If you want to roleplay with me, do not hesitate to send me an owl! We can either work out a plot together or we can just start ‘from scratch’ and see where it will take us.
(You can also start a RPG thread/topic and just send me the link, saying something like: “hey, I just started this, do you want to join?” I am open to that, too.)

This RPG takes place before the summer holidays have started and thus it does not conform to “real time”. I hope that is okay! If not, please be so kind to send me an owl and let me know so I can amend it.

It was a comfortably warm afternoon as Shawn spontaneously decided to take a stroll through the castle.
Although he had already been here for one whole year, he still had not been to every part of the building yet.
As he blindly went wherever his feet took him, he could not help but wonder which secrets still lurked in dark corners or which mysterious rooms he might find at the end of abandoned corridors.
This time, he was hoping to stumble over a hidden pathway which would lead him to Hogsmeade, for example. He had heard about this secret underground network from other students and he was curious to find out whether it really existed.
Out of the corner of his eye, he spotted a grand doorway which he had not seen before.
Although this did not seem to him as an entry to a hidden shortcut to one of his favourite places, he still wanted to know what lay behind these vast wodden doors.
As he got closer, he realised that there was a tiny crack between the doors which let a beaming ray of light through.
Excitedly, he peaked through it, but all he could spot were marble floors, walls full of paintings and a high ceiling which seemed to reach for the sky.
His hand reached for the doorknob and he opened it slowly, careful to not make any noise.
A “wow” went over his lips as he stood there, absolutely stunned by what lay before him. The room was flooded with light which came in from the windows on each side of the room and got reflected on at least a dozen crystal chandeliers which hung from the ceiling.
However, apart from that, the room was rather empty. Some tables and seats were cramped into one far corner of the room and a band seemed to have left their musical instruments in another.
Shawn squinted his eyes together as to see better.
Was there really...? Could it be...?
A tiny smile played across his lips as he walked closer.
Yes, it was.
Right in front of him stood a beautifully dark piano. A layer of dust stopped it from shining but the young student could still make out that it was intact and in best condition.
As he admired the instrument with a soft expression on his face, his fingertips gently touched the cold material before he bent down and wiped a bit of grey dust from the seat.
Then, he sat down and started to play the first tune that came to his mind.
A wonderful melody filled the silent room with blooming warmth and it seemed as if the flowers outside on the windowsill started swaying to the music.
He had not played in so long.
Oh, how he had missed it.

trust the magic of true beginnings.

Most of Amber‘s friends were currently outside, enjoying the warmth of the sun, but she did not feel like it today.
She enjoyed being alone with her thoughts, which was why she was wandering through the castle without any particular destination.
The coolness, which radiated from the stone walls, refreshed both her body and her soul and helped her clear her mind.
As she turned around the corner, a rather delicate and unobtrusive melody reached her ears. It was very quiet at first, but as she got closer, it got louder and louder.
However, it was not the uncomfortable type of “loud” - it was the perfect volume; the somehow familiar tune seemed to sway through the air like seeds in a breeze and Amber could not help but sway with it.
The source of the music was coming from the ballroom. Amber knew this room because she had walked past it quite often and every single time she had felt the desire to dance - but there had never been any music before so dancing would have been rather awkward, especially in the case of someone passing by.
As she walked closer, she took hold of the round doorknob and peaked inside.
Her attentive gaze fell on a boy who was playing the piano at the back of the room. He seemed strangely familiar...
Amber’s eyes widened as it began to dawn on her.
It was Shawn! Shawn Darlington, the cute Hufflepuff boy she had once met in the halls.
A smile lay on her lips as she walked closer as quietly as possible. She did not want to interrupt him.
As soon as she had reached the middle of the room, she slowly closed her eyes and started moving to the music.
Her body swayed from left to right, then to the front, and back again.
She turned, and as she turned, her smile widened.
A soft breeze, which had made its way through a small opening in the windows, blew a few loose strands of her caramel brown hair into her tanned face, but she did not bother to tuck them away again.
She just kept dancing and spinning and turning as long as the music kept going.
