Camille, who goes by Cammie, has long (occasionly curly, depending on her mood) golden blonde hair and light blue eyes. She is five foot three, and her face is dotted with freckles.

Camile is sympathetic and ambitious, with an excitement for life that she got from her mother. She has a hot temper that tends to flare up whenever she senses an injustice.

History: Cammie Ellery grew up in a careworn, tucked away cottage in Marianna Florida. The tree-lined yard naturally offered itself for broom-racing, and the shaded front porch was the perfect place for a glass of lemonade and a good book. Inside the cottage there was always the hustle and bustle of a magical family of seven, with odd banging coming from various rooms, cries of "where's the spellotape?" echoing off the narrow hallway, and a delicious smell coming from the kitchen; Grandmother was constantly cooking something. The Ellery family consisted of Cammie's parents, Brittney and Walter, and the children, Jack, Cammie, Melody, and Timothy, in order of age. Grandmother had moved in when Grandpa died six years ago. Walter worked for MACUSA, and Brittney spent her time homeschooling the younger children until it was their time to be sent to Ilvermorny.

For as long as she could remember, Camille's best friend had been her cousin Wren Sinclair. Camille was older than her by a few months, but it hardly mattered to them. They spent their childhood together, climbing trees, baking with Grandmother, and playing tricks on Jack. Although Wren lived in a different part of the state, they both relished the times they did get to spend together. Cammie was heartbroken when she moved to England. They had dreamed together for all their lives of going to Ilvermorny together, but now Wren was off at Hogwarts and Cammie was starting a new school all alone.

First Magic: When Cammie was seven years old, she and Wren were playing in her backyard on a toy broom. They were happily taking turns with it, when suddenly six-year old Melody ran up and snatched it. Cammie shouted at her sister in outrage. "Give that back! We were playing with it!" The little girl stuck out her tongue and responded with "Not anymore!" Camille felt a surge of anger, and suddenly the toy broom snapped. Melody began to cry, but Brittney, coming outside to control the situation, was thrilled to see that Cammie had performed magic.
