An unforgettable encounter Closed

Aëlys was slightly surprised to see that the two young girls did not respond explicitly.

Well, especially the Gryffone. Ryann introduced herself, with the color of shame but also joy on her face.

The young man smiled when the Hufflepuff said she played the trumpet. He himself played the saxophone, which he was quick to say:

- Do you play the trumpet? It's great! I play the saxophone... we should form a duo! See a threesome if Kora joins us!

Aelys smiles. He could also have said that he loved dancing, among Muggles, he practiced seven times a week before Hogwarts.

Dancing was an occupation that was close to his heart, but the young man was disappointed not to really be able to dance since he arrived.

Aëlys then noticed that Ryann had just left, for a reason that he had not listened to.

The young Ravenclaw found himself alone facing the Gryffone... oops, what did I do?

Fortunately, Kora broke the silence by asking a question to which Aëlys tried to answer:

- I admit that I don't really have any friends yet, and the castle is so big that I often get lost... and you, how is your day going?

Aëlys was on the verge of telling him that he hated Hogwarts, but that wasn't the point.

The young man would perhaps tell him one day, when trust would become a part of their relationship.

Ryann came back later with food! yay! she was in a much more energetic mood enough to be grinning from ear to her ear her emerald eyes shining brightly. she looked like if she wasn't holding food, she would have run over to the two, she was bouncing a little too but keeping her balance so she wouldn't have fallen but started listening to their conversation she was behind them, she didn’t want to risk scaring them because they just met but...

"sure forming a musical group would be nice!" she said behind them, with a goofy and happy grin putting her hair in a ponytail instead of her normal pigtails and hummed slightly at them as she sat eating her food, it was chocolate milk, bisects and gravy, and a few carrot sticks, she started eating the carrot sticks, dipping them in her dip, watching the both of them talk while she ate, her confidence with the both of them growing even if they just met witch was pretty good, considering in the past her confidence with new people where close to zero except if she somehow knew them from family or friends, at least her family was there.

“It’s so cool how you both play instruments”

kora said glad Ryann had returned so she was not no long left alone with Aëlys not that he wasn’t nice or anything, well she didn’t know that for sure but anyway he just made her more jumpy and nervous she wasn’t sure why not yet anyway.

She watched as Ryann ate happy to see that she did get food eventually. Kora hoped this wasn’t the only time she would meet both of them but you could never be to sure with these things people come and go some quicker than others maybe this was it for her and these people never the less she was going to try ever so hard for it not to be.

“You two in a band would be kinda cool I mean it would sound cool because it would sorta sound like a jazz band or whatever we had one back home I wasn’t in it but i watched all their shows”

she blurted out the words seemed never ending until she stoped talking to look at them both wondering if they thought she was talking to much most people back home thought she did so why wouldn’t they

Ryann looked at kora slightly surprised but smiled.

"I’m no good at playing the trumpet let alone performing though..... Sometimes I get so nervous that I pass out or run away, or sometimes I even get sick....."

'why did you say that!? they really didn’t need to know that...... ughhhh why!? well at least I’m saying the truth but what would they think' she thought eating her biscuits and gravy, slower but kind of nervous now that she actually said all that allowed to them.

‘ok Ryann calm down… remember. You are confident. Resilient!, and you are just saying what you are saying to friends, it’s not the end of the world!!! You got this Ryann you are confident!, you are you! And you are incredibly happy and energetic today! And happy! You got this! Yes you do!!!’ she smiled now feeling more confident in herself again, her awkwardness and clumsiness slowing down and her confident shelf showing and feeling more brave and actually believing what she told herself, after a few more deep breaths, she calmed down and looked around at the two people, her body was now calm as she looked at them with a big proud smile.

“every time I have to go on stage to dance I get like that but after a while you get use to it I mean I have with dance and I hope you will to and one day I hope to see you play you too Aëlys”

Kora says calming down a bit seeing Ryann happy it made all the worry slip away replaced with joy it was nice and warm unlike the cold worry and paranoia that had been trapping her mind and pulling it down like a ship now the ship that was her mind was sailing nicely.

“I’ve always wanted to play and instrument like the electric guitar or drums but my parents said I had to have one hobby and I already have dance so but ya still a dream”

She felt like she could talk openly around these two even though she hasn’t known them long it just felt right to slip into talking about things like this. Her heart was still like a drum though beating Rhythmically but it wasn’t Nerves not anymore it was something she couldn’t quite name.

“What’s your favorite band mines ABBA mum use to play their songs all the time”

This information was useless but the question was the key Kora seemed to need music could be the key to making friends.

"the Band Perry, definitely. esspertaily if i die young,” Ryann said with a nod and a grin, it want a lie, she did love it but it was the only band name she remembered besides blink-182 a band her dad would almost always play she didn’t always remember the names but if a song played she would always listen and maybe even sing along if it was familiar to her and it was a song repeated often, and she didn’t know if Lincoln park was one, at least she didn’t remember. It may be one, but she couldn’t remember. She took a sip of water and ate her food quietly; she could only imagine all those songs, the songs she liked, she didn’t even know if there was a way to listen to music and she was holding back tears while thinking of her dad. Like her dad gene, her brother Alex, her sister Renee, and mom Sasha sitting in the living room, listening to the songs in peace, reading, drawing, croseing, or playing in the yard, soccer, swimming, running through the sprinkler, reading outside, playing tag, having picnics, she missed that, she almost started crying when she heard one of the two speak….

Aëlys notices that Ryann is coming back. The young Ravenclaw smiled at him.

Once seated, Kora, Ryann and Aëlys recommend talking.

- Don't worry Ryann, stress can be managed... and I'm sure everything will be fine.

When Aëlys heard Kora talking about dancing, her heart leapt in her chest. He who loved dancing so much...

He missed modern jazz terribly. Aëlys forces herself to smile:

- Oh, it's great to dance! I really like it!

The young Ravenclaw thought his words tasted bitter in his mouth.

The sensation her dancing body gave him was like a drug he had deprived himself of...

The young man listened as the discussion began to turn to the topic of music groups, which made him smile again.

- I love the French style... English level, the Beatles, could be among my favorites....

Aëlys catches her breath before glancing at the clock and declaring:

- Oh! I have potions class! I'm going to be late! I have to go!

Aëlys smiles at her two new friends, certain of seeing them again, before leaving, with a light heart as if this meeting had only been a dream...

- Goodbye! exclaimed the young Irishman to the two people who had succeeded in making his day more beautiful by their mere existence... Aëlys smiled, and he thought that all was not lost.
