Avis slipped into the Rehearsal Room. It was a grand room, more fitting for the performance than rehearsal, and yet the ballroom surpassed even this. She slipped into a well-lit section of the room-wizards were great, but it would be nice if they could use some electricity once or twice,- and set up her keyboard. The place seemed lacking in musicians, a fact for which Avis was disappointed. Her mother had told her she could go to a public school for high school, and Avis was most looking forward to the band. No matter, though, she could still play her instruments here.
She began her scales. Major, Minor, Melodic. Useless scales those were, at least in Avis' opinion. Why waste time on Melodic? She spent some time on scales and technique before moving on to a song. The piano wasn't her best instrument, which belonged to her sax, but her favorite was playing the piano. It was something about the notes, about the fact that you could play a chord as just one person. It meant that you didn't need anyone else's help, because if you wanted it done right, it was your responsibility.
Avis began her piece. She was supposed to be playing this at a recital this week if she hadn't received her Hogwarts letter, so she had been practicing this one, Nocturne in E-flat major. It was probably the hardest one she'd ever played, so she messed up quite a few times, but she didn't mind, no one would notice, not that anyone was listening. It wasn't the song itself that made Avis love playing music, it was the fact that she was creating this piece of art.
Towards the middles of the piece, Avis vaguely heard another person enter the room @Alliasta Holista, but she was invested at this point, and was not about to stop. She finished the song quietly then turned to the girl and tilted her head. "Hullo."

Alliasta was stuck, she loved drawing... She had drawn a lot of things, Kaioto, landscapes, flowers, even an aesthetically pleasing table... But she couldn't really find anything right now, maybe her muses had abandoned her by now. The girl started to visit the castle with a drawing pad and a few pencils in her hand, hoping to find something to draw.
As she progressed, she went to different places. And finally she found herself in the corridor leading to the rehearsal room... A voice was coming from inside. The piano sound sounded really nice. Alliasta didn't know how to play the piano at all. But she always loved the sound of the piano. She resisted going in, but she wanted to see this, so she went in. Inside, she saw a girl in a Ravenclaw uniform playing the piano. The first thing that caught her eye was the blue-dyed strands in her hair. They looked really good on the girl and matched her Ravenclaw uniform. Alliasta applauded when the girl finished.
"Oh hello! Well, I couldn't help myself and went inside. I didn't really want to interrupt anything, but you were playing great. And I wanted to take a look inside."
Alliasta approached the girl and smiled gently.
"I'm Alliasta Holista, they usually call me Alli or Asta, use whatever you want!"
Alliasta smiled again, a bigger grin this time. And she extended her hand for the girl to shake.Ability: Lovely Creature is in effect.

Avis smiled at Alliasta.
"Hello Alliasta. It's nice to meet you. Avis Marlong." She knew that the girl had given her nicknames, but nicknames were for casual conversation, to be spouted out of ones mouth on a whim, not this.
"Yeah, I really love the piano. I like saxophone better, but there isn't a band here, and solos aren't much fun on sax, since you can only play one note at a time."
Avis examined the girl. She was a Gryffindor, with a haircut that was popular...a year ago. It looked good on this girl though, but it seemed like anything would look good on this girl, that it wasn't the style, but the person. That would be good for making friends, but makes it harder to trust people.
She stood up and walked over to the girl, shaking her hand firmly, like her father had taught her, and giving Alliasta a nod of respect, before moving back to the piano.
"I've got a couple more songs to practice. I was meant to have a recital soon, but obviously, now I'm at a massive castle in the middle of nowhere, so... You're welcome to stay, I'd just request that you not distract me please".

Alliasta was already starting to think that Avis had a cool personality and formality. In fact, everyone who played the piano was perceived as serious and sane people in her mind. But she never wanted to be prejudiced, so she wanted to go with the flow and get to know Avis closer.
When Avis said she would play again and told Alliasta she could stay if she was quiet, Alliasta smiled broadly and nodded quickly. As Alliasta listened to the girl play the notes, she felt like she was next to her favorite cousin, Boris. Boris could also play the piano... Alliasta missed him. While still watching Avisi, she was amazed by her talents. Her hands glided gracefully across the piano. She always wanted to learn to play the piano, but she only knew a few notes. And this wasn't even enough to play a composition...
Alliasta liked this view very much and felt the urge to draw. Suddenly he found himself drawing Avisi. Avis. She didn't want to draw her face because she didn't know, so she chose a more aesthetically pleasing angle and started drawing there. This seemed to bring her inspiration. Alliasta loved drawing with this sound. Alliasta continued to draw until she finished. She was so absorbed that she didn't even notice that the piano sound had stopped...Ability: Lovely Creature is in effect.

