These will be disjointed as I’m not planning on writing a full book but rather having fun with the prompts.
... ok i have a world idea now, I might be writing after all but no promises
I somehow managed to do all twelve prompts- I never expected that.

Prompt 1: The Barbarian | Write about an incident that would anger your character. Why would this make them angry? How do they deal with that anger?
WC: 343/300
[quote]
Aster felt the rage boil within him as the ship sailed off. He still didn’t believe it, not only was the magical training he was promised all a lie, now because of some weird magic he never existed in remembered history.
His brother, his sister, his aunt. None of them would remember him if he went back home. The only light in this darkness that left him feeling as hot as the flames he’s been learning to control is that he has a friend with him. Sure they both feel for the same trap, and sure things sucked just as bad for his friend they did for Aster but they were in it together. That’s what made this situation slightly bearable.
Unfortunately he couldn’t even take his anger out in a fiery blaze like he would if he were home. He was on a ship, and unfortunately ships can burn down rather easily which would leave him and the crew stranded in the oceans. He didn’t like the idea of being stranded in the ocean, too much water, too many creatures lurking about. He already didn’t exist on paper or in memory, he didn’t want to just not exist at all.
Great, not he would thinking about what had happened to him again. The tunnel, the faces staring into his soul, the fungus that crept its way into his brain and made him feel different, made faces appear before disappearing from view and from his conscious mind.
He started to pace the ship. If he couldn’t start throwing around fire until his rage had died maybe some exercise would help. He paced until his legs were numb yet somehow also ached.
It didn’t help.
Nothing would help.
Nothing, accept fixing this mess. The sooner he learned how to get himself out of the magical lock box and back onto the records and his peoples memories the better.
The first step would arrive in the sand dunes he was going to. He couldn’t wait for the sun to rise and their ship to arrive.

Prompt 4: The Druid | Write about an animal/from the perspective of an animal that passes through your setting. Is it local to this area?
There was a heaviness in the air as Maria set out on her hunt. She had her bow in one hand, an arrow already notched in the other. She walked through the forest, her footsteps carefully placed in the manner which she spent years perfecting as to not give away her presence to any creature of the forest.
The woods got thicker and darker the deeper she went into it. The scents of the stranger fauna than a few feet ago filled her nose. She was getting close to her hunting grounds. This was it, when the plants started to change their sent and the was no paths in sight. Most people didn't dare go this deep into the woods. They stuck to the outskirt if they dared stepped in at all.
Maria didn't blame them. She hide using the thick trunk of the tree and listened to the outgoing flaps of the large birds wings. She knew not to let the sound fool her, when it sounded like it was far away, it was simply trying harder to cover up how close it was.
The huge bird glided into view. If it stood, it was easily be the hight of the huntress, and it's wings spread across twenty feet. It was the perfect kill for Maria to bring back to her people. It could keep them feed, give them feathers to stuff their blankets with, bones for their tools.
She had to mark her mark. She shot three quick arrows when the bird came close to her. It let out a thrill scream, and it's course changed to where the trees got lighter and the creatures more tame. That was good, the huntress doubted she could get a kill that large out of the deep woods without having to abandon it to a larger threat.
In the woods humanity was not a powerful. It's why most people were so scared.

Prompt 2:
The Bard | Write about a performance that occurs in your setting. Are performances common to see? Are the performers local to the area, or have they travelled to perform here?
"Come come, you're about to miss the show," the dazzling feathered lady beckoned as Maria obeyed.
"You called me to the deep woods, further than any of my kind has dared to go because of a show you wanted me to see?" Maria was furious, but she didn't have the energy to fight after facing multiple prehistoric threats to get to the fey's village. Her words came out as her sounding tired, which was also true.
As they walked to the theatre, the fey spoke once more. "Well you see darling, this show is wroth the troubles of your journey. Also, it's an award for making it this far into the woods. I thought you wouldn't do it. May I say I am quite pleased with your talents." Maria hated each word coming out of the ladies mouth. Quite pleased? Was this a test? Maria hated test, the one thing she liked about being trapped on this stupid island is that she didn't have to go to school anymore.
"Thanks, I guess." The archer sighed and took her seat on the theaters balcony. She was apparently a guest of honor, since a sane human around these parts was a rarity.
She learned why quickly, the show begun with brights lights, sparkles, and words in a language which made her brain hurt. The dancers regularly flaunted their magic as they went through their sequence. The magic only worsened the visitors growing headache.
"Is something wrong dear?" the fey asked with a hint of glee.
It was another test, the fey performance was supposed to drive her into madness. Once she realized that, she could feel the magic trying to worm it's way into her brain, then it became easy to push out.
"Not at all." She replied, her will feeling stronger than ever. She would pass this test. Then the next, then the next, however many it took before she could seriously negotiate with the powers of this island.

