Wednesday, October 9th, 2024. Kim had planned on holding the first meeting of all of his clubs one right after the other but not all on the same days... That would have been impossible as he had so many he was in charge of and not enough time in the day to achieve such a feat. But he could make them take place chronologically in order. Today was the very first meeting of the Mystical Creatures Club. He'd always liked this one because mystical creatures were things that were very familiar to him. After all, his father was a Dragon Conservationist, employed on a Dragon Reserve.
Not to mention the fact that Kim had always been fascinated with animals and creatures. Not enough to want to make a career out of it but he did find happiness being around them. The dark haired fifteen year old trudged down out of the castle and towards the grounds of Hogwarts. Despite the pull of the Great Lake and other surrounding areas, Kim had chosen the grounds as the place to hold the meeting this time. It was a wide open space but also secluded in certain parts too. Getting some fresh air was a bonus. He'd sent an owl out to each one of the current club members.
There were actually a lot more than he'd thought there would be, considering everything that had happened over the past few years. Kim was curious as to who would actually show up though. Just because their names were on the roster didn't mean they would come. Sometimes they were just too lazy to tell him they were dropping out of the club. Or it had completely slipped their minds due to being insanely busy with their studies. There were a lot of old members but also quite a few new members too. Kim chose a spot where a bunch of small copses of close-together trees were visible.
It was perfect for his club meeting to take place. They would be out of the way of passerbys and have some semblance of privacy too, while still being able to enjoy the fresh air outside. Kim placed his enchanted backpack down off to the side and as usual Kibō slithered out of it, coiling around the pack as he looked up at Kim. "I'll get you a little treat soon, Kibō." He told him in Parseltongue with a smile and took out a few large pieces of folded cloth from his pack. Spreading out one of the large blankets, he placed it down onto the ground on top of various colored leaves.
Ones that were starting to fall down on the ground everywhere. After spreading both blankets down on the ground directly next to eachother, Kim had a huge blanketed space now. He placed some heavy rocks at each one of the corners of the blankets to ensure they didn't get blown off by any unexpected breezes or winds. Reaching into his pack again, Kim brought out a small wicker basket. Setting it down next to the pack he waited for people to show up to the meeting, so he could calculate how many would come. Inside of the wicker basket were a ton of chocolate drop candies.
They were very similar to Sherbet Lemon Drops. Just instead of lemon flavor it was chocolate.

So You Like Mystical Creatures?
Sabrina's been strolling throught the Howarts grounds for good 15 minutes now, unable to stay in place while she waited.
Her hair braided in two tight plaits, blue scarf comfortably wrapped around her neck and her copy of 'Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them' hugged closely to her chest, she was ready and excited for whatever awaited her.
She knew she technically didn't need the book, sure that all of the other members were already familiar with what it had to offer. Still, she thought it adequate to bring it anyway, as it remained her favorite book on the matter, despite reading many others, filling it with trivia she found elsewhere and countless stickies.
When she spotted Kim, she basically ran to him, plaits bouncing on her back, stopping abruptly at the rim of the laid out blankets, cheeks lightly flushed.
"Hi! You must be Kim, right? Its so nice to meet you!
I am Sabrina, Brie for short, a first year Ravenclaw. I filled out the form to join the club a while ago and recieved the owl about the meeting and- "
She beamed, not waiting for an invitation as she kicked off her shoes, plopping down on the blanket next to Kim, placing her book down beside her as she lightly leaned forward, seeming over the moon excited as she continued to ramble, stretching her hand out to him in an offer of a handshake.
"... I hoped the school would offer a club like this, I love mystical creatures, they're just so fascinating, aren't they? And- Oh Merlin!"
She gasped, pulling her hand back, eyes wide as they settled on Kibō
"Is that a snake? Thats so awesome!"
She asked, watching Kibō in awe from the distance, not attempting to touch him or get closer.