Avis got through that finicky measure, mostly right this time, and continued on her song. She couldn't see the girl behind her but she could hear her. Or rather, hear nothing. The girl was quiet. Insanely quiet. Was she even breathing? Was she that invested in the song? This wasn't even that interesting of a piece. The next piece, Klavierstück in F, was much more fun. Now that was a song that could get your head bopping.
She finished her piece, again, and moved on to Klavierstück in F. She was a bit better at this one, after all, the fun songs are much more fun to play, and as such get practiced more. She tapped her foot as she played. Her music teacher-- her mom, like almost everything in her life-- had always said this was a bad habit for piano. After all, how was one meant to use the pedals while tapping one's foot? But Avis couldn't help it. She tapped her foot for sax and trumpet, and it was just a habit she couldn't get rid of.
After finishing her piece, she snuck a glance at Alliasta. The girl was intently focused on her paper, not even noticing the music had stopped, and Avis quietly slipped behind her to look over her shoulder.
"Nice drawing" She said as she tapped her fingers against her leg.
She finished her piece, again, and moved on to Klavierstück in F. She was a bit better at this one, after all, the fun songs are much more fun to play, and as such get practiced more. Alliasta giggled when she noticed Avis stopping and looking at her picture. She didn't expect the girl to come suddenly. And of course, if she likes her picture. She actually thought she would be angry for the unauthorized drawing, but Avis liked her drawing.
"Oh, I'm glad you liked it. I'm sorry I drew it before asking your permission, but you have a perfect aura and it looked too aesthetic to draw. Also, the piano sound really filled me with inspiration. Take a closer look if you want."

I don't claim to have drawn it myself, it's just an ai picture created for rp and IC.
Alliasta held out the drawing for Avis to see and hoped she liked it. Colored pencils were not enough. That's why she chose to draw it in pencil. She drew a drawing in a position where Avis's face was not visible, just as she wanted. She had really improved herself with the exercises she had been doing since childhood and the support of her uncle's wife, who was an art teacher for Muggles.
"I'm still improving. I'm making good progress with charcoal. These pencils were given to me by my uncle wife, Muggle pencils. I'm still trying to improve on color drawings. Also, drawing faces is a pain."
Alliasta sighs in complaint. She loves drawing, but even taking a break already makes her forget things. It must always continue. But she still won't give up on this.

Why would she need permission? That seemed strange to Avis. Did people usually ask permission before drawing?
And the pencils were given to her by her uncle's wife? Really? Avis was pretty sure that if her Aunt had gotten married, then her aunt's husband would be her uncle. Wouldn't her uncle's wife be her aunt?
And really, what was wrong with Wizards? It was as if they just chose to live in the Middle Ages. Why on earth would they not use pencils? They use a train, for goodness sake, but they can't use pencils and pens? And what was so wrong with the internet that every time Avis wanted to say hello to her parents she had to put it on a Owl?
It really was a cool drawing though. The girl was a good drawer, but sighed, seemingly annoyed with the distraction from her drawing.

"Well, this is a relatively good event, I really appreciate your family's effort to make sure you don't get bored. Hey, if you don't misunderstand, are you a Muggle-born? I mean, I'm not asking for a status. Only Muggle-born people are really interesting to me! Without knowing anything about magic... it's very impressive that they came here and achieved something!”
Alliasta smiled. As a Pure-blood person, she had already grown up with magic. Everything around her was already familiar to her. So seeing spells wasn't unusual for her, but she loved learning new things. And she was surprised and happy for every new spell she learned. She had muggle relatives, that is, muggle people who married their aunts or uncles. They were all the girl's family. But she still always had an interest in muggle things. Even these drawing pencils were as wonderful as magic to her.
"I already grew up with magic around me, but for muggle-born people this is something new. Just like some muggle items are new to wizards!"
Alliasta looked at the girl curiously. I wonder what she thought of Alliasta. So she always managed to make people love her. Because she was a good-natured and kind girl. "Muggle-born? Yea. Magic is pretty crazy sometimes. Pure-bloods are pretty interesting to me too, especially their seeming inability to use electricity or pencils." Magic was an oddly strange this to Avis. As a girl who lived with physics and science, this whole magic thing creeped her out just a little bit. Not that she would share that with anyone here. To them, Avis was going to look like magic was just another part of life, the same as what she had thought pencils were.
If this girl thought muggle-borns were so interesting, she must be a pure-blood or half-blood. Which was interesting, but not interesting enough for Avis to ask.
"It's really not that impressive. You just flick the stick around a little bit and say a couple of words and poof, something completely illogical happens that definitely doesn't work with science. But you know the saying, Magic is just science we haven't figured out yet"

Alliasta had never really given much thought to magic. So yes, they were casting a spell with a wave of their wand and a few magic words. But after all, it was in their nature. Very common and things she sees all the time.
Alliasta's eyes wandered over the girl. A Muggle-born, this place must have been different for her. and her personality was a little calmer. Magic didn't seem to excite her very much. But she was still very talented and could play the piano. This was already something that seemed very cool for Alliasta.
Alliasta thought. I wonder what it would be like if I went to a muggle school. So she doesn't think she'll be excluded, but it would still be a very different experience. She would definitely want to experience this.
"Yes, I think magic is like that... It hasn't been solved. Heh, it's a mystery. Anyway, if you don't want me to keep you busy anymore, it's time to feed my ferret."
Alliasta smiled at her when she went to the piano, waved, and took her notebook and pencils to leave.
"I hope we meet again. I'm hanging out everywhere. If you want to find me, it will be difficult, but come on, see you."