Prompt 5:
The Fighter | Write about something/someone that needs defending. Does your character defend it/them? Why or why not?
It was Maria's turn on first shift tonight. They gave her the easiest shift because she brought in the bird that feed the entire village and yielded leftovers, the gesture was nice but she wished they would let her do more. She rather be the first to the defense of her new found home than have to wake up to the chaos of the occasional attacks.
Her fellow guard came up to her, "How can you just keep going?" the young boy, with unkept hair and the parasitic purple glow in his eyes asked. "You hunt, then kept watch, then make arrows, how do you even fine time to eat and sleep?"
Maria laughed and ruffled the hair of the younger guard. "I've gotten used to the routine." Her routine was have her shift, sleep, eat breakfast, hunt until she’s either gathered enough plants or brought home a good kill, come back nap, and if it’s not her shift yet she’ll make arrows before it is. Sometimes she even eats dinner!
“Lucky you, my routine is dictated by,” he trailed off and Maria knew exactly what he wanted to say.
“Liam…”
“I know I know I’m lucky that we’re finding a cure for me not to get fully corrupted and I’m very lucky even for the preventative practice and”
“I was going to say that I’m here for you.” Defending the village took more than gathering food, supplies, and standing guard. It also meant keeping the spirits of the other washed up people up. “If you ever need to complain or cry it out I’ll find time.” Even if it meant she had to skip breakfast.
“Really?” Maria couldn’t help but smile to try and counter the disbelief. “Really.”

Prompt 8:
The Ranger | Write about someone getting lost in your setting. What catches their attention, and why?
Liam had no clue where he was. The beach has fluffy sand that he could feel within his hair, but the woods beyond seemed never ending. In fact the trees seemed to slowly get taller and thicker the further on in the woods.
He lifted himself off the beach feeling the sand trickle down back to the beach which it come from. Then he brushed off the annoying clumps from his legs and arms before he felt ready to set off. Surely if there were any other people here they would be in the woods?
Right?
It made the most sense to him so he set off through the trees, for the first while everything seemed normal. Squirrels scurried about, birds chirped in the trees to announce their presence, but before long the air started to shift, the trees became taller than they should've been. Sure the trees normally towered above him but they were towering more than normally. At some point he ceased to be able to see the sky from where he stood, and the air became much colder.
That's when the sounds and sights of the forrest started to change. Snow started to fall from the sky, and the trees faded into a snowy valley, footsteps echoed from the force of the large creatures roaming around.
"Are those, mammoths?"
A whole herb passed on by and Liam panicked and ran on, and on and on until he was back in a forest, but it certainly wasn't a forest of his time.
He could've sworn he ran directly back.

Prompt 10:
The Sorcerer | Write about your character discovering they have magic. What sort of magic is it? How will they use this magic?
Liam couldn't believe the stories of old were real, magic was real, and it was in him now.
Not in the fun way, he didn't get to throw around fire or make the weather bend to his will. This magic wasn't really his.
He had to escape it. He had to run. He didn't know which part of the woods he was even in. He was certainly somewhere, and somewhere too close to the fey. He had to run, he had to leave the fey to their lands and find where the other people where.
His vision faded out and he just kept running, away from the tall trees, away from any open biomes that didn't look like a beach, away, away, away.
He didn't even notice that the beach he found was connected to a lake into he tripped into it. the water coated his skin and changed his hair. Thankfully the water was deep enough to prevent injury. Once he was able to turn around and face up to the sky he laid there for a moment. The water was nice. He it was cool, and the sounds and sights seemed modern enough.
He could feel the magic that was imported to his body. It was cold, like the snowy woods where the satyr found him.
His entire body started to feel cold, maybe he could just close his eyes and drift.
"Oh that's just great another one has been corrupted."
Liam opened his eyes to, a human?

