Prat knew Being the duelling Captain came with it's duties and today was the day to fulfill them. Finally his time to moderate a duel on his own. Prat had the early nerves hitting him. The adrenaline rush induced urge to fight or flight made him so energetic he could start shaking like a jack hammer. Taking a moment to calm himself of the nervousness Prat collected himself. Knowledge of knowing he was not the one duelling in front of an audience probably helped him a lot.
The responsibilities that came with the title were not one Prat would shy away from. The lad knew what he wanted and was willing to chase it. Today that meant moderating a duel between the Gryffindor team and the Hufflepuff team. The teams on both sides looked competent and Prat had no intention to cheer for either seeing as his work demanded no biases from him. Straightening his collar Prat raised his voice, letting teams on both side hear it. "I assume both the sides already know the rules?" Prat wasn't looking for an answer. "Get your wands ready duellists!" he emphasized before stepping away from anywhere he might get caught in the crossfire of whatever spells these duellists were about to send off.

Gryffindor V Hufflepuff: Match 6
Theodore fixed his hair and straightened his tie before walking out into the arena, first of his comrades. He had a spring in his step and seemed like he was in an elated mood. He stretched in a performative way and then examined the Hufflepuff team. His eyes locked on to Violet, as the first two duelists were not familiar to him. "Well, well, well... Where do you draw water from?" He said with a grin, oozing confidence. "Just couldn't wait to be beaten again, V?" He taunted, with the addition of a single letter pet name to be extra patronising. "I'm not sure I would be able to handle the shame of being humiliated twice." He jeered snidely, brushing his hair back for some dramatic flare. With that, he stepped up to the centre of the arena drawing his wand. Theo cleared his throat and then bowed semi-respectfully. The smirk gone from his face, he returned to his side of the field and readied himself.

Gryffindor V Hufflepuff: Match 6

Siobhan let her head roll across her shoulders in order to crack her neck. Duels seemed to be getting better for her, now that she had both some experience with the activity itself as well as practicing spells in her spare time. She had started to get over the fact that casting spells tended to be far easier when one had a wand attached to their arm and was understanding more and more how magic was harnessed from confidence within.
She looked at her team- Sere, she recognized from the last duel while Theo and his spell work was new to her. She had no doubt of confidence in either of them and she knew at the moment that she could hold her own. She’d done particularly well last duel on her own until she’d been hit by a nasty bout of three spells at once and been knocked out.
She was brimming with anticipation and she could feel sparks flying through her hair, her nose, her fingers, and her toes as she waited for the duel to officially start. She looked to the side hearing Theo taunt one of their opponents. He seemed to know them- Hopefully it was just in good fun as thats what these duels were really all about.

316 | WORD COUNTRemember to breathe. Calm down, shake your arms and legs out. Give your wand a spin. In for four, hold for four, out for six. Breathe. Grip your wand and shake your head, loosen up but not too much. No, don't go rigid again. Breathe, shake off the anxiety and take a step forward. Good, now another. Another. Get through the door, break he threshold and for merlin's sake calm down.
Nico coached himself internally as he walked into the arena. Being the first of his team to show, watching the others walk in a few moments later. Violet and Emily, he didn't know them. Not personally at least, but he knew the names and faces of the Hufflepuff dueling team. Nico just hoped that the three of them would sync up when the duel started. All that mattered now was wordlessly getting on the same page, and winning. They had to win. Sure Nico's been in a duel before, but that wasn't like this. It wasn't competitive and he wasn't representing his house. They had to win, he needed to win. If he lost the first time he was in a real duel like this what would it say for the rest of his time as a duelist? It would be a bad omen, bad luck. None of which he was keen on dealing with.
"Hey." He waved quickly to the other two Hufflepuffs before facing the three Gryffindor's. About to give them all a wave as well before hearing Theo's words to Violet. His eyebrows furrowing together slightly. In confusion and mild disgust. And here Nico thought Slytherins were supposed to be the rude ones.
"Cocky much." He muttered under his breath, before walking over to his own starting position. Giving a respectful bow to show his sportsmanship. Gripping his wand more firmly, readying himself physically and mentally for the start of the duel.

