention as the girl continued.

"...I was just telling Meiyu about my kitten Tiger. Would you like to meet him too? He's really friendly," she was saying. Avis bit her bottom lip. She needed to get that Herbology homework information, but this was an opportunity for new friends (and hopefully an adorable kitten) and she couldn't pass that up.

"I'm in! Maybe you could give me a few tips on Herbology while we're at it?" she joked.

Meiyu had noted the brief interaction between the two Ravenclaws, sharing a house status between them, which in return would have made it easier for the pair to get along, in contrast to the lioness. Meiyu had to stop herself from appearing ill mannered in front of her peer, who was adamant on getting homework advice on this fine evening, which was something a first year should not be too concerned with prioritising, considering the day full of classes had ended. "Maybe, but I doubt I'll be as helpful as you presume I am." She had reminded the girl. who had failed to realise they were in a similar predicament as two first years exploring entirely new topics.

"Perhaps we can pass the Great Hall first? I think I left my bracelet there during lunch." The young girl sighed, reminiscing the silver bracelet tattered with a few astrological charms, mostly stars, that may appear as insignificant to others, yet was a gift from her only aunt prior to the Xiang's relocation to Oxford. At times it was clear that Meiyu lacked the approval of those who were not her immediate family as she had begun pacing in direction of the Great Hall, disregarding if the two students behind her followed or not. Given their convenient location within the castle, it took no time at all for the young lion to reach the Great Hall, pushing past the large wooden doors which guarded the hall away from the bustling atmosphere of the corridors after a days end.

Her eyes scanned the long dining tables as she paced down the hall, focusing her vision on the Gryffindor table until she had spot the twinkle of the silver metal, which had somehow fallen onto the floor in the few hours students had been in classes since lunch. As though reaching an eureka moment, Meiyu almost grinned at her reunion with the inanimate object as she reached down gracefully reaching for the bracelet, that was until a loud irritating voice had interrupted the girls. "Thank you! I've been looking for my bracelet all day." Causing Meiyu's facade to almost drop at the blatant lie and stare at the directly into the other students eyes.

Tracey smiled at her fellow Ravenclaw housemate and she heard her speak. Tracey listened and slightly giggled at Avis' reply before Tracey replied,
"I'll be happy to give you two some advice with all classes not only Herbology! Perhaps we could even study together. I wouldn't mind helping you guys with your homework as well. But maybe another time, not today,"

Though the younger Ravenclaw joked, Tracey wasn't joking with what she had said. She told the truth. She wanted to study with these two first years, but only if they would allow her to study with them. Tracey then turned her attention to Meiyu, since the young Gryffindor began to talk. Tracey didn't have enough time to speak, since the younger girl had already started walking off towards the Great Hall. Tracey followed her, thinking she could grab a snack.

It didn't take long before they reached the Great Hall, and as Meiyu went to go find her bracelet, Tracey went to go get a quick snack. After she got her snack, she walked back over to Meiyu with some napkins full with goodies, since Tracey was a bit too hungry and wanted to snack on some things.

"Alright, are we ready to go?" Tracey asks not seeming to realize that there is another person with them.

Avis glanced up in the surprise at the voice interrupting them. She scrunched her eyebrows together in confusion, not sure if she was hearing this new student correctly.

"Come again?" she asked, studying the girl who had walked up to them. She was small with red pigtails tied up in green bows, the Slytherin crest displayed on her robes left front. Avis cocked her head waiting for an answer but the girl scoffed, obviously irritated by the question.

"I said I've been looking for my bracelet all day and you," she said, turning to Meiyu," found it for me! Thank you." The girl tapped her foot impatiently, as if waiting for acknowledgment from the Gryffindor girl beside Avis. The Ravenclaw glanced between them nervously. Meiyu seemed just as confused as Avis was, so obviously there had been some sort of mistake?

"Well, I don't know either you that well, so I wouldn't know, but I'm almost positive this is Meiyu's bracelet. She mentioned looking for it before we got to the Great Hall," Avis pointed out. This little Slytherin girl was starting to spark her temper, but she managed to push the anger back down in order to make some sense of the situation. The girl was about to reply when Tracey walked up behind them, her hands full of snacks.

"Alright, are we ready to go?" she asked, just seeming to notice the new girl standing with Avis and Meiyu.

Meiyu attempted to prevent the facade she had managed to upkeep drop, particularly under watchful eyes. The self-proclaimed owner of the bracelet had reached out, snatching the bracelet from Meiyu, immediately turning back on the girl and leaving, resulting in the young girls' blood to boil instantaneously. She had noted Avis' proclamation in her defence, while Tracey had ignored the matter, almost making her blurt out what had happened. Despite this, she refused to let her facade fall, no matter what happened to her. Meiyu refused to succumb to the short fuse within her that was so quick to falter, yet the bracelet was dear to her, swearing to take her revenge later.