Prompt 11:
The Warlock | Write about your character making a deal. Why have they made this deal? What may the consequences of this deal be?
Maria sat in the lovely palace. Why was it so that her people had to struggle to build huts within the trees or on the beach but these creatures were able to bend reality to their whim. Well some of them could. The more dangerous ones could.
"Well it's cleare that the performance wasn't as magically as it could've been." said the fey which Maria has been dealing with for far too long now.
"I prefer it that way." Retorted Maria, unwilling to show any form of weakness in the presence of this force. "I suppose so," was the response given to her.
A levitating tea tray floated besides Maria, "Would you like a refreshment?" inquired the fey. "I brought my own." Maria said as she took a sip of her water. She was running a little low, but she didn't care. Any water that wouldn't like her at the mercy of the magical creatures was water worth gold.
The fey's lips twitched, Maria had passed another one of their tricks. "Well my darling I suppose I should fulfill my end of the bargain. You have visited me and have graced us with a show of will almost magical. How about we start negotiating?"
"I agree to start negotiating." Maria didn't want to risk saying anything else, the more concise her sentences the better.
"You make permeant residence in the capital, and continue to grace us with your presence and anyone who becomes a member of your village will be under my protection." This deal seemed far too great. What did the fey want with her?
"There's more than that isn't there?" There had to be.
A necklace appeared in Maria's hand and the fey explained "If you wear that the deal will be sealed. Your people will be safe from fey and from all creatures of my time and sooner. You'll be able to visit to confirm this any one day of the week. The rest of the time you stay here."
"My people must be allowed to speak freely in letter and spoken form when I visit them." Maria still felt like this was a trick, despite it being the best fey deal she's heard of.
"I will place no magic upon them. Only upon you." The fey's smile almost seemed genuine.
"Deal."

Prompt 3:
The Cleric | Write about an institution in your setting. Is it well-liked and appreciated, or disliked by the general population?
Maria looked upon the building that was a part of her new home town, the fey court. The source of the deal that lead to the necklace that was now a part of her body. She made a deal with one of the highest fey, a ruler of a period of time itself. She ate a few pieces of prehistoric jerky before entering the building.
"Welcome ward of Elowen, the ruler of the Mesozoic Era." Maria hated this address. She responded with, "I am Maria of the Cenozoic Era, Quaternary period, a traveler who's gone further than any non-corrupted human before her. My ability to breathe in his air is a gift but I survived the journey on my own with the use of that gift."
Gosh she hated the fey court. Much like even sane human. This court was the reason they were all kept in this stupid island. It was the reason they lived like peasants or had their wills bent by the fey.
The fey liked their court though. The little shits lived their rules and regulations. The powerful loved to use their status to command the others around. Maria was already starting to get homesick. She just knew that every second between the time she could be at the seaside village, in her time, would be torture. She blamed this situation on the fey too. The only deal that allowed her to make sure the betterment of her people happened was one that left her surrounded by the enemy.

Prompt 12:
The Wizard | Write about a centre of learning in your setting. Is it used regularly? Do people enjoy going there?
Maria looked at the group of volunteers gathered before her. “Alright so you want to learn archery?” Each one of them indicated yes in some way, some by nodding some by giving a little “mmmmhmm” sound that Maria had learned to interpret as nervous but ready enough over her time working with kids, the most confident said something like “yup” or “yeah”
“Well then you’ve come to the right place, but nothing I teach you will mean anything if you don’t practice. I expect to see each and every one of you here at least once a week in between our sessions. Understood?” Once again she got a round of various ways of saying yes without exactly saying the exact word yes.
“Okay who here has any experience with archery ever.” She saw sparse hands go up, “hold your bows.” It was a shame she had to test them each time to see if they actually knew anything or if they just wanted to show off in front of their peers.
She walked down the line and inspected each person. Either saying “correct” if they had proper from, or in most cases having to give a few critiques to those who have gotten the gist of it but have never taken archery seriously before.
“Okay, anyone I said correct too go start shooting. Retrieve at the same time so no one gets hurt on my watch.” They headed off and Maria was left with those she would be giving a lot of attention too until they were ready to hunt.
