ccalia had been having an absolutely wonderful time since her entrance ceremony only a few days ago, since then they had been filled with activity, especially exploration around the great grounds of Hogwarts, Today, her curiosity brought her to one of the school’s more intriguing places for some, a place she would surely get lost in exploring but not quite enjoy for its intended purpose: the Library in her eager desire to uncover every hidden corner, she approached the grand wooden doors, curiousity overwhelming her.

As she pushed open the heavy oak doors, Accalia was hit with a sight that took her breath away. The grand Library sprawled out before her, a magically immense space that seemed to stretch endlessly. Shelves rising high, reaching into a grand dome. The air thick with the scent of old parchment and ink, with an electrifying zing of old magic that tickled across her skin, rising goosebumps along her arms.

Entering the labyrinth of books, Accalia’s eyes widened. The shelves twisted and turned in what seemed like a random pattern, forming a maze that shifted and reconfigured with each step she took. Some shelves seemed to fold into themselves, creating a maze where it was easy to lose one’s bearings. Even the most studious students could find themselves wandering through the stacks for hours, searching for a familiar path.

With each step she took, the Library seemed to change around her.
Books floated around lazily, drifting through the air like they had their own agenda. Some stayed put, their spines covered in runes and symbols that glimmered faintly in the half-light.

Accalia barreled through the Library, her excitement palpable as she imagined all the wild adventures this place might hold, even though she wasn't usually one for sitting still and reading.

She soon found a cozy alcove, hidden away from the busy aisles and bathed in the warm glow of a magical fireplace making the alcove feel like a secret, comfortable retreat.
She flopped into a comfy chair and let her eyes drift over her surroundings as she did so they landed on a tome about magical creatures, its cover was coated in fur and its spine edged with fierce, toothy designs.

With a loud, enthusiastic shout, she wrenched the book open, not minding the sting from the book's bite or the pop of magical energy that crackled as she turned the pages. She began reading out loud, her voice echoing through the Library’s silence. As she read, she pictured the creatures leaping from the page to dance around her.

So absorbed was she that she did not notice that she had a companion in this alcove whose quiet time she was now intruding upon.

Dinner wouldn't be until later in the evening so Nabi had plently of time to spare before then. The secluded area she had found deep within the seemingly endless arrays of grand rosewood bookcases days prior and had been going to ever since; seemed like a good place to hide from the chaos of the castles' corridors that ensued from students and Professors moving about their business.

There she was in the library, enjoying her quiet time, away from the ruckus that came from Hogwarts and all the students she liked to call in her mind, "obnoxious self-minded children". The fireplace crackles a bit as the wood burns, a light colored ember adding a warm hue to the dark and cozy area. Nabi was sitting in a dark corner where the soft light of the fireplace did not reach, enjoying a cup of warm grapefruit and lemon tea. She had been calmly listening to the sound of the wood burn, when the tranquil enviornment was interrupted by a rowdy student. Nabi remained expressionless as she watched intently, the student walked in and plopped on a chair near the fireplace. The sound of the student wrenching open the book caused Nabi to wince slightly but continued to watch her expressionless. Nabi couldn't help but notice as the book fought at first and thought to herself, "goodness, she's as barbaric as the creatures depicted in the book". As soon as the student began to read outloud, Nabi rolled her eyes, the student's lack of consideration for anyone else erking her already limited patience. She cleared her throat so to make her presence known and said unamused by the student, "Your lack of consideration is quite insulting. Even if you were oblivious to the presense of others, this is still a library, miss..."

─────Head deep into her book on magical creatures as they were coming alive in her mind, Accalia barely registered the presence of others around her , however this focus was shattered the moment Nabi spoke up, her voice cold and cutting in the cozy atmosphere.

Accalia blinked, looking up with a broad, toothy grin, completely unbothered by the critique, scanning her nearby surroundings, her eyes landed on the dark-haired girl sitting in the corner, looking unimpressed, her delicate tea ritual interrupted and having spotted the girl who spoke up disturbing her reading time Accalia set her book aside with a gentle *thud*.

Oh, is it now?” she asked “My deepest apologies, I didn’t realize I was interrupting your... uh, very intense tea-sipping competition, ceremony... thing.” her tone dripped with mischief rather than any real apology.

