It's October 15th, Mateo Yamamoto had arrived at Hogwarts yesterday. He had an amazing first day, thanks to his best friend, Tracey. Mateo is ready to stroll around the castle, and is also ready to meet new people and make new friends.
Mateo had wanted to go into the kitchens, but, Tracey had caught him even tho he had went down to the basements before she even knew he had left. Since apparently they weren't allowed to go into the kitchens until fourth year, Mateo decided to stroll around the basements before heading up and making his way to the first floor.
There really wasn't anything on the first floor, so he quickly went up to the second floor, since he didn't want to see classrooms. Upon arriving on the second floor, Mateo walked around until he saw the abandoned toilets. He wanted to go in, but didn't, since he sensed someone coming. Upon hearing Tracey ask why he had stopped, Mateo simply said,
"Someone's coming,"
Soon the figure was close enough for Mateo to notice that this person is a boy, around their age. As soon as the boy was identifiable, Mateo heard Tracey speak to the boy and say that his name is Augustus. Mateo had never heard that name before, but he was glad that Tracey knows who this boy is. Mateo then decided to introduce himself to the boy by saying,
"Hello. I'm Mateo Yamamoto, Tracey's friend. It's nice to meet you,"

Yesterday, Tracey's childhood best friend, Mateo, had arrived to Hogwarts from Mahoutokoro, and she spent the whole day with him. She missed him a lot and she knew that he also missed her.
Tracey had just came back from the Ravenclaw common room and noticed that Mateo was no where to be seen. Tracey sighed and went to go look for him. It didn't take her long to find him, since she had went straight to the basements. She saw Mateo trying to get into the kitchens and told him not to go in there. She knew Mateo was sad, but upon telling him that he can stroll around Hogwarts with her, he was happy.
Now, Tracey already knows every place in Hogwarts, but perhaps, on this adventure, she could enter a new room, or even see someone she hasn't seen for a while.
Soon they were on the second floor, and Tracey didn't even notice. It was like as if her feet were just walking on their own. She must've been deep in her thoughts, since she had almost bumped into Mateo when she came back into reality. But she didn't. She was quite confused with why he stopped so she asked,
"Mat, why'd you stop?"
His answer was simple, that someone was coming. Tracey looked around and was about to say that she saw no one, until she saw a figure approaching. When they got closer, Tracey realized it was Augustus. He's a second year Gryffindor and the two had met during winter break last year. Tracey hadn't seen him for a while, so she smiled at him before saying,
"Augustus! Hello! It's great to see you! How was your summer?"

As the winds of autumn slowly swept across the grounds, Augustus shivered. Loyal to his habits, he was enjoying a morning stroll through the magnificent colours of the scattered trees that littered Hogwarts’s grounds. Even though he had started his second year in the Wizarding school, he still never ceased to be amazed by the castle’s atmosphere. Especially at this time of the year, whereas the hot summer days faded away, slowly giving place to a friskier and cozier time. Nothing like enjoying a fresh and cold walk, then heading for a bowl of hot cocoa around the blazing heat of Gryffindor’s common room’s fireplace. As the young wizard rubbed his hand together, it was time to seek warmth. With a determined step, he made his way towards the main gates.
A comforting wave of warmth hit his face as soon as he stepped foot inside the castle. After a quick stop to the Great Hall for a snack, he decided to head towards the Study room, as he was already a bit behind on his History of Magic’s homework. It was not in his habits to procrastinate like that, but he had been slightly slacking off lately, and now was the time to catch up to this delay.
Upon his arrival on the second floor, he strode through the corridors, well decided to get down to business. He wasn’t necessarily in the mood, but he was well aware that as soon as he would start, the sooner he would finish. However, he got stopped as he passed by the abandoned toilets, hearing a noise. His Gryffindor’s instinct getting the better of him (and honestly, any excuse not to get to work was fine), he changed his trajectory and moved towards the source of the noise. At his surprise, it was a young Ravenclaw, Tracey, that he knew since his first year, with a new student, dressed in a way that clearly let it be understood that he was not from Hogwarts.
- Tracey !, he exclaimed. Im glad to see you again ! My summer w-as fine, but pretty boring, he pursued to answer her question. Between us, I couldn’t wait to be back here. It’s strange, we have only been here a year and yet, it somehow feels like home. He then proceeded to shift his attention towards the young man he never saw before. Hello Mateo ! Nice to meet you too. I’m Augustus, he said, as he presented his hand to the young man.

Tracey smiled happily at her two male friends as she waited for Augustus to answer. Hearing the Gryffindor boy speak, Tracey listened while slowly nodding before she said,
"I agree with you! Hogwarts has become my second home. I bet if there's an option to stay at Hogwarts for summer, you'll stay right? My summer was fun, I'm sad I couldn't go to summer camp, but I got to see my parents again and we worked on my footwork for dueling, since I need it,"
After Tracey had replied, she heard Augustus reply to Mateo's introduction. She hoped that Mateo and Augustus would be great friends and honestly has a feeling that they will be. She hopes this feeling isn't wrong.
Tracey had zoned out again since she was busy thinking about something else to say, but she couldn't think of anything to say. By the time Tracey had returned to reality, Mateo had already replied to what Augustus had said. Tracey had heard what he had said and couldn't help but think of what it'll be like if Mateo had actually been attending Hogwarts. She knew she'd be able to spend more time with him, but she also wondered what his house would be. Once again Tracey found herself drowning in her thoughts, but she snapped back to reality, not wanting to miss anything.
Mateo noticed that Augustus had replied to what Tracey had asked him, Mateo listened to what the other boy said, since Mateo could always agree or disagree with what he says. But, Mateo found himself agreeing. Augustus then spoke to Mateo and he gave him a small smile before he took Augustus' outstretched hand and shook it. Once he let go of the other boys hand, Mateo said,
"I've only been here twice and I already love this place. I see why you'd be happy to come back. Mahoutokoro is my second home, but Hogwarts is my third. Oh, right, I'm a second year at Mahoutokoro and I'm a Quidditch player. I had my first game during the summer, at summer camp, and my team won,"
Mateo didn't mean to brag, but he sorta just let everything spill out of his mouth. He hoped Augustus wouldn't take it the wrong way, since Mateo does indeed want more Hogwarts friends, since he only has Tracey, for now that is and hopefully not for long too. Mateo doesn't want to make enemies either, but, he can't tell if whoever he meets is gonna turn out to be a friend or a foe. But he aims for those people to turn out to be a friend and not a foe.