Axyen was happily studying in the Hufflepuff Common Room, Axyen could recall that he was trying to get a better memory for Potions and History of Magic by studying the same thing over and over, he felt that he was finally starting to somewhat get it, he was finally starting to remember it and was getting closer to being able to being able to perfectly recall the ingredients to Babbling Beverage from heart and then Axyen would move onto History of Magic real soon once he finished up studying potions. Speaking of Babbling Beverage he still had some, so he once he learned this from heart he'd be able to brew up some freely, his Pygmy Puff Arnold was casually resting beside him soon enough, he'd be asleep when suddenly, Arnold woke up with a jolt and Axyen would find himself snapped out of his focus zone as an owl swooped in with a letter, it smoothly dropped it onto the desk in front of Axyen who was looking down at the letter with a curious expression in his deep brown eyes. He didn't expect an owl, unless it was what he thought it was. He ruffled his messy short straight brown hair for a second or so before opening the letter, Arnold was watching curiously at Axyen as Axyen read the contents of the letter. It was nothing like he was expecting, it was actually a letter from the Mystical Creatures club!
The Mystical Creatures club was a club that Axyen had joined a good bit ago, this was going to be the first club meeting all about Magical Beasts! Axyen loved Magical Beasts, for one, he had Arnold, the best Pygmy Puff this world has to offer; he had chose to take Care of Magical Creatures for his third year elective and of course Axyen was considering working with Magical Beasts as a potential career which is why he was beyond thrilled for this club meeting. The next thing Axyen knew was that he was standing up, he had to head over there right about now! Axyen thought over what he had to say while Arnold was confused by Axyen's sudden change in behavior as Axyen was previously just focused and quiet but now he was all bubbly and overjoyed. Axyen grabbed his parchment which contained his pictured of Babbling Beverage, the steps needed, and how to brew it, and some of his textbooks.
He walked up to his dormitory, passing a group of students who were chatting about Gobstones. Axyen would then enter his dormitory, set down his books and papers and quills in exchange for a bottle of water and a bag of pet food just in case Arnold either got thirsty or hungry. Axyen would then leave his dormitory and then the Hufflepuff Common Room as a whole afterwards. He strolled through the corridors, looking at the stone floor blankly, allowing his peripheral to lead the way and act as Axyen's vague guide with Arnold following not too far behind Axyen. Axyen suddenly looked up and then found himself outside, Axyen already was thinking of how he should introduce himself.
'I should go for... a cool approach? No, no, maybe a simple approach? Yeah, what could go wrong with a simple approach?' Axyen was mentally deciding how he wanted to introduce himself, stopping for a second to think whilst Arnold halted beside him. Axyen eventually would decide that he wanted to go for something simple, nothing over the top.
"Hey Arnold, make sure to be on your best behavior, okay?" Axyen requested with a smile, looking down at Arnold who tilted his body up and down, as if nodding. Axyen nodded to Arnold in acknowledgement and would continue to walk on.
Axyen wore some black robes with the Hufflepuff crest pinned to the right side of the robes as well as three horizontal yellow stripes at the end of each sleeve. Underneath the robes, Axyen wore a simple gray shirt with three 'V' shaped yellow lines at the top of the shirt. Axyen also had black jeans on with some simple running shoes. In other words, he is simply wearing the Hufflepuff uniform; Axyen believed that he didn't need to dress up in a fancy manner for a club meeting, well the owl certainly didn't tell him to dress up in a specific manner so it was all going to be alright for Axyen. Axyen continued to walk until he saw an older looking boy as well as a girl.
The boy must've been Kim Sato, the owner of the Mystical Creatures club. Axyen didn't know who the girl was though but he was probably destined to find out one way or another. Axyen walked forward and noticed a snake?! Axyen was kind of scared of snakes, he liked reading about them and even seeing them in fight scenes in a book; however, actually being up close to one was kind of nerve wracking for him but Axyen was still able to approach with Arnold closely following behind. Axyen would stroll to the pair until he was finally within talking range.
Axyen remembered that this is the part where he was meant to go ahead and introduce himself. Axyen would note that there were a few large blankets, presumably for sitting if he had to take a guess at it right then and there; Axyen wouldn't fail to notice the rocks at the corners of each cloth, that was to prevent them from flying away into who knows where?