Accalia leaned back in her chair, arms stretching behind her head, making herself comfortable as she watched Nabi carefully with that carefree smile ever stuck on her face.

I gotta be honest, though. All these books around, and you’re telling me *no one* reads out loud here? Seems like a waste of space and time." she laughed.

Then her face kind of went gloomy for just a second, she leaned forward a little, voice lowering to a low whisper, admitting her flaws never being easy for her, and added, “I guess I should say sorry, I should also tell you though... I just kinda *can’t* read in my head, like, it just doesn’t work for me. Set me to a field and I will run laps on anyone, set a book in front of me and the words get jumbly and demand to be spoken to be understood!”

The admission was said like everything, with a bright grin, but there was a hint of vulnerability in her voice. Still before it could linger, Accalia’s bright demeanor bounced right on back, never to allow herself to be too weak for too long after all she certainly wasn’t one to dwell on her insecurities for long.

Tell ya what,” she continued, “If you really need that peace and quiet, I’ll *try* to keep it down but I can't promise anything. So if you want me to stop completely, you’re gonna have to join me. Help me keep the noise down by reading with me. If you don't mind, I could brew you a second tea if you do? Or... I dunno... cookies or something... My name is Accalia by the way, yours?”

The way she said it wasn’t a demand, but an invitation.
Accalia’s body language was broadcasting that she really wouldn’t mind the company, especially not from someone as intriguing as the girl who clearly had no problem calling her out, in fact the zing in that girls voice was part of what now so thoroughly had caught her attention, she thought that the girl would be a feisty friend to make. Nabi calmly places her tea down on the table, her eyes never leaving the "barbaric creature" who was now made aware of her presence. Nabi's eyes narrowed slightly at the student's lack of sincerity to her apology and hums in response, clearly displeased by her "apology". She is beginning to think that the student may have no manners at all, certainly not after calling her tea time a "tea-sipping competition".

Nabi continued to observe the student intently with a stoic expression, almost as if she were observing a laboratory specimen. She watched as the student continued to speak, tilting her head slightly at how quickly the student's demeanor changed. She did not mention the student's sudden change as she figured it would be best not to question it, at least not yet. Nabi considers the offer the student, whom she now knows is named Accalia, made to her.

Nabi hums softly as she thinks,"does she expect me to read to her?...I doubt she even knows how to make tea properly...". She narrows her eyes slightly as she looks at Accalia, still thinking for a moment longer before finally speaking, "My name is Nabi...by joining, do you mean that I will have to read to you, Miss Accalia?". Nabi stands up, straightening up, she walks up to Accalia as if studying her, she realizes how short Accalia is compared to her and hums in response, "Can you make tea properly, Miss Accalia?...or do you attempt to make a mediocre cup of tea that should not even be considered tea". Nabi's posture is tall and stern, clearly having had a strict and perfect etiquette instilled on her perviously to Hogwarts. Nabi raises an eyebrow waiting for an answer from the " short barbaric creature", whose named Accalia.

─────Accalia watched as Nabi calmly placed her tea down and gave her an almost scientific look. The sternness in Nabi’s posture didn’t seem to faze Accalia in the least, in fact, it seemed to amuse and excite her even more.
When Nabi narrowed her eyes, clearly displeased with Accalia’s lighthearted apology and casually rude attitude, Accalia leaned forward slightly, an amused gleam in her eyes.
She could tell that this tall, beautiful, elegant girl wasn’t used to her kind of energy, and the thought only spurred her on further.

When Nabi finally spoke, questioning if Accalia expected her to read to her, Accalia practically bounced in her seat with excitement. "Yes!" she nodded, clasping her hands together as though proud that a kitten had picked up on a trick. "You’ll be doing me a huge favor! And think of it this way, if you're reading then my voice won’t bother you anymore, and I’ll learn so much faster if you’re the one reading. You’ve got this calm, serious, wooshy voice that’ll make even the more boring stuff sound pretty." Accalia’s bubbling over now, her words spilling out quickly as she tried to sell Nabi on the idea. "And its good for you too! You won't be distracted by my voice breaking through your quiet besides..." she added, flashing what Nabi may be able to determine was her signature by watching, a cheesy, cheerful, playful grin "it’ll be way more fun with company, don’t you think?"

