My Dear Leo

Dear Leo,

I know this is a bit random but home. What is it to you? I know it is a house obviously, but no. That isn't MY HOME. Home is not a place, instead a feeling. Home is a family that isn't blood. It's joy, sad, anger, scared, funny, dangerous, hope and fear. Home is where I am myself, and I am comfortable. Home is where I can cry, without being embarrassed. Home is where the sun shines and the clouds rain. I feel safe and I feel love. I am grateful for home. Where would I be without home? I do not know. Nor would I like to know. I have a home. And that's that. Home. Such a nice word. Explaining every feeling in just five letters. The door will always be open. Will take me in at any moment and time, no matter what. You carry memories you keep forever. I think we can all agree that the best time is coming home, am I right? It isn't where I come from. It is where I belong. I know that you are my home. Here at Hogwarts is my home. Leo. I long for home.

Love,
A.H.

My Dear Leo
Hi Leo,

I hope you’re doing well! Lately, I’ve been reflecting on what makes a moment magical and it’s got me thinking about all those core memories we created together. It’s funny how certain days, certain feelings, stick with us long after they’ve passed. A magical moment mostly comes from the smallest things. A shared laugh over something so so silly or the excitement of a new adventure or even the comfortable silence whilst sitting next to someone who understands you. I remember the Winter afternoons we spent on your couch in London, watching old murder mysteries when we were just kids. It’s those connections that make moments special, isn’t it? I’ve been thinking about how sometimes it’s not just the big events that stay with us, but those little, everyday moments. Like the time we built that fort out of blankets and pretended we were on a grand quest. It felt so real in that moment, and I can still picture us sitting there, planning our next move. Do you remember? do you ever just stop and appreciate where you are. As I sit here, writing to you, I realize how much I miss those shared experiences. They remind me of the joy in simplicity and the beauty of friendship and life and childhood.

See you soon. You’re always in my thoughts.

A.H.
