Summer Vibes are not against pranking in the cabin, as long as it happens in a separate thread.

This is the draft of the system, which we expect to spice up Cabin Wars a bit and add an element of unpredictability to pranks.

NB: Please, keep in mind that this is not an official system as we have no relation to the administration of this site, and it was created purely to add more fun to the Cabin Wars event (which has no relation to the staff as well, for any questions, please owl @Maggie Parker  or me).

By participating in the Cabin Wars you are expected to agree to the rules of the Cabin Wars (listed in the first post of the thread and in The System section) and allow your pranks to be moderated. Please, use the [Prank] tag in your thread's title so that I could know there's a prank to be moderated (best to owl me once the thread is set up).

The System
Basic Information

1. The system doesn't utilise stats and abilities as it's supposed to keep things as simple as possible. 
2. The system basically checks the successful spell-casting during the preparation of a prank and whether the victim notices the prank or not.
3. Pranks will award War Points, which will determine the best Cabin at the end of the Summer Camp.
4. All the rolls will happen in #bot-spam channel on Discord to make the system as transparent as possible and the screenshots of all the rolls will be attached to the moderation posts.

P.S. closer to the end of the Summer Camp we'll have a vote for the best prank RP with additional War Points (equal to 2 successful pranks) as the prize.

System Mechanics
Stats and Abilities

• No stats or abilities are used for pranks in Cabin Wars.

Dice Roll and DC
Updated: 16th of July, 2019

• Every spell in [Prank] threads is rolled for success: 1d20, DC >10.
• Every unsuccessful spell makes it easier to notice the prank (decreases the noticeability DC by 1).
• Every critical failure (roll 1) makes it a lot easier to notice the prank (decreases the noticeability DC by 3).
• Every successful spell makes it more difficult to notice the prank (increases the noticeability DC by 1).
• Every critical success (roll 20) makes it a lot more difficult to notice the prank (increases the noticeability DC by 3).
• Every prankster is allowed to use only one spell during the prank preparation.

Prank Setup
Updated: 16th of July, 2019

• Create a thread with a [Prank] tag in the title.
• State where the prank is taking place, and who (Cabin name) is preparing the prank (can be several individuals).
• Write the preparation posts, in which you describe how the prank is prepared.
• There can be several rounds of preparation (if spells are used), each round ending with a moderation post to determine the success of the spell-casting.
• Once the prank is set up, the next moderation post will roll all the dice and invite the prank victims to the thread to RP the results (whether the prank was noticed or not).
• After each victim has posted, the Prank thread is considered a regular RP.

Results

• Every successful prank earns the Cabin 5 points.
• Successfully prepared but noticed prank earns the Cabin 1 point.
• To keep it fair between very active and average active players, only the first 3 pranks of each Cabin will be awarded with War Points.

P.S. In case more pranks will happen during the Summer Camp, that number may be increased, if the majority of Cabins would agree on that.