Date : October 26th, 2024 Color code : Written|Thought|Said It was amazing to realize that this was not her first official duel, nor her second official duel, but her third official duel; also when she got the information that everyone on the dueling piste today was the same age as her, from her teammates, the opposing team, to the moderator.
Sere was already on the piste. She looked at the three students in front of her and gave a formal nod. Finally she had the chance to fight another team -The Blazing Badgers- after previously having to back-to-back faced the Viridian Vipers. Sere turned her head, beside her were two people she had met before: Siobhan who was her dueling partner in the Spring Games and Theo with... uhmm... that cursed crocs memory. She raised both of her eyebrows as she heard Theo make an intimidating remark to one of the opposing team members, not too surprised by the image that the boy has built.
The Gryffindor girl raised her wand and said, "As usual... Do or die, let's go!"WC : 171/50

Idiot... Idiot... Idiot...
Why was Emily here? Why did Emily even sign up for this in the first place? Lord only knows, but she was here now. Emily Shephard, Second Year Hufflepuff... First official duel. She spent the best part of the morning rocking back and forth in nervous shakes, threatening to bang her head into the wall for this foolish impulse.
But she couldn't back out now. With a strained smile and friendly nod to her Hufflepuff allies she arrived on the scene. She scanned the crowds frantically for any familiar faces; otherwise translating to Scout or any of her other Hufflepuff buddies.
She had to remind herself though... She did sign up for a reason.
Win or lose, today would be the day Emily would show the school she wasn't some naïve little girl. She might not be fearless, but she wanted to make sure they all knew she had a little more than just a backbone behind her.
With a deep and meaningful breath, she steeled herself.
Let's go.

Gryffindor V Hufflepuff: Match 6
date: 26/10/2024 location: dueling clubViolet entered the arena, her steps careful. She remembered exactly how she had passed out in the first few rounds in her very last duel unable to help her teammates. She felt embarrassed, more embarrassed she could ever be.
If her mood couldn't worsen, it just did.
The Hufflepuff clenched her jaw as she saw the only-enemy-she-had-ever-made enter. His confidence making her want to throw off her wand and choke him to death with her bare hands.
It was a first for Violet, to feel that way, to feel so angry that she was thinking about killing. Her anger was at its all time new peak but she had to be calm for the sake of duelling
And thus, the young girl refrained herself from doing what her heart and mind told her to and instead sent an impolite tight smile towards Theo, deciding it was for the best not to reply. She turned to her teammates sending them a genuine smile, her mood brightening up due to her teammates' support.

Saturday 26 October, 2024...
Now with the game in full swing Prat was getting into quite the mood as everything ramped up. With both sides deciding to throw out their own barrage of multiple spells at each other. Starting off with Sere Nade's metelojinx as she conjured up a rain cloud above the Puffs, fortunately for the badgers none of them were the victims of a lightning strike. Following which came Siobhan's obscuro at Violet, "a hit!!" proclaimed Prat as she went blind with the fold. Theo sent a Rictumsempra to Nico, alsas it missed. "OOh very close!!" Prat remarked almost in excitement.
Meanwhile the Puff side was not on the defensive either as both Violet and Nico decided to give back as good as they got to a certain Gryffindor Theo, With Violet casting Tarantallegra at him as his feet began moving controllably in the rythm of salsa only to be petrified(in spirits) upon the effect of Nico Romano's Spell on him, Petrificus totallus as he went limp and fell down, unable to even move. Emily the third one from the mighty badgers did not spare her choice of target either as she attacked Sere nade with a green sparks charms, blinding the formidable duellist from Gryffs early on.
This game seemed on track to be one for ages as Prat's first one moderating, one he may go on to tell tales about.

Gryffindor V Hufflepuff: Match 6
Made by Raizel Voltrouz
Date : October 26th, 2024 Color code : Written|Thought|Said Just after successfully casting her first spell and creating a storm cloud above the Badgers, Sere heard several spells coming towards her team. A spell that made the ash-haired boy petrified. Huh? Is he prodigal? I've never heard that spell before! Petrifying---Petrified... what?
Just as she was about to check Theo's condition further, a green light suddenly entered her vision in a flash, "Owh, Verdimillious." Sere squinted her eyes to check on the other teammate, but her vision was almost white and the girl could barely see anything, so she called out, "Siobhan, you're good?"WC : 95/50

"Eep!"
Metelojinx. A smart trick. Emily counted her limbs and was shocked to see she managed to escape getting caught in the crossfire. Once it passed, it was now Emily's turn.
"V-Verdimillious!"
Well blow her down. Emily managed to land the first strike. Kind of.
She didn't do any damage but her little green sparks trick really did turn out to be enough to throw off someone as strong as Sere. While she did flash her Gryffindor opponent a shrunken look saying "Sorry..." she couldn't chicken out now. Not when she was under tournament conditions now.
No choice left but to follow through and go with the flow of the game.