"Um, hello." Axyen greeted the two students, now what? Did he just say his name or something? He thought this over before going here, but somehow he still felt awkward and a little lost but he already said something. My name is Axyen Dragonclaw, I'm a third year student and I'm in uh, Hufflepuff." Axyen awkwardly followed up.
'Yes, because you're not already screaming 'badger' in appearance.' Axyen thought to himself, he didn't know if he was supposed to sit down so he remained standing up. He didn't really know what else to say, so he cleared his throat as a one or two second distraction before voicing: "It's uh, nice to meet both of you.", Axyen didn't know how well he was doing, this was much more awkward than he anticipated, but at least he didn't stutter, right?
Still, he was still happy to be here and excited for the meeting, just somewhat awkward. Arnold on the other hand was next to Axyen inspecting Kibō curiously.InformationReducioMentioning....ReducioNobody.ItemsReducio

This is probably Curtis's second time meeting Kim- which is kind of funny ,cause all his meetings with Kim seem to be during a gathering of the clubs. Mythical creatures this time! Even though he is by no means- a third year student and can study none of those magical creature classes, he is more than excited to be part of the club!

Well that's what he thought last night, he is in fact- running late. It wasn't a good look considering he's only been here for a month. He has scrambled on his clothes and was racing out the door- almost forgetting his glasses as he scrambles to get them from his bedside table.
He sprints through the common room, somehow dodging a few sure collisions with some students and makes his way to the grounds.
He noticed two members already there and thought- damn, he IS late!!
"Sorry I'm late!!! He calls from afar, panting, and when he finally makes it he is heaving, though his hands rest on his hips as he tries to catch his breath. "What did I miss?" He asks, not noticing that he basically intruded on an ice breaking question.

A high ponytail? A braid? Or should I leave it loose? She thought as she tried out the different hairstyles. "I think this is the best choice", she said as she arranged her hair in a half-up fishtail braid with the remaining hair loose.
Looking in the mirror, her eyes were filled with excitement and nervousness, "I'm Ready!" she said as she tried to calm herself. Yes, the Mystical Creatures Club was not the first club she had joined, but that pinch of anxiety was always there. She had always found them fascinating, this interest came from her grandmother who had been reading her stories about mystical creatures since she was an infant. True, the closest she had ever come to mystical creatures were books, but that did not stop her.
She looked at the time and was late. "Damn!" With one last quick glance at the mirror, she walked towards the grounds, where the meeting was to be held. She had to hurry, make up for lost minutes and hope she wasn't too late. Grace hurried along the Hogwarts runners, walking as fast as she could. Around her, students occupied the space, some were laughing and joking, others were more focused on their studies, while others were nodding off and not noticing the hustle and bustle around them.
Her footsteps echoed on the floor and, after walking for a while, she reached the meeting place. There, under the trees, were other members of the club. She immediately noticed Kim, the leader of the club and more: a fourth-year student and, like Grace, a Griffondor. Luckily, she wasn't the only one who had arrived late; in fact, they were still gathering.
"There...hello! I'm so...I'm so sorry, I hope I'm not late", she said, trying to catch her breath, with one hand resting on her leg and the other on her chest, but with a smile she was unable to hide.
"I'm Grace, a first year Griffondor! "she exclaimed enthusiastically. "I apologise again for being late...Ah! A snake.... How cute!" She continued, with the same smile lighting up her face and her eyes sparkling and full of curiosity.

So You Like Mystical Creatures?
As Axyen approached the group, subconsciously acting cautious around the snake as if he was worried it might lunge at him out of nowhere, he would fail miserably to act causal; instead, he acted nervous and that destroyed his plan completely. However, not all was lost as Kim Sato, the owner of the club, called out to Axyen in what Axyen considered to be a pretty friendly way. 'Right, we all have something in common here; there is no need to feel nervous.' Axyen reminded himself as Arnold, the Pygmy Puff, looked at Axyen curiously. Kim would welcome Axyen and told Axyen to take a seat, which Axyen carefully lowered himself until he was sitting on the edge of a blanket, his shoes remained planted to the ground and his knees were now at stomach-level. Axyen would wait a few moments before slowing feeling more relaxed and still cautious about Kim's snake, he figured it was silly to assume that the snake would harm him, but he just couldn't help it.