Had it not been for Tracey's reminder to leave, she would have staged an intervention immediately, choosing to appear cordial as though she had not become vexed so quickly, she turned back to the girls, stifling a slight smile towards the two girls. "Go ahead without me, I think some people need reminders not to take what is not theirs." Nodding at the girls out of etiquette, she turned her back once more walking back to the Slytherin, her eyes fixated on the thief who had disguised herself as a snake, roughly pushing her towards her group of friends. Admittedly a cowardly form of attack, once the girl had turned to her, Meiyu's facade dropped, her expressionless eyes glared into the other girl, snatching the bracelet from her.

Meiyu's hand clenched tightly around the bracelet, her knuckles slightly paling as she held her ground, staring down the Slytherin with a fierce intensity. The girl’s eyes flashed with outrage at being shoved so openly in front of others, her friends exchanging wary glances, unsure whether they should step in or not. The girl swiped at Meiyu, attempting to grab the bracelet back, but the lioness twisted her wrist just out of reach, her grip on the piece so tight she could feel its material pressing into her palm.

“What’s the matter?” Meiyu sneered, her voice low but sharp, “Did you seriously think you could walk all over me?” The Slytherin's face flushed red and with a haughty snarl, she lunged forward, trying to regain her footing and snatch the bracelet back. Meiyu dodged her fable attempt with a sidestep, but as her opponent spun back around, she seized a handful of Meiyu’s sleeve, yanking her close enough that they were in close proximity of each other, almost nose-to-nose. The Slytherin’s grip tightened, nails digging into Meiyu’s arm causing her to instinctively to wince at the sudden pain.

“Let go of it!” the girl hissed, her voice barely a whisper, but Meiyu caught the faint tremor in it, sensing the frustration lurking beneath her rival’s defiant front.

Meiyu only grinned in response, as though possessed by something intangible, matching the girl’s intensity as she twisted her arm to free herself, pushing the Slytherin back once more, reminding the thief of her place. “Maybe you should think twice before trying to play thief,” she said coldly, her words striking as harshly as her shove.

The girl stumbled backward, her friends quickly moving to steady her, but the smirk on Meiyu's face was victorious. “Try all you want,” Meiyu replied sarcastically, slipping the bracelet onto her own wrist, “but some things are simply out of your reach.” With that, she spun on her heel and strode off, leaving the Slytherin fuming behind her.

As Tracey was getting all her snacks, she obviously had no idea what was happening, but when she came over to the three girls, she knew something was up, but she wasn't one of those friends or people to ask what happens when she can clearly see that no one wants to talk about it, and Tracey is pretty sure no one wants to talk about it.

"Are you sure that you want us to go?" Tracey asks Meiyu, but when she saw the Gryffindor walk away, Tracey turned to her housemate and asks,
"Shall we go?"

Instead of waiting for a reply, Tracey began walking away from the Great Hall and she decided to wait for Meiyu in an area where she can easily be spotted, the closet place to the Great Hall, the Entrance Hall.

Tracey wasn't sure if Avis was following her, and honestly, Tracey herself didn't want to see a fight happen over a bracelet, but she was sure the bracelet belonged to Meiyu and not that Slytherin girl.

If Avis hadn't followed her, she hoped the two first years would be able to find her and join her, since she wants to hangout with them more, but if they still don't show up, she could always see them around the castle too.

"I'm... not sure," the Ravenclaw said in response to her older classmate. Tracey walked away but it didn't seem to register to Avis as she did so.
She was too busy watching the exchange between Meiyu and the Slytherin girl with rising alarm. The strange calmness she'd been observing from her new acquaintance now seemed like a facade as she let her anger rip into the thief who'd taken her bracelet. Avis didn't know whether to be awed or to be scared. Meiyu had turned into a completely different person in a matter of seconds.

She watched as Meiyu stood her ground and gasped when she saw the two of them grapple for the bracelet. The Slytherin girl was clutching her friend's sleeve tightly and Avis took a slight step forward, intending to break it up when Meiyu seemed to take care of the situation herself and twisted out of the girl's grasp. She delivered a final vocal blow as the Slytherin stumbled backwards and Avis watched as she spun on her heel, marching away from the group.

Not sure if she should follow Tracey or wait for Meiyu, Avis felt frozen in place. She realized that she probably should have been studying and although she'd enjoyed her time with the two girls, Avis really needed to get started on her Herbology homework. Maybe she would take a quick trip to the library?

As Meiyu approached, Avis gave her a slight wave.

"I think I'm going to head to the library but I hope to see you around. That was pretty impressive," Avis said, nodding towards the group of Slytherins recovering in the corner. With that, she turned and left the Great Hall, hoping she could squeeze in some valuable study time before it was too late.
