THE BELL CLAN

The Bell clan, a Pureblood Family from the Scottish Highlands, a magical family that has been a key part of history. When England and Scotland combinded into the UK, they send the most unruly of the Bell Clan Vikings to Ireland to pacify the Northern Scottish Border. Bells are spread out across the world, being found in North America, France, Russia, Ireland, Iceland, Australia, Canada, and many other places among the world. The patriarch of the Bell family from back 1100s, named Lief Bell, kept his family lineage alive, always making the head of the family the eldest son. However, in 1375, the patriarch died unexpectly, his only son a three month old boy. His wife, Astrid, took over, becoming the first female matriarch in the Bell history. Now in time, the eldest born child will take over as the head of the family. Once Hogwarts was founded, all Bell's went to this school. The family contained many Ravenclaws, dubbing themselves as 'The Ravenclaw Heritage'. However, once the 1500s started, the family started gaining Hufflepuffs and Slytherins. So far in the Bell lineage, no person has been placed in the Gryffindor house. The matriarch and their family have always resided in Fort Agustus, Scotland, that being the central place of meeting. The Bell history is rich in that area. It is where Lief married his wife, Freya.

Norse legends are a key part of the Bell Clan. To this day, the family still believes and honours the Norse Gods. Freya and Odin are their main Deity. Freya represented War, Seiðr (Magic of seeing the future, Seer), Love, and Gold. Odin represented Wisdom, Healing, War, Poetry, Death, and Royalty. When a child in the Bell family is born, they pray to Freya, to bless their child with seiðr and Love. They pray to Odin for wisdom and royalty for the child. When a member dies, they pray to Odin to make their death painless and to give healing in the next life. When a family member goes to Hogwarts and gets sorted into Ravenclaw, they hold a celebration, honouring Odin for blessing their child with knowledge and Wisdom, carring on the family legacy. On the Contrary, they do the same for Slytherin and Hufflepuff. If Hufflepuff, they honour Freya for blessing their child with Love, and Odin with poetry. If Slytherin, they honour Freya and Odin for the War aspect, their fierceness. Once in a blue moon, when a child is a Seer, they thank Freya and hold a very grand celebration. They have only done the seiðr celebration three times in the family history, but it is a grand celebration nonetheless.

THE SEPARATION

Oakleigh's family is distanced from the rest of the family. When Dorian Bell, her father, resided at hogwarts, he fell for a muggle-born Ravenclaw classmate, Kathleen Wiffler in his fifth year. Kathleen was a sixth year. Dorian pursued her, giving her flowers and acts of kindness whenever he could. Kathleen was stubborn to her feelings at the start, not even bothering to give the reckless man a chance. Despite both being Ravenclaws, they were vastly different. Kathleen was studious, smart, a perfect representation of a Ravenclaw. Dorian, however, was not. He wasn't very good at his school work, despite being smart. He didn't put the effort in. He joked all the time, pursued his passions other than school. When he was in his Seventh year, once Kathleen was graduated, he got an Owl from her. it read:

Dear Dorian,
I am writing you in regards to your relentless pursuing during my years at hogwarts. I apologize for being so disrespectful to you, but you were pretty annoying. Despite my seeming disinterest in you, I actually fell for your stupid charm more than I would like to admit. I would love more owls from you.

Dorian knew his family, being blood purists, would not accept this. Once he graduated, he eloped with Kathleen, getting married and starting a family of his own. He is not in contact with his family anymore. However, each child of his is requested by his parents before they start Hogwarts. Logan never speaks about his encounter with them, only swearing to never go back.

BELL-WEFFLER FAMILY

Dorian and Kathleen grew a family with three children. Logan, being 22 when Oakleigh is 12. He went to Hogwarts and was placed into the Hufflepuff house. He now resides two doors down from his childhood home with his Fiance. Oakleigh, middle child of 12 years of age. A new Ravenclaw student at Hogwarts with a thirst of knowledge. Last, and certainly not least, Axel, her younger brother. An energetic, yet brilliant boy with a knack for getting himself hurt.

WEFFLER FAMILY

Her Maternal Grandparents are born Muggles. Long ago, however, in the family line, they were purebloods. In 1557, a woman named Sella had three children, all Squibs. The children became angry that they did not get blessed with magic, and they fled the magical world, leaving it forgotten. Learning that their daughter was magical, they quickly said it was the work of Satan to take their daughter away. Kathleen went, and her parents were enraged. They tried to convince Kathleen that it was all a hoax, a trick played by the Devil. After that, Kathleen stayed at Hogwarts during Winter break, and at her best friends house during the summer. She is not in contact with them, but they still send Oakleigh and her siblings christmas and birthday gifts.