Arnold looked at the snake that Axyen was looking at. Arnold rolled forward a little, he seemed quite curious about Kibō, Axyen didn't mind Arnold looking at Kibō, he was more worried about Arnold getting the idea of trying to lick the snake. Axyen wasn't sure how that would play out exactly and he didn't really want to find out, Arnold stayed put for now (to Axyen's relief). Axyen must've been less subtle than he thought as Kim caught on, Axyen knew this because Kim stated that his snake, Kibō, was friendly unless Axyen tried to hurt Kim. "Ah, um- right, uh..." Axyen mentally yelled at himself.
'Why am I stumbling over my words now of all times?! Is it because of the snake?' Axyen shook his head, maybe he was just nervous because of the social setting. Axyen cleared his throat before making a second attempt at speaking, hopefully, it would be more coherent. "Understood." Axyen said. 'One word, all I had to say was one word, but here I am stuttering!' Axyen thought to himself, he didn't know if perhaps he was speaking faster than he was thinking, he was nervous or maybe a mixture of both. Thankfully, it was time to get the meeting started.
Axyen showed obvious enthusiasm (by having a big smile) as Kim stated that they will be talking a bit about Magical Creatures for the first meeting. Arnold gave Axyen an odd glance, Axyen looked back towards Arnold with the same perplexed look. 'Is he judging me?' Axyen wondered, every time he got that look from Arnold, Axyen just felt like he was being judged; it was only when Axyen did something that could be considered awkward. 'So he is judging me! Wait, but how do I know for sure...?' The thing is, Axyen didn't really know if Arnold was judging him or perhaps because Axyen was embarrassed it felt as if Arnold was judging him. Axyen focused back to Sato who stated that they'll be answering a few simple questions.
'That sounds easy enough, I am so excited!' Axyen thought to himself happily. The questions asked were what they knew about magical beasts, what magical beast happened to be their favorite and why. 'Oh, I already know the answer without even thinking about it, this will be fun! Axyen pondered how he would word his replies without trying to be overwhelming, maybe he could just say one thing he knew about magical beasts and explain in a single sentence why a Pygmy Puff was his favorite magical beast. "Well-" Axyen would suddenly stop mid-sentence as he heard someone apologize for being late; that was certainly unexpected and it caught Axyen off guard a bit, which may or may not have caused him to jump slightly. Axyen looked in the direction of where heard the voice, naturally he wanted to know who exactly was late.
Axyen would see a boy with brown hair and glasses, those were the first things that Axyen deemed as the most notable qualities that he could see. The boy was obviously in a hurry to get here, he must have been sprinting since he was panting; Axyen wanted to say something, but chose to say nothing for the time being. '...I wonder who this is.' Axyen wondered, trying to recall if he has ever seen this boy in the corridors, but he either didn't pay enough attention and didn't notice him or he simply forgot. 'I don't think I have seen him at all... but the castle is pretty big.' Axyen thought to himself. 'I need to stop thinking about it or I'll just get a headache.' Axyen finally decided, bringing his mind back to thought of fluffy Pygmy Puffs.
Those thoughts about Arnold and other Pygmy Puffs would soon be disrupted by someone else appearing to the meeting late. A Gryffindor appeared soon after the Ravenclaw, which had Axyen curious. 'How many people are going to be late?' Axyen wondered how many people were in the Mystical Creatures club, but he would swiftly realize that he was unsure and that trying to guess would be pretty pointless as well. The girl would apologize and state that she hoped she wasn't late, Axyen thought about it, they haven't even answered a single question yet, so maybe they actually weren't really late, they basically showed up at the perfect time. 'Hmm, wait, what was the question asked here again?' Axyen asked himself as he had somehow already forgot.