However, when Nabi questioned her ability to make tea, Accalia's eyes widened dramatically as if she'd just been issued the most serious challenge of her life. "Doubt me! Tea not worthy of being tea!" she echoed, sitting up straighter and feigning an exaggerated gasp of shock. "I’ll have you know I’ve never-" She paused for effect, puffing out her chest like she was about to announce something grand. "-ever lost a single cooking match in my life. I can matcha tea with the best of them! I can brew with the brewst!" Her attempt at a pun was absolutely butchered, but she was completely unfazed by her own awkward delivery, pride radiating as if she'd just said something truly clever. "You’ll see! I’ll make you the best cup of tea you’ve ever had, and then you’ll have no choice but to admit that I’m not just some -" she paused, tilting her head and giving a mock thoughtful look, "-barbaric creature," she added with a cheeky grin, having clearly picked up on the way Nabi had been silently judging her.

With a confident toss of her hair, Accalia stood up and dramatically stretched, towering over herself despite being shorter than Nabi. "Alright then, Miss!" she said, putting on an exaggeratedly formal tone to match Nabi’s serious demeanor. "Since you seem so sure of my inadequacy, how about we make a deal? If you don’t like my tea, I’ll… I don’t know, carry your books for a month, buuuuutttt if you do like it, then you need to stick around me for a month as my personal reader and friend! annnnddd you’ll just have to admit that I’m the best tea maker at Hogwarts. Deal?" her eyes sparkled with mischief.

Accalia’s heart raced with the excitement of a challenge. Truthfully she had no idea whether she could actually make tea that would impress Nabi, despite her boasting, her track record in the kitchen was chaotic at best, but she was determined to try.
There was something about this tall, stern, elegant girl that fascinated her, and Accalia was never one to back down from a challenge, especially when it came to impressing someone new and intriguing.

She raised an eyebrow at Nabi, her grin unwavering. "What do you say? Are you up for the tea of your life?" holding her hand out to offer a shake of challenge.

Nabi raises an eyebrow as she watches Accalia nearly jump from her seat, like a loose spring. She can't help but notice how...enthusiastic the girl is. Nabi hums in response as she hears Accalia try to sell her on the idea of reading to her, as if she were some sort of sales lady. She remains stoic, her sternness deepens when Accalia describes her voice as "wooshy", she thinks to herself, " Does she really think she would be able to convince me by complimenting my voice?". As Accalia continues with her speech, Nabi notices her grin and hums in response, clearly unamused by her, once again thinking to herself, " Why would I possibly want to have company?".

Nabi watches Accalia feigns being shocked by her inquiry, Accalia's choice for a dramatical pause bring no humor to Nabi as she waits for Accalia to continue to her antics. She notices how Accalia fixes her stance in what can only be best describes as some sort of heroine pose. Nabi raises an eyebrow as she looks at her, unsurprised by the fact that Accalia described brewing tea as cooking. Nabi thinks to herself, already having begun to grow bored of her antics, " That is not cooking...", she was about to correct her when she heard Accalia's attempt at a pun. Nabi couldn't decide whether to laugh at her or to be slightly amused by the fact that Accalia managed to remain confident after making such a ghastly pun. Nabi narrows her eyes in thought as she observes Accalia, unsurprised by the fact that Accalia managed to noticed her silent judgements, since she had made no effort to hide it.

Nabi tilt's her head slightly amused by Accalia's attempt to appear tall and confident, she thinks for a moment, " This munchkin of a creature has no idea what she is doing, she called brewing cooking for Merlin's sake". Nabi hums and nods softly as she speaks, " I suppose I could entertain your purposal. I'll be fair, if I do like your so called tea, I will admit it, give credit where credit is due and be your friend for 3 days. However, if I do not like it, you will carry my textbooks for a day. How does that sound instead, Miss Accalia?". Nabi extends her slender hand out to Accalia waiting to see if she will accept this change in bet. Considering how limited Nabi's patience is at times, her offer of three days is quite generous. Even more when she decides to add, "If you do not have a tea kettle or any other essentials for tea, which I have a feeling you do not...you could use mine". Nabi patiently awaits for Accalia's response, her grey eyes observing Accalia.