'Oh right, he asked what our favorite magical animal was and why.' Axyen successfully recalled. Arnold, Axyen's Pygmy Puff seemed interested in the (maybe, maybe not?) late students who arrived. Grace mentioned Kibō and called him cute, Axyen decided he himself was going to make an effort to not flinch at even the slightest movements Kibō made. Unfortunately, that felt like an impossible goal since Axyen was scared that if he moved too much or stayed too still, that Kibō for some reason might see that as odd behavior and bite him anyways. 'I need to take my mind off of that, think about...' Axyen's thoughts trailed off, his mind went blank all of a sudden; he failed to think about any other topic.
Axyen finally came up with something after up to a minute of silently thinking. 'Wait, who is going to answer the question first? Do I keep talking or...?' Axyen wondered, he figured it would be better to let the late club members start off by answering the questions. Or maybe Kim would just choose who speaks in what order? She couldn't believe it actually existed, an actual Mythical creatures club! Just imagine all of the creatures they could talk about! Her eyes scanned scanned the area surrounding where she was told to meet. She was a bit nervous, but excitement radiated off her like the sun radiated warmth. The grounds was pretty open, not too cloudy which was unusual this time of year. Then she noticed a group of people, *oh no im late* She rushed over trying to be silent, when a few noticed her she just waved.
"Hello! Sorry- i got turned around, the school is huge. Im Rachel, nice to meet you all-" Her excitement wore off fast and was replaced with embarrassment as she lowered herself onto the ground, putting herself near the edges of the group hoping they would forget about her. Listening to Kims question, she took out a small notebook, where it was clear she had been taking notes, drawing, and writing very detailed specifics on each mythical creature she read on, especially the dragons.
"W-Well, Ukrainian Ironbelly has always been one my favorites, Ive heard so many stories on them from my aunt. But i cant exactly pick an exact favorite, because each mythical creature is cool in their own ways. Take a basilisk as just an example, if you were to ask me my favorite serpent like creature, id say it because who can beat how cool its power to kill people with just a look, though a bit intimidating. But someone who has parselmouth may be able to communicate with such a beast, especially if met as a hatchling. But now ask me the coolest under water mythical beast and id answer kelpie without a doubt!
Did you know they can look like the most beautiful horses on land but the minute you touch them or go to ride them, the beauty fades and reveals a creature whos skin sticks to its prey, some even loosing the skin to look more skeleton like- I personally find them interesting and would love to study them, at a safe distance," She seemed to ramble on about more creatures for a bit before catching herself. "Oh, Im so sorry- I didnt mean to ramble.." She said closing her books and placing them by her side. "I just find them so interesting"
She noticed five other members, and decided to listen to their introductions. "Its nice to meet you all.. Im so glad to have other people i can rant on, and maybe work with in the future!" She smiled at everyone. Her fingers twitched with a mix of anxiety and excitement making sure to give everyone else room to speak

Listening to Kims question, she took out a small notebook, where it was clear she had been taking notes, drawing, and writing very detailed specifics on each mythical creature she read on, especially the dragons.
"W-Well, Ukrainian Ironbelly has always been one my favorites, Ive heard so many stories on them from my aunt. But i cant exactly pick an exact favorite, because each mythical creature is cool in their own ways. Take a basilisk as just an example, if you were to ask me my favorite serpent like creature, id say it because who can beat how cool its power to kill people with just a look, though a bit intimidating. But someone who has parselmouth may be able to communicate with such a beast, especially if met as a hatchling. But now ask me the coolest under water mythical beast and id answer kelpie without a doubt!
Did you know they can look like the most beautiful horses on land but the minute you touch them or go to ride them, the beauty fades and reveals a creature whos skin sticks to its prey, some even loosing the skin to look more skeleton like- I personally find them interesting and would love to study them, at a safe distance," She seemed to ramble on about more creatures for a bit before catching herself. "Oh, Im so sorry- I didnt mean to ramble.." She said closing her books and placing them by her side. "I just find them so interesting"
She noticed five other members, and decided to listen to their introductions. "Its nice to meet you all.. Im so glad to have other people i can rant on, and maybe work with in the future!" She smiled at everyone. Her fingers twitched with a mix of anxiety and excitement making sure to give everyone else room to speak
